In the time that it took Gem to upload this after the first one, I watched two full let's plays of Dredge, bought the game for Switch, and beat it, and maxed out my boat, AND grinded out all the paints AND most of the encyclopedia. I am addicted. Call me crazy but Twisted Strand is my favorite area.
Literally me! I got obsessed with it after the first stream and just let the deep take me for several days And now I’m watching all the play throughs I can find
red glazed terracotta could be great for the runes on the rocks that only appear if you’re panicked enough! that could really add some subtle details but look great!
Subnautica is another great aqua-horror inspiration source, but I'm sure you knew that. I agree that the Stellar Basin area is very inspiring, the giant oceanic pit in particular (with the abomination inside) is such an evocative centerpiece. I've always wanted to do a full-blown Sunken City of Rl'yeh style of build...
I squealed in excitement, "yes, dredge part 2!" Dropped everything i had planned for tonight (not much, to be fair) and am now watching this upload. Thank you!! Loved the first part, bought the game cuz of you, and have been so excited to see you get to stellar basin!
Hi Gem! I went and bought Dredge myself yesterday off the back of your first video. You looked like you were having so much fun with it. Thanks for introducing me to it.
I’m loving the chill spooky vibes this series brings. If you’re worried about space at your Hermitcraft base, you could always build out on your research outpost, not ideal but plenty of space on the coral reef!
mincraft fun idea that involves red stone, skulk sensor hear approach, and red stone flying machine brings out giant ship wreck crab. orrrrrr day light sensor brings out house with eyes on hill
32:35 Maybe you could do something like the darker blocks scar used for his train tunnel? Still able to swim down, but also keeps some of the creepy vibes 46:00 I love the whole chat discussion lol
I'm loving these videos! I don't have the time to watch a full stream but these are edited so well I feel like I've caught the whole thing anyway! Just wanted to thank you for making these
i've been so sad for a bit and this video is really helping. i was saving this video for before bet because i knew i would need it. THANK YOU SO MUCH 😢. I love you and you are such a comfort in my sadness
I’ve been loving these Vods! I usually don’t have the attention span but I really enjoy these in particular, I can put one on and just pick up a crochet project and spend an hour enjoying myself!
The inventory system for this game reminds me of the dungeon-crawler Fate. In that game, you could fish for treasure, potions, and fish, then sell them to buy weapons and robes. It's been years since I played, but the music was iconic
I'm so happy that another Dredge video is uploaded! I love watching it while I am drawing and while I am just chilling. I kind of want to buy the game now because of you!
Gem, this is my favorite content right now. I first saw Dredge on Inseam's play-throughs and fell in love with it. So much fun watching different gamer's approaches to the game. Now that I know it's available for the Switch, I'll have to get it. Can't wait to see the rest of your play-through!
10:32 These stationary apparitions are similar to the ghost ships seen at night (most common in Stellar Basin, where they appear as both sail ships and fishing boats), and appear when panicked. This is the fourth or fifth one I've seen - the others are a shadowy shipwreck in the rocks below Greater Marrow's lighthouse, and two or three false islands bearing the silhouette of a dock and some lights from a building near it, which if I recall correctly (it's been a while since I've seen these and the memory is hazy, and I've likely not seen all of them) are on the east side of Gale Cliffs, one near the unmarked islands south-southwest of Twisted Strand, and one near the ancient temple well south of Devil's Spine. If I had to guess there might be more near the north of Steel Point, perhaps, or in some of the other unmarked island chains. Perhaps even near the Pale Reach. Obviously, exploring at night with the prerequisit of being somewhat panicked is a rather difficult endeavor.
Only a few seconds into the video and I agree Gem, it was a great video! I'm really looking forward to watching Ep.2! Thanks for taking the time and effort to edit these streams into a video for us. I'm usually working when you stream so can't really hang out live, as much as I'd love to.
I saw a video a bit ago where the creator used the glass fog effect underwater with blue carpet covering the frog lights under the glass to create a spooky depth look. Using varying colors of carpet or areas with no lighting may help emulate the dredge feel.
It is on the switch. And if you want the good ending, find the old mayor, Talk to him and go to the lighthouse lady ask her about the book after that go to the Collector don't give him the last Relic, puch him in the face, and go to the lighthouse lady again, ask her to help u and go to the place in the bad ending and Throw it back. Good vid btw 👍
So happy to see episode 2!! Your first episode got me hooked hah, pun unintended, but now i have it on my switch! Got it last night, already have around 4-5 hours on it, it’s so super fun‼️
After watching your first stream a couple weeks ago, I bought the game and have finished it twice, to get both endings. I just started a third play today and am attempting the "no sleep challenge", which is to finish the game without sleeping even once. We'll see how that goes. Being out at night early in the game kinda sucks, but not sleeping does speed things along quite a bit. Btw, if you don't have the Pale Reach DLC, I think it's worth it. It's a short but fun addition!
The palm trees are so gorgeous, I always wanted to try using Ancient debris for the base of palm trees but my husband won't let me "waste it on building" Lol
in the Minecraft server you could have a big drop right under grian's tunnel and you could look down into the abyss from in side feeling surrounded by it
I just finished the game myself. I am in love with it. Next will be the DLCs I guess. Have you played them? Now I can relax your stream vods without getting spoilers.
The other fishing ship will honk in a pattern back to you if repeat a pattern around it. It really scared me when it finished the honking pattern I stopped part way into.
What if around gem's base she added endermen or other creatures with glowing eyes, inside the walls and mountain faces and stuff, and during night, redstone removes the blocks hiding them and eyes could be seen in the darkness like the eyes at night in dredge that show up whem anxiety is high
Just one guy here, but I think the editing could be relaxed a bit if these're gonna keep coming out. Going from one spliced sentence to the next to the next is too much after a while. I suppose I could just pay more attention to when you're actually streaming, if I want content with more breathing room in it.
"that's grian, out fishing again." gem is so real

