Hi.. may i ask. I have the same pump on my chev captiva. The fuel comes in from the low pressure pump into the high pressure pump but very very small drips come out of the pump to the common rail. Does this mean something is not ok with the pump? Need a service like this one?
In this case, there are a lot of return fuel quantity from injectors, when your car has delaying on crank it might be nozzle of injectors has damaged; can't spray fuel. So you should check the injector fuction, and fuel pump, IMV valve. thanks

Additionally, the internal carbon buildup can cause irregular pressure formation, and one of the pistons is constantly compressed, leading to weakened piston spring tension, which may prevent proper pressure buildup.

I have Borsch 0445010206 I cleaned the injectors in ultrasonic cleaner but didn't take them apart, I didn't touch the pump, now according to G-scan I only have 383.9 Bar instead of 1600 Bar DTC P1186 =Minimum Pressure at Low Speed Too Low. The car won't Rev past 3000 rpm.What did I do wrong or was it bad timing. If I get the pump service how long will it last? Thanks
I changed Inlet metering valve(IMV) because that's the key function part. and using the other components after cleaning. CODE P1186 ; 1. check each injector's return fuel quantity, if return comming out like stream, that's the broken injector. 2. Inlet metering valve malfunction; please change IMV, and please use Bosch or MOBIS genuine, some chinese product on online mall is useless. Most of this kind of cases can solved after these steps. However if it's not solved. check below option A. fuel filter defected B. RPM issue ; air intake system is not airtight

when you cranking check the rail pressure comes up normal and also check retrun leak. if return leak is too much, that's injectors problem. return is normal, you have to check common rail leak or pump malfunction. rail sensor or low pressure pump might been damaged. and IMV malfunction. we need to see in field to know what's worng about this case, but summary of case is this. thanks
@@nos00what about the fuel that comes out of this pump that you are repairing, can this cause a bad cranking? there was a little fuel that got out of that pump, but now is getting bad and there is a lot of fuel that comes out maybe beacause of winter cold temp, but for now car is not starting, its just cranking but not starting, is this the pumps fault? and if yes can u tell me where can i find this pump in europe because is very hard to find this piece, thank you

I have a BOSCH 0445010404 (renault 167008960R) fuel pump which leaked fuel at cold starts, I purchased a SH pump the same PN, but with this SH pump I have active error "low pressure pump open circuit" from the first ignition, even before starting the engine, and the tank fuel pump is making strange noise. If i put back the original pump that is leaking the error dissapears and the tank fuel pump is silent back. Both high pressure pumps are the same PN (bosch and OEM PN). The engine starts also and has the nominal fuel pressure but the error remains active continuously with the SH pump. Do you have any advice for me?

It seems like a pump issue. You might need to overhaul it. Alternatively, it could be an issue with the IMV (Injector Metering Valve).

If there is a problem with the high-pressure pump, try replacing the existing inlet metering valve with a new one.

As per my experience, as long as the original seals are soft and functional, it is better than the New replacement seals with low quality rubber..
