The floor plan is exactly like the Grand Design 2150 but, in typical Open Range style, it's executed so much better. Additional cabinet space in the rear bath, better pet dish design and placement, more efficient use of space behind the entertainment center, bedroom hanging closets that don't close you in (and a laundry shoot), double pull-out storage next to the fridge, higher quality roof design, whisper quiet a/c, equiflex suspension and dual 30# LP. Plus, true, tested 4-season construction and a carpet-less floor flush slide and 500 pounds additional cargo capcity! What's not to love?
That removable table looks straight out of the Grand Design Imagine 2150RB. I loved that floorplan when I first stepped in. Plus with the "R-50 insulation" on the Imagine, I knew I could camp in the arctic circle with no issues whatsoever! LOL! Just kidding, and thank you very much for debunking R values in your videos! Open Range knocked this one out of the park. Especially with the actual tested insulation values and the quiet AC. This is definitely on the hot list once we transition from renting units to buying one!
I love this camper. Its the perfect couple size. Im hoping the cost is reasonable. We are in the South and the prices here are so high. I 💘 watching your vids. U point out all the things we might miss. Great job!!
Great loooking coach. Always impressed with the similar Grand design floor plan. Lot's of usable room for the size. I'm curious about the floor construction. Are they using foam floors vs. wood?
That cabinet at the floor level behind the tv is great for a kitty litter if you have a cat, remove the door get a tension rod with a curtain your done Kitty taken care of.
Dollar cheaper is not always the best value. When I was in sales I had to explain the difference between price and value. It broke my heart to see people cheap out and get the cheapest, when for a dollar more they could have gotten 10 dollars more worth of stuff. What some people don't know, is often the largest margin is on the cheaper items, not always, but often. Course sometimes the cheapest item is a loss leader, still doesn't mean it's a good value.
This is so painfully spot on. Recently a fella named Aaron joined our sales team who was actually my own customer about 5 or 6 years ago. We stayed in touch and really formed a friendship. He came up to me after his 2nd month in sales and said "you know... doing this job I have a whole new appreciation for what you did for me and how much it actually took -- all the things I didn't see. It's crazy how little people understand what a good sales person actually does." I simply said "if you really are good, then they should never know how hard you work." You could tell it was starting to make sense.
I missed the length at the start of the video and was blown away a 2102 could have that big of a feel. I was totally deflated to figure out it’s almost 27’ long. Why not call it another floor plan for the 24xx?
Josh, I love my 2017 Jayco x23b except the Coleman-Mach AC is outrageously loud especially if you wear hearing aids. I want the Quiet Cool ac in my next trailer. I'll probably buy next spring. What other brands of couples campers ( 25-30 ft) offer the quiet AC?
Really narrowing down our choices until this came around! Waiting to see new keystones. When the time to buy comes we have no problem taking a drive to buy our new camper...the question is about service. With no dealers close by - what do we do if we need service?
Hey Josh! I wanted to ask 2 more questions about this model. 1: Is it available with any other seating packages, like theater seat, or booth dinette? 2: Does Open Range tuck their knife valves up inside the enclosed under belly for protection, only keeping the dump handles outside in the elements?
*SEATING:* What's shown here is the only seating available in this model. However, the similar Rockwood 2511S offers a dinette w/floating table, Hide-a-bed with floating table, and theater seat. At the time of this reply we actually happen to have one of each in stock at: bit.ly/2zQG5vq *KNIFE VALVLES:* That's a phrasing I've not heard before. I think you're referring to the holding tank gate valves, though. Open Range was the first ultralite series to actually test and prove viability at sub freezing temps. Others had claimed it, but they were the first to prove it. They have the protection where it counts :)
I prefer the 2018 and older versions of the 21 floor plan. It had a center island and seat in bath. Can you still order them that way ? Perfect couples small trailer
Here's one for ya, Josh. My parents bought this unit and it had a "Wifi ready" or wifi prewired sticker on the window. Do you know what system is being pre-wired in these open range units? My Flagstaff has a wifiranger, but I've seen absolutely no documentation from Highland Ridge on what system is pre-wired, or to what extent it might be pre-wired. Can you shed any light on that for me? I'd like to help them get everything set up, but I can't find any information on where to even start.
It actually connects through the TV Antenna. A few brands do something similar (Like Freedom Express). I would advise them to contact Highland Customer service who should be able to provide full info.
This Friday is the new 'creative Friday'!!! WOW!!! This is such a #new floor plan from #OpenRange!!! LOVE this L shaped couch with this innovative table!!! The perfect pantry is FFFABB!!! :) #travel #HaylettRV #ultralite
It's quite similar to a Cougar model we carry that does feature a king bed. You can see it here: bit.ly/2nHNvOJ At the time of the reply we also have one marked down on clearance!
Are there any other RVs with a similar floor plan that weigh less ? I'm towing with a 2008 scorer 4.6. It has a 7k tow capacity but of course the lighter the better Thanks Hicks
Nothing significantly different in weight. You can save about 200lbs on a Rockwood 2511S (Seen here: bit.ly/2qeYnon), but that's about it. To reduce weight further you'll need to decide which features you're willing to part with. Perhaps something like these will work: bit.ly/2qFmxbL
*PLENTY* of brands make a layout like this. They all do it a little differently. You can see a few samples at bit.ly/2p7gUmq Some use an L-Lounge. Some a theater seat. It just depends. Our team at 800-256-5196 is always happy to assist in return for the fair shake at earning your business!
open range is so confusing right now... i understand different decals such as rockwood/flagstaff, but they have open range, mesa ridge, and now they created the new silverstar that offers the same thing!!! why?????
* Open Range is the vast majority of their sales. Always has been. * Mesa Ridge was originally intended as a lower-dollar version of the family. It didn't take. So, for production simplicity they simply made a clone of the Open Ranges. * Silverstar is what's called a "Private Label" made for a specific dealer/group who has ordered exceptionally high quantities. Camping World does this with their "Exclusive Brands" like Mallard (which is a North Trail). The idea behind a private label is a dealer has a monopoly on an uneducated customer & can charge more money for the exact same product. Stick with the main name brand (Open Range in this case) and you'll be fine.
I think every RV has great qualities. This has quiet A/C and zero carpeting in a deeper slide -- all of which are exclusive to this class. Rockwood makes a similar model called the 2511S with larger storage and extra closet space in the bedroom. They're all neat in different ways. You can compare them side by side here: bit.ly/2qeYnon
Hi Josh. I have been asking via email about this unit without success. I hope that you can help me. Can the the fold out bed be used with the slide closed? And what are you asking for this unit.
Sofa will not open with slide closed. I am away from the office and cannot look anything up right now. Call 800-256-5196 and someone can get the price for you. Being out of town I haven’t been able to update anything.
the entire NoBo line is literally just R-Pods attempt to make a dollar cheaper Geo Pro by Rockwood. You can see the Original version of that layout here: bit.ly/2I62top Offroad package with larger tires and suspension also available.
Absolutely. Think of it like this: Geo Pro is the original/name brand. NoBo is like the generic or walmart brand. It's functional, but just not the same.
Busy time in the office right now, so I happened to get this one posted before everything has been run thru the office. As soon as we can we'll have pricing published to our site like normal. You just caught us a bit out of sync. You're welcome to call in, however. Any of the sales team members should be able to get pricing for you any time.

