I live in Spokane Washington and I have a Cali. I don't have the arches and where that picture in the dining room is, I have a window, also I have LVP flooring instead of tile. Mine is only 1797 square feet but I love it and it's a very functional floorplan
Formica tops? Plastic looking “tiles” in the shower and bathtub?! Do they even include the knobs for the cabinets? I noticed they were All missing! 4 Bedrooms and only 2 baths? What happened to 2.5 bathrooms? It used to be pretty standard in early 2000 when I bought our brand new house for $225k. Wow………
I'm moving in a cali next month. I don't like how there's no handles on the cabinets. Doors have handles for a reason, so do cabinets. So why none? Upon moving in I'm installing my own handles
I’ve seen some DR Horton communities install handles. They do different things in different parts of the country and in different communities. They seem to keep things pretty basic in places they’re trying to keep the price point low. That being said, you’d think installing some cabinet pulls wouldn’t break the bank for them!
theyre an easy install. we got black, 5in long, 24 ct boxes from lowes for about $25 each. i also grabbed a 2pc plastic template set that fit nicely against the corners and edges of the cabinets/drawers for easy placement. i drilled holes and installed handles in my whole house within an hour
@@kaykay1kcReporting back. I moved in last week. Handles are installed. However I noticed with the extra weight added to the cabinet, it tends to “swing open” the rest of the way if you open it partially. This is annoying because it hits the wall. I’m wondering if you had the same issue?
@@professorjack2099 i checked mine and it appears that around the midway point of being open, they swing outward or vice versa with them closing. i dont know if that's caused by the handles' weight or the doors themselves.
Typically no. Washer and dryer are not included. But I’ve started seeing some builders including them as of recent. Included appliances, in home tech and incentives are constantly changing.

It’s interesting how they add different variations across the country. There’s another community here where they don’t have the arches either
Thanks for this great video!
Thanks for the feedback glad you enjoyed it!
I live in this house 😅

DR Horton is not great on quality...
The lack of knobs is intentional in Cypress Bay and considered “modern”, that’s what we were told.
Great video!
Thanks 🙏🏼 glad you enjoyed it!
Are the washer and dryer included in the appliances?

@@kaykay1kc I'll upgrade to stronger hinges to something with more resistance and see if that helps.
Is the covered porch standard
It is not. It’s tied to the front elevation options.
I'm.vrrysonlu interested in learning more information. I was surprised to hear that appliances are included. I certainly have questions
