Awesome run, bad track design. There's a wind-block at the top end on one side but, on the other, after the grandstands end, where the cars open their chutes, it's open to the wind. The trackside flags are protected from the wind by grandstands, yet they were still moving left at full blow if they weren't tangled. You can see on the car we're riding on, it gets just past the grandstands into that space to the right, and then suddenly it gets blown over to the left, hits the wall, and rips off the wingtip. Once its exposed to a wind that strong, not only is the body a big sail at that point, but just think of the chute opening up into air that's moving to the car's left at 30kph? The driver did well considering what they were up against. At that speed that would have felt shocking. Starter would likely been better off if they delayed these passes for wind.
