Great video Steve, Shrewsbury was always my favorite venue 30 plus years ago, nice to see it picking up again, this video has whet my appetite to give it a go sometime, the fishing has changed a bit but those light conditions hav'nt😎. All the best for 2025.
It fishes best October / November, the roach disappear when the cold arrives, hadn't used to be like that on the Severn, seems to follow a similar pattern to the Trent nowadays. Will be good in February /March weather permitting
Another great video Steve enjoyed it , used to fish there 30 odd years ago . Fished a winter league there nearly all the section blanked , always blamed compensation water coming through of a Sunday back then , does this still happen. Is that the 13 / 15 foot Tournament rod your using , I use one there a brilliant rod for any method silver fishing . Keep up with the videos there all a good watch 🐟🐟
@philsmith5454 yes that rods probably 20 years old. Compensation water still affects the river, although rain seems to keep us off the river because of high levels
Great to see fish coming back

No Bleak?
yes was plenty of bleak over the initial 8 balls of grounbait,, moved out a rod length and didn't get many more
Did you not think any groundbait would be appropriate Steve, given the depth and flow?
@unionjakjakson Groundbait doesn't always work on this venue, If I was fishing pole to hand for dace I'd put some in
@@SteveMaher-ft5xx thx...makes sense.