Lighting the colors up would be great on this unit and any unit.
Great loooking coach. Always impressed with the similar Grand design floor plan. Lot's of usable room for the size. I'm curious about the floor construction. Are they using foam floors vs. wood?
Absolute best floor plan of any comparable trailer.
If anyone's curious what's comparable you can see this layout built from other brands here bit.ly/39zK3d0

Nice pro tip!!!!!
I like this one - Thank you! I watch many of your videos but rarely comment. The information you provide is well received and appreciated.
TY Rocco. You'd be surprised what a quick kind note like this means to people sometimes.
This one is in the running for me! I need a tow vehicle tho...

Boy I like that! Needs some solar panels on the roof tho. Love love love the bare wood floor layout. And the dark wood cabinetry.

None of which I am currently aware. It was an Industry First when Open Range brought this feature to the light weight trailer market.
You do a great job. We are looking at a 2019 Jayco 330RSTS do you have this model in.
Very nice couple's rig but what's with the micro sink in the bathroom?
Great storage for such a small travel trailer. Nice RV. Great vid as always. Thanks.
Thanks Josh, this was the Video I was looking for....
I can't say 1 thing that I don't like! Except about Open Range dark interior colors. But I'd deal with it for this beauty!

If you're referring to the discontinued 216RBS, then no. It cannot be ordered.
Looks very similar to the Cougar 1/2 ton series. Are they made in the same factory?
Completely different staff, companies, and facilities.
I would move the "fur buddy" bowls to that bathroom drawer. To me it would better left open there than in the kitchen.

I didn’t notice what type vent fan is in the bathroom. Is there something that moves a lot of air?
Normal bath vent fan. Easily upgraded to something like a MaxxAir (such as those already found in a Rockwood 2511S) if interested.

This is prob an odd question but it caught my eye; what are the '3' PEX lines for going to the bath sink? Hot, Cold and...
Yeah. Three of us looked at this video. No Clue. One guy walking out to look.
I gotta say... you have an eagle eye my man
She's a beaut no doubt . This or Alpha Wolf 23RD . This one being a little shorter it's easier to hide , lol .
What is the weight for this rv? I really like this one.
Listed right at the 00:05 mark Shelly.
Also, you can get full specs here: bit.ly/2OLvUOr
Loving this one! Really loving this one!!
Is this footprint still available in 2021??? Can you replace sofa with two small chairs???? Storage, storage, storage!!!!!!!! Pricing please???

@@JoshtheRVNerd Wow that's a lot of information! Thanks for clearing it up!
Nice, very nice.
Nice lil camper
Can anyone tell me if a half ton can tow this?
Late model tow package 1/2 ton will handle it just fine.
What are your thoughts between this and the Grand Designs Imagine 2150 RB?
I think every RV has great qualities. This has quiet A/C and zero carpeting in a deeper slide -- all of which are exclusive to this class. How does it do on dirt roads/no roads?
Not made specifically with off road use in mind. Will be fine on any regulated road.
@@JoshtheRVNerd I'm interested in the FR No Bo 16 series. What is comparable to that other than the tear drops and the Aussies?
the entire NoBo line is literally just R-Pods attempt to make a dollar cheaper Geo Pro by Rockwood. You can see the Original version of that layout here: bit.ly/2I62top
Offroad package with larger tires and suspension also available.
Would you recommend The Geo Pro over the No Bo? Have you had any feedback about either?
Absolutely. Think of it like this: Geo Pro is the original/name brand. NoBo is like the generic or walmart brand. It's functional, but just not the same.
Is it a walk on roof?
Yes, oh absolutely. Nearly identical roof structure to a Jayco.
