He loved listening to it as we fought the undead, and he loved this song the most to where he would find it and put it on repeat as we played. Sadly he passed away last month. I have been listening to this song remembering the times i had with him because of the game and your music. And I want to say Thank you. Thank you for making wonderful songs. It's quite ovbious that they were from Samantha's perspective. God, I miss the Ultimis arc of the Zombies story. I love the Primis arc but god damn the mystery of before.
redspiderman100 oh, the mystery of before, couldn’t have put it better. I think most of us were a bit younger at the time of BO1 and man! Did that game make your imagination run wild with near limitless possibilities, it gave birth to the wildest theories and myths and such. I loved Bo3 for gameplay and story, but being on the outskirts of the community back in the day was really something else, honestly the atmosphere is still there today and all but I’ll never be able to play the Bo1 maps without always looking at stuff outside the map or what have you and still think “what if”

Assuming this is for the five remaster? Because of Elena singing of course EDIT: I like how this song is a return to form in general with the heavy (Ish) riffs and Elena. The slower songs aren’t bad, but personally I like some riffs and drums is they’re gonna put in a song while I kill zombies lol
It’s heavily speculated that the reason Elena took a break from doing Easter egg songs in the first place was because the growls and screams damaged her voice after so many years. That’s probably why. I agree though, those would be nice for old time sake, provided she doesn’t hurt herself.
This seems unlikely to me as most musicians who use extreme vocals can damage their voice after years of prolonged use. Elena on the other hand would not be using this vocal method often at all, only to record small pieces in songs that would come out every so often, she wasn't performing these vocals live and after the songs were recorded she would have a huge break in-between games.
I personally don't like this clean voice as much. Kevin's riffs are so heavy and it seems that the voice doesn't keep up with it. I don't know, it's not a bad song, but it just seems a bit off
I've been waiting for these, one of my favorite parts of a new zombies map is the song Kevin makes. BO3 had amazing songs, let's see if BO4 can top them!
Oh MY GOD! This song somehow has the quality of a BO3 song, but FEELS straight from BO1! I can imagine this song being in the same game as Paredolia, 115, and Coming Home... yet, it's like Dead Again as well! Brilliant, and fitting for Classified! Even the name, "Shockwave" just screams the style of BO1 Zombies, and more specifically Five/Moon.
Also “now see me smile and evil grin, and fall again, because of him. I fade away” is Dr. Monty at the end of Revalations. And “an evil twin, like noon and midnight” is Shadowman and Dr. Monty?
I really hope they continue the original story throughout the DLC season for BO4 because man Classified literally is nostalgia heaven. You got the OG crew with the hilarious and amazing quotes, the classic story with Samantha being in control of the zombies, and you got the legendary music that was so iconic back in the day!
I just want to say another thing Kevin, you and your team are absolutely amazing when it comes to the songs you have created for the awesome zombies community, and i hope that you stay with it for a long time as i can't imagine a zombies map without your awesome music.
