Ahhhh to be 16 again, I was 16 in 2004 when this was all over FuseTV and rock radio stations. Times were different back then. If only I could go back in time and do things differently and do things over again, part of me would. I would have enjoyed the moment/ride of life. I'm enjoying it now, at 34 years of age.
We had this as our first dance at our wedding in 2006. He got his deployment orders a month later. We had no idea how much the lyrics would mean. 15 years and 5 kids later, we're still going strong.
Why do we not have bands anymore like this ... God I miss the old days of music !
My mom loved this song because she said it reminded her of how she would always love my dad, even after he finalized their divorce on 3/11 of 2004. I was 16, and I remember her crying when she heard this in the car. It makes me cry for her all over again. I love you mom. Rest In Peace!
