Loved this!!! I read this book last year and it was fun to revisit it without rereading it. Would love to see you do this again- it would be fun to read along with the time stamps!!
I think the sister was the grandmother’s nurse, which is how ‘Luke’ was able to convince the grandmother he was the real Luke. I think she thought Luke became Ian and kills Guy when Ian appears on camera and reveals what happened
I love this video format! It's so fun to try to unravel murder mysteries. I had a great reading experience with Murder in the Family, but hated the ending. My theories (and yours) were better than the actual resolution. Btw, I agree that Roger Ackroyd is a great book to do this for!
I read this book a while ago, so my memory is a little hazy, but I agree with your theory! I had the same theory, and I’m convinced it was true. However, because it’s told in mixed media, we’re limited by what is ‘public knowledge’ following the release of the show. I thought it was clever how the author left it open to interpretation
Great video, thanks. Suggestions for additional series written with "fair play" for the reader to solve. Rachel Savernake Golden Age Mysteries series by Martin Edwards. Set in 1930's England. Even a "Cluefinder" at the end to see what you might have missed. And Benjamin Stevenson's Ernest Cunningham mysteries. I read Murder in the Family last year. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more if I had made an active attempt to solve. But I like Cara Hunter’s D.I. Hawley series much more.
Great! I'm reading this in Nov. too so will watch full video later. For Nov. I chose 2 📚 each from 3 new-to-me authors. Charlie Donlea, Cara Hunter + Katherine Center. Close to Home is the 2nd Cara Hunter 📖 I chose. Good 📚 so far.
I love the way you edited this video with the suspect board! It’s so fun 🥰

1:19 this is such a great idea! I’m going to pick up a copy and try to solve with you 🥰
Roger akroyd is my favorite AC! I definitely think that would be fun to do a video like this for

What a fun idea! I’m going to come back to this video when I read the book.
Reading it now! Just got to page 76 and stopped so I could check in with you! 😊
Good job...🎉 your theory was better than the book writer's...😂
Great video, thanks.

Ohh I just bought the Thursday murder club and want to try to solve it, although I don’t have much faith in will 😂
I've read that book and I actually prefer your theory 😂
Happy November! 🍁
I LOVE MURDER MYSTERIES! I just finished an awesome Locked Room Murder Mystery and it was fantastic! I did a review!
