Excellent review with frank and proper feedback. I remember when Hyundai and Skoda were cheap budget cars. not anymore. I welcome the competition into this, as you say, expensive market.
People love to rag on KTM at every opportunity for some reason. If I'm being generous, maybe it's because they think KTM is/was special and is losing that as it becomes this massive corporate blob.
I'v got a riding circle of around 10 fokes, and i swear the 4 KTM's are ALWAYS in disrepair. Meanwhile my mate with a VFR basically has decided that he wont EVER maintain it, and it just does not give a flat fk about it, fires up perfectly everytime.
Hey Chris, In September I have bought one. The bike has been only on the road (4000km) so far. We have been out for trip for a few days in germanies landscape wich was nice and comfortable. Thanks for this impresive test. in this video i have seen that the Voge is able to go into soft off road trips. This is allready planed for 2025 in Italy. Great to see more and more exceptionally keenly priced motorcycles on the market in recent times. *That Guy on an Africa Twin* (CRF1000L) proves that if you really take the trouble to develop your riding skills over a long period, you can wrestle all sorts of machinery through some ridiculously extreme terrain. Be interesting to see how these things work out reliability wise. My 2016 Tiger 1200 cost me 8k two years ago. Getting a brand new bike for not much more seems like a bargain.
Fit & Finish is Superb. Standard spec is unbelievable and includes 3 part metal luggage & frames - which Chris asked to have removed. If you order an F900GS to the same spec it's almost 20k! Because Everything is an optional extra on the Bee-em - heated seat, heated grips, quick shifter, sat nav, dash cam, hand guards, bash plate, engine guards, centre stand, adjustable screen and luggage. All standard on the Voge...
Youre shure right, BUT id rather have a mid tier ByBre than a cheap Brembo set up. That is literally the only problem i have with this bike after a week long test ride.
There has to be affordable bikes for the fresh blood coming through. There's certainly several Chinese manufacturers that have good quality control and offer great value - it might save motorcycles (along with Enfield and bsa).
Previously Japanese bikes were very affordable now the price has almost doubled if not tripled. The Chinese can come in and take the market. I remember buying brand new bikes for £3k now mid sized bikes are easily £11k it's over £5k now for a 125cc
Interesting point, this is only the third '74 plate I've seen so far. A Bentley in Ipswich, a Ducati on the Norfolk coast yesterday, this Voge on a youtube video. 3 weeks, couple of thousand miles, only three plates. '24 plate was the same earlier this year. Things have become too expensive, people are not buying the shiny new things as much as they were and when they are they are picking up cheap. £9k for the Voge or £12.5k for the (poverty spec) F900 (£17k for a like for like spec)? For middle weight, middle aged, bald me, that extra £8k in my pocket is doing me a lot more favours than a roundel on the side.
Could you make a video about Kove 800X Pro? I am going to buy it next year and want to hear your opinion on it. Thank you a lot love your videos Chris.

I think depreciation will be the issue compared to the 'mainstream' brands. But these and others from China do seem to be making a persuasive argument for themselves right now. It's a little like when the Japanese bikes first started to be taken seriously in the 1970's
In the USA, any new motorcycle will depreciate 40% or more in the first year if you actually ride it. Lose 40% on $30k or lose 40% on $9k, that is the question. You can buy 2 or 3 of these for the price of a Multistrada or BMW. That is another consideration. You can actually buy a back up bike. Ride one while the other is getting service.
The big problem for me is that "you have to take the punt" line. Thats great if you stand to lose a few quid or something but if something important goes wrong on a bike the results tend to range from ouch to being boxed up. Not saying it will but once you're into things that can get you into trouble speeds in a few seconds its just not worth the risk to me.
