My phone got water in it from a leaky sippy-cup. I had it repaired at a shop, but they didn't look at the camera. The lens (not the glass cover) has water spots on it making my pictures blurry and spotty. Am I right to assume that the water dried and left the spots? Would you recommend replacing the whole camera, or cleaning the lens? How often does the screen crack when it's opened by an inexperienced person. Are the "snaps" as easy to disconnect and reattach as this video makes it seem? Are the cameras you sell as good (picture quality) as the original? Thanks!
+Laura Vellenga You would possibly end up damaging the screen as it's a very delicate process.Replacing the lens may be a good start but it's difficult to confirm if this would be the issue as it could very well be the camera itself.
hi, question: i replaced the camera like in the video. The camera is working perfect.but my screen has purple spots in it after i finished the replacement of my camera.Did i aply to much pressure and is my screen now broken?... Greetz
Hi, I have a new Galaxy S6 G920F, the phone works great but the rear camera has a fail focus and I have to wait some time (30 seconds approximately) or shake the device to focus works otherwise the photo is blurry. If I replacement the rear camera the problem will be solved? PD: Sorry for the bad English I speak spanish.
+Adriano Quintero I have the S6 edge+, I noticed this first time when I was walking down the road and opend the camera, it needed like 45 seconds to focus. But this is not always, this mostly happens when I don't use the camera for 12 hours or so. So, how is your S6 now, did you solved it, replaced it?
I managed to get replace the camera but in the process, I think I fried the motherboard. The screen is black and the blue notification light pulsates. It take took so much heat to take the back off that I think the mobo couldn't handle it. This is the downside of buying ultra premium phones. This is why I prefer the Lumia 950--high end specs but an easy to remove plastic back.
+ivan aleman It's a hardware issue. Get a replacement because the gyro for the camera is faulty. Your phone is from the early S6s that were made last year and has a faulty component.
Just learned about this is on my phone. I suggest instead of just commenting actually look up the problem since a lot of the time people are too lazy to reply.
I replaced the camera that had spots on it from when the lens broke. it worked fine but had spots. after replacing the camera I get "camera failed" so I put the old camera back in and now that says "camera failed" I reset all connections several times. I then cleared the data and reset the cache partition in the boot sector with no luck. I also tried a 3rd camera. I also noticed that my flashlight doesn't work either. Any ideas on what could be going on or a possible fix
Ray H Fuck.......... I spent a lot of money restoring a fucked S6 edge, only to get stuck on this problem as the last step. I wish I started on this one...
I can't even get the back cover off! You made it look so easy 'insert tool into gap between back cover and mid frame' - I have zero gap anywhere, what can I do?
ya, this video leaves out some important details, such as..when you insert the ISSMO tool , to remove the back cover, it does't just pry off easily. I got the back off, but scratched off the paint on the backside of the back cover. Thanks Fixez....if i would've known that my back cover would be ruined, I would've ordered that part from you too.
+Ace Bass It's definitely adhered well from the factory, it may get damaged on the removal process. Using your heat source and correct pry tools to remove the back cover.
@@techcentre1065 Haha, that's not exactely a good explanation ^^ I managed to do it though. My guess is that (s)he maybe scratched it while removing the battery?
I just replaced my camera and when I turn my phone the screen doesn't turn on and the blue notification light remains on. I double checked all of my connections but don't know what is wrong with it. Any suggestions on how to fix it?
Thank you. Worked flawlessly and easy to follow. Great video.
Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback!
What if I only want to replace the broken glass covering the camera? I would appreciate it if you could answer me
***** thanks I ordered the piece but I'm a little worried about messing things up
***** what kind of adhesive did you use and what size?
Followed step by step and was able to successfully replace the camera and battery. Camera works but now won't focus. Any thoughts?
do I have to stick back the LCD module and battery once I am assembling the phone?

where I can buy the camera for s6 greetings from mexico
is this the same procedure for GALAXY S6 EDGE PLUS?
Similar process but overall it would be different as the device would be configured differently.
Do you know if the edge plus camera replacement would work on a regular s6?

+Ray H I would check to ensure the camera connection and surrounding components were not damaged.
Did you manage to fix it? I've just replacement my camera module because of this damn error, but still doesn't work.
No and I tried everything

Nice, and i cracked my front screen. Yeah, this video leaves out details. where's the "middle finger emoji"?
On top if it, their rear-facing camera IS NOT OEM! It doesn't fit!. i had to file off the corner. of the plastic casing.
thanks for the help
I had a local shop replace my camera... $40 and 2 hours of waiting... lol no way it'd be as smooth as this video looks if I did it myself
Dillon Ainsworth not smooth as the video but definitely plausible with the right tools and patience
Im having a hard time reconnecting the red interconnect cable, any help?
its impossible to take off the rear glass for me. no way to get anything underneath it.
+Ace Bass It's definitely adhered well from the factory, it may get damaged on the removal process. Using your heat source and correct pry tools to remove the back cover.
+Fixez.com I finally used a suction cup to pull it off after heating it but it was still very difficult.
Definitely, we understand it's a process to remove this. Glad to hear you did though, great job!
According to this video I will have to wait for a year in order to have a new one, because all those steps look pretty hard.
why does my screen flicker and not turn on after doing this?
it happens the same to me. What did you do?
You guys somehow cracked the amoled. Its about a 285$ replacement.
@@techcentre1065 How can one avoid that?
