Jackie! I can relate to this so much! I too am a night shift L&D nurse who is suffering from burnout… our specialty definitely has good days (or seasons) and bad. Hearing what you’re going through and how you’re coping is giving my comfort just to know that I am not alone! I love my job, but it is physically and mentally draining… currently debating going to part time as well just to create more of a work-life balance! Thank you for the inspirational content! ❤️

How does nurses shift schedules work? Like yours? How do you pick/get the days/schedule you do? I am currently getting my ADN, and I am curious how the schedule works. Can you pick whatever days you want? Or is there set days you have to work? Love your channel ❤
It really depends on the unit you work on! I have three 12 hr nights a week, but the scheduler decides which days based on unit needs. Some weeks I do three in a row, others my days are spaced out. Weekends rotation on the unit also plays a part in which days you get!
Please don’t take any offense to this , but I was also breaking out and tried Curology (online custom formula for your skin issues). It transformed my skin. I wrk graveyard too and can’t help but think poor sleep along with other stuff can wreak havoc on ur skin🤔
You’re so sweet!! No offense taken at all! Haha. My dermatologist had prescribed retinol & it worked really well for me in the past, I just restarted it!! 🤍

What is resource? Is that like a charge nurse? I’m a nursing student just curious.
It’s not! It’s just an extra nurse that’s there to help in any situation and assesses the baby at delivery. 😊
