The valve purpose is to open/close the flow of fuel from the priming electric pump to High Pressure pump. After that the fuel goes to the rail end and injectors.Try to check the fuel flow on the inlet to each injector-one by one - bleeding the air from fuel lines.

It do dim the light because it has something to do with frequency of current not curent on itself I think
    On oscillo it shows waveforms

Seems like its doing what the ECU is commanding ?

have you checked the resistance of the SCV? usually if the reading is higher for example its normal reading should be 3ohms but when tested using a multi meter if it reads 5ohms is already subject for a replacement, have it also scanned to show the live data stream of the SCV if it can still hold pressure

Thanks for your comment Oli. That car is sorted. It was actually the fuel pressure issue due to lack of enough priming. I'll update it in the description above

@@MrZakmuh What exactly do you mean by priming? I have about the same problem. I cleaned the injector housing and replaced the seal on the intake manifold (the thing where the camshaft is under). Now the noise i had before is gone, however i now get 0hpa fuel pressure. I belive this is connected to either a faulty sensor or the High pressure pump. Im still trying to rule out what the exact cause, is. I did not try to remove any air from the high pressure metal lines (according to the internet this isnt neccesary and i i actually wouldnt know how to do that properly)

Priming...let me put it this way...it means getting rid of air from fuel and getting a steady fuel supply to HP pump.
Basically for Volvo, you need turn ignition key ON and OFF until no air is left in the system.
For this when you turn ON ignition, check if you could hear air bubble noise in the fuel filter housing under rear passenger seating. If you do then keep doing ON/OFF cycle like 20 times until you could only hear a whining noise without fuel flow noise

And how many it supposed to be on the computer? 600all the time? Without switching off after 5sec?

    Hello,
I have a 2017 Volvo V40 D2 2.0 with the same problem. How did you fixed?
    Regards

You sure that’s not metal shavings on the tip of the valve? Is the pump in good condition?

This design!! What I encountered! The car malfunctioned! It stalled when taxiing! It’s really dangerous! At least let the fuel pass! Instead of shutting down completely!
