I got my boy a rod for Christmas just gone. Just trting to get into fishing now with him. Not been since i was about 10 (45 now) 😂 Ill be needing a rod myself, and when i do ill definitely buy one from this shop. Looks a really nice place.
Well said about the rubbish John sadly some people don't care and they are the ones that will lose good spots for us all, I stopped sea fishing years ago and fish the rivers but even on club waters people still think its not their problem to take their rubbish home.

Cheers for the ragworm mate didn't get a sand smelt but did get a new one for my species hunt a grey gurnard in-between loads of whiting and a few nice pollock 👍 tight lines mate
Try making your hook lengths shorter John. Helps reduce crabs taking bait and stops lobsters nicking it completely. 3-4 foot rig body and a foot hook length.
As already said pal, I was there Friday evening and it was a shit tip with empty cans bags and soiled tissues. Took a carrier bag away of all the crap (literally)with me. Went back Saturday afternoon and it was rammed so what you see there is the result of an afternoon session. Parents fishing with kids……… teach them well
The squid and cart wraps need to be kept frozen, cart wings, coral or coral sticks should always be kept in a thermostat flask and took out as you bait up and then cast out frozen, if defrosted it'll just melt away straight away john. It's killer cod bait over rough grough.

Top tip John put your bait under the bonnet between bluefin and holyhead. Nice and defrosted when your setting up.