Why did I do the same thing 😅
Not to that extent within the game though lol. Which ending did you get?
Literally me!
I got obsessed with it after the first stream and just let the deep take me for several days

Feltt lmaoooo xDD
I got addicted to dredge to bruh
I wish I could get dredge so badly, but I don’t have any of the platforms it’s on 😭😭😭
red glazed terracotta could be great for the runes on the rocks that only appear if you’re panicked enough! that could really add some subtle details but look great!
Isn't the new tactic to get Grian to fish...
To ask him for anything permit-related
For the Abyssal Spot, you could build clouds high in the sky to over shadow the spot on top of a dark gradient leading downwards.

i love that in Minecraft you have a natural sense of direction and never get lost. mean while 15:09 lmao
edited streams have the best of both worlds, genuine responses of stream, and clean fast pace of a video. i love them!!!!
Flotsam (float some) is a type of shipwreck in maritime law. It’s also the name of one of Ursula’s eels in the Little Mermaid😸
Yay more Dredge! I‘m so excited to see some more of what inspired your Hermitcraft base!!
"The Reef is scared of me. I'm not scared of it." Girlboss. That is some amazing confidence there
Your playthrough made me buy and 100% the game before watching you so I didnt spoil myself! Really fun game, I love the inventory fiddling!
32:35 Maybe you could do something like the darker blocks scar used for his train tunnel? Still able to swim down, but also keeps some of the creepy vibes
46:00 I love the whole chat discussion lol
I literally cannot wait for the third stream.
I watched the first part of this yesterday and was super hyped when it ended, love fish game
Omg Gem I just got Dredge after playing the demo. At first I did not think it was something I'd like but I cant stop playing !! So thank youu 😊
These are so fun and cozy to watch, would love to see the full unedited stream as I can't seem to get enough this game!
YAY, EP2! A nice surprise to see in my subscriptions feed after work ☺️
I’ve been loving these Vods! I usually don’t have the attention span but I really enjoy these in particular, I can put one on and just pick up a crochet project and spend an hour enjoying myself!

I feel like you would enjoy the movie ‘white fang’ because it somewhat like the dredge aesthetic.

Loooooove this game! It's the perfect combo of creepy and cozy! I love to watch you play while I crochet!
Maybe you could do shading with black stone/black concrete under the water to make it look like it gets darker and deeper?
yessss!! im so glad youre continuing this series!
Only a few seconds into the video and I agree Gem, it was a great video! I'm really looking forward to watching Ep.2! Thanks for taking the time and effort to edit these streams into a video for us. I'm usually working when you stream so can't really hang out live, as much as I'd love to.

I am so severely tempted to get and play this game
Yay, was just looking on your main channel for something to rewatch during the lull at work, now I can watch this instead!!
So unbelievably excited for this!! Never seen Dredge before, but your first episode got me Hooked (ha). Thanks for sharing! :D
Hi gem! Just wanted to say that you've finally convinced me to get this game for my birthday!! thank you!! (p.s. my dogs named after yours)
Awe I just realized that I will need to wait another week to get the next Installment. Im enjoying this so much
It is on the switch. I bought this game on switch because of your last VOD. Its great!
This game is so pretty, I understand now why my friend told me to check it out.
I’m enjoying this weekly adventure
The palm trees are so gorgeous, I always wanted to try using Ancient debris for the base of palm trees but my husband won't let me "waste it on building" Lol
YAAAAAAY! GEM! YOU DID IT! DREDGE #2! IVE BEEN WAITING ALL WEEK FOR THIIIIIIS!
I think I’m in love with the researcher…
in the Minecraft server you could have a big drop right under grian's tunnel and you could look down into the abyss from in side feeling surrounded by it
The reasercher looks like gem!!
I love the squishy sounds of the fish
You could take inspiration from Scar's tunnel, it has a pretty good depth effect
you could build the big basin in the coral reef area!!
If you like aqua-horror then you should play subnautica. It is very fun and suspenseful!
MORE DREDGE LETS GOOOO
I was waiting for it
I just finished the game myself. I am in love with it. Next will be the DLCs I guess.
Have you played them?
Now I can relax your stream vods without getting spoilers.
ooo i need more gem plays dredge (o.o) but also,, at the sme time i feel like uncut vods would be cool too
The other fishing ship will honk in a pattern back to you if repeat a pattern around it. It really scared me when it finished the honking pattern I stopped part way into.
Been waiting for this vod
25:00 so...

I love how she acts like it’s Hermitcraft 58:05
INLOVE THIS GAME I WANT IT SO BAD
I think Grian found Rodney
I love these!!!!! These are amazing videos!!!!
What if around gem's base she added endermen or other creatures with glowing eyes, inside the walls and mountain faces and stuff, and during night, redstone removes the blocks hiding them and eyes could be seen in the darkness like the eyes at night in dredge that show up whem anxiety is high

The vods are still on twitch uncut! They will be there for a couple months before they auto delete
@@GeminiTwo Thank you, thank you. That's where I'll be then! Not gonna NOT watch Gem play Dredge.
would you ever upload the full uncut stream to youtube for the people who don't have twitch?
