the ultimate defense set: *Formless wand (trigger when you get hit wand),* primary slots magic vines only, secondary slots: *arcane barrier,* CD runes, any boosters that gives +duration, and *lightning dash.* if you luck out on some ears relic too, you almost cant die unless you try for it. just be sure to have dps elsewhere or things can drag on for ages
Hammers gain large buffs from split, spell speed and thunder core, this part might be influenced by opinion but I think poison is usually better for them since hammer uses expansion stones so well for all the passives stacking. Obviously comes down to what damage relics are. Locking spell drops from a mini boss room gives you more levelled up spells to roll with in processing room.
Finished Nightmare 3 today, I feel like poison is OP. Also Standing stone. Lastly, serpents with clicker and the mana recovery missile is SOOOOOO LAGGY

Resilient Physique' s wording is weird... It feels like should be a damage dealt increase, with a damage taken reduction... But.
I feel like it should be renamed to glass cannon or something similar
