Hope everyone in that camp appreciates that deer camp and keeps it going in their family or circle of friends. Didnt have that when I was growing up and learning how to hunt. I've been invited to a couple deer camps and loved it!!! Dont let that tradition die!
Carl Trano - Glad to hear you enjoy it! Be sure to subscribe we have a lot more coming from this past deer season. And to be honest if you loved this video, you’ll really love the 2019 Deer Camp video when it’s finished. Thanks for your support
Nice i have a bunch of family that live around the country. Our camp is close goetzville over by detour. Has been some hard hunting there the last several years but we still enjoy it every year. Good luck this coming season bud.
Thanks for watching! We’re still armatures learning the ins and outs of the output when it comes to music. Sorry about it being too loud. Happy hunting!
I use to hunt Iron county years before this camp came along and there was a crazy amount of deer back then. I could only imagine what the hunting was like 35-40 years ago
Crabby bill those ground blind are deadly effective from Florida to Antarctica, if you don’t have any the best one has zippers which will seal up and keep your scent in , 50 dollars doghouse ameristep, is my favorite because of the zippers , with out them they leak too much heat and scent.
Crabby Bill I have bought them all , the expensive and the cheap , and I like the cheap ones the best , if someone steals it , you are only out 50, and a 300 dollar blind is much more enticing to a theve
ZM FITNESS - Thanks for your support! We’re wrapping up filming for the year and we’ll but back at it for season 2. Stay tuned, but in the mean time check out some of our other hunting videos from Michigan
Good video but I wouldn't want to camp with you guys. For this old-timer, having a radio blasting and generators running would defeat the purpose of being in the woods !! 😂
Chris Williams - personally I like islands in swamps. This island was over a 1/2 mile from the main road which allowed for a lot less pressure. While scouting this I noticed there was a major bedding area about 300 yards away. My hopes were that the pressure up front would push the deer into the swamps, all while trying to catch deer sliding back into their bedding.
I started my hunting years in germfask in Michigan’s upper peninsula I graduated in grand Marais would love to be able to go up for deer camp work too much 🤨
Glenn Bronson - A few of us actually started hunting out in the Germfask area before moving on to a new area about 15 years ago. Lol work seems to always get in the way haha
Kyle Beard - No sir, not about that illegal stuff. But you can bait in the UP and have been going there for years. If they took away baiting in the UP it would really put a hurting on the economy and the deer herd.
its not the size of the rack its the size/maturity of the animal....let them get to 3 or 4 years of age. Ive hunted with bow, gun and black powder for 55 years and have seen the effect of taking immature deer out of the herd.
Paul Leep - I respect those who embrace the challenge of chasing older deer. However, in our area of the yoop I have noticed a difference in hunting since the implementation of APRs. Which were put in place to protect younger deer. Unfortunately, it has had a negative impact on our deer herd. Wolves, bears, coyotes, and bad weather have always been in the equation since the beginning of time, so it is not just that. When hunters were legally able to harvest younger bucks with at least one of their tags, the hunting was far better in our area. We were also constantly killing older deer. Now we are passing spike after spike each year only to see the same thing the following year. Why is this? I honestly have no idea. I personally believe that it all depends on the area. For instance in the yoop in our area the “let em go, let em grow” philosophy has failed us, where in the TC area it has helped it. Either way, good luck this season! Hope you get the deer your after!
Sorry but if you are hunting for the size of the rack you are the problem with deer hunting. It is all about seeing deer and shooting any size buck. It is not "trophy" hunting. It is buck hunting.
roger martin -- I couldn’t agree with you more! If you wanna shoot a button buck or a spike, I’ll be the first there to help you drag him out. I am generally trying to chase older deer as I love the challenge, but I have nothing against those who take younger deer. In fact I get super excited for the hunter or huntress. We as hunters all need to be on the same page, because if we’re not we’re only hurting the sport. Good luck to you this season!
Oh my goodness, this is state of the art of deer camp,, you guys are the envy of the world.
bobby green - Thanks! Just wait till the 2019 deer camp video comes out! We changed things up a bit 😏

Hi Guys, Music volume is very loud. Fun video other than that. Thanks
Thanks for watching! We’re still armatures learning the ins and outs of the output when it comes to music. Sorry about it being too loud. Happy hunting!
Years ago..like 35 or so, i remember seeing some giant 140 to 160" deer from Iron , Marquette and Gogebic counties. Those days are mostly gone.
I use to hunt Iron county years before this camp came along and there was a crazy amount of deer back then. I could only imagine what the hunting was like 35-40 years ago
looks like a great camp, congratulations on the deer
Crabby Bill - Thank you! It sure is fun. I hope you had a successful time in the woods as well

Loud new country music chases deer away...and most anything with ears..lol
😂😂😂

Glad you enjoyed it! Good luck this season.
Use the atv to pull up buck. Then tie off. Easy peasy
Yeahhhh lol we’ve gotten a little smarter since then 😂 . Thanks for the watch
I hunt over by detour and enjoy the peace and quiet of being away from the crowds below the bridge
That’s a nice area! Good luck this year
How did you select your blind location? What did you like about that particular area? What county were you in? Thanks!

@@DroptineRidge thank you!
You guys definitely seen more deer than I did in Menominee county. What blind are you using?
rockstar49858 - I was using a Browning deer blind. Good luck this year!

Where in the up can you shoot does? We haven’t been able to shoot does here in the west end for years
There’s a couple counties on the west side you can shoot does in the UP at.
@@DroptineRidge I know in the south there are some DMUs but none here on the west end were I live
@@bluedogsurvive6501 - I believe they are: 022, 122, 255,155, and 121. I considered 022 on the west side. Good luck to you this year
Good video but I thought there was no baiting in Michigan
Kyle Beard - you can bait in the UP
Droptine Ridge that makes more sense I didn’t think you’d do something illegal then post it
Kyle Beard - No sir, not about that illegal stuff. But you can bait in the UP and have been going there for years. If they took away baiting in the UP it would really put a hurting on the economy and the deer herd.
