Congratulations 👌🏻. A truly memorable trip to the U.k for all the Boba Crew I have no doubt. 8.2 seconds at the Pod, the golf looked so at home on the well prepped lanes at the Pod. Very little corrections compared to some of the unprepared tracks you run on back at home. I pay credit to the thousands of man hours and untold component failures you guys have gone through to get to this point. Respect to you and your working partners for achieving this outstanding goal. Keep up the R&D work, we all know a 7 second run is on the horizon. Look forward to meeting you all in the future.
you cant compare that car to them! its a stripped car just a shell with a motor! the weight is like 6-700kg and the agera and bugatti is like 1500-2000kg! put that weight in the Golf and it will be another story! pls think before you say something!!!
My point is: Everyone hypes Koenigsegg for being incredibly fast and states, that this makes it the better car. But this is only half the battle. You proved my quintessence (thanks for that) that it is quite easy to build a freakingly fast car - compared to creating a complete engeneering masterpiece. With the right budget you can strip a supercar to 1420kg and push its engine to 1509HP and make it just a shell with a motor. Boba's Golf is not a better car, as a Regera is not a better car only because they are faster.
just because it has no seats and no door cards/window regulators that makes it a shell and motor? what about the massive turbo, the 4motion drivetrain and all the bits and bobs? what else is missing? this weighs 900++++kg maybe a full ton dude so STFU.. and with the price of a hypercar you can have a whole fleet of these, have 10 times more fun and still have money for gas for a couple of years.pls think before you say something!!!
Do you think this cars setup and motor will last more than 3 months of forcing it, and racing in streets? And any other normal car is built to last more than you will last ... so you cant compare these few run masive HP cars vs normal regular hypercars ...
Boba built his Golf very, very thoroughly. It is street legal and the engine is alive for a couple of years now (I won't have to tell due whose engineering is this to). The major difference is, that they have to maintain it a lot but still it is exceptional reliable and I'm sure, that maintaining a Golf Mk2 for years is still less expensive than maintaining a hypercar once.
Nice work Boba! Sleepers are always cool. It is magical how you turned that old an inline 4 into this madness! But keep safe! Apply some rollbars, life cannot be replaced as a fuel hose!

Ich bin durch Zufall auf den Golf gestoßen.Hut ab und Verdammt Stolz kann man auf so ein Auto sein.Habe viele gesehen und einige gefahren aber das Auto Topt für mich Persönlich alles. Einfach nur Geil.Vor allen das es Schlicht von der Optik ist wie vom Band aber ein Beast im inneren beherbergt.

Absolut wirzig und genial so einen Motor in einem alten Golf zu sehen, aber wie alltagstauglich ist der Wagen? Kann man so einen Motor nur in DragRace sinnvoll benutzen, oder wäre der Motor auch für andere Rennen gut? Wie viel Geld steckt in dem Wagen und der Entwicklung mittlerweile? Was ist dein Beruf/ was hast du gelernt/ studiert, um das zu schaffen?
Nun ich weis nicht wie viel Drehmoment die Kiste macht. Ich selber habe einen Ford Fiesta ST mit 200PS und etwas Leistungstuning. Mein Seriengetriebe kann laut Hersteller 350nm ab. Aus Sicherheitsgründen bleibe ich natürlich drunter ^^ Allein das Getriebe ist für mich schon mega teuer. Das Getriebe von in dem Golf muss ja nicht nur das irre Drehmoment aushalten sondern es ist auch noch DSG welches wieder sehr schnell schalten muss sonst macht e sja keinen Sinn im Rennen. Denke auf jeden fall andere Leute kaufen sich dafür ein neues Auto :D
