  • just a ride along while I do a 0-60 test. (There is a lot of talking skip to 3:15 if you just want to see the 0-60, I understand I'd do the same thing)

      K T Jeep yeah buddy, the Tons were a literal ton of work but now that it’s been done for almost a year I’m glad I did it. There’s a couple things I want to change but I’m pretty happy with it.

    Wow, from the video your V8 Wrangler seems exactly like mine! I’m running a 360 with a NV4500 trans, front/rear lockers and 8.8 Ford in back. My NV4500 shifts really slow, so yours seems a little smother, but I do I have that insane low granny gear. Love to see more video’s! I also get right at 11.5-12 MPG with 4.11 gears and 35's, but I think it can do better. Still working out the kinks in mine. About 4,000 trouble free miles so far.

      Bella Photographics yeah I forgot to mention I’m running 4.10s as well. And same here some little issues here and there but nothing crazy.

    Planning on doing a similar swap with my TJ in the future using an LA block 318. Just curious how your Dana 30 is holding up to the power? How much off-roading do you do? Don’t want to have to put money into new axles right off if I can just beef up my stock ones for now since the Jeep basically needs a frame off resto as it is.

    • @ktjeep8690
      @ktjeep8690  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why go with an LA block and its fine but I haven't done much off-roading with it since ive moved to Florida.

      K T Jeep Two main reasons. 1: I already have the engine and it runs. 2: I can’t stand electronics in my vehicles so a mechanical engine swap is perfect for me. I’ll be able to keep everything as clean and simple as possible, and my state has no engine swap laws. I will be upgrading it to EFI but the kit is self contained. I’ll be retaining most of the interior electrical, the multifunction switches for the lights and wipers and such, and climate controls, but I’ll be able to delete most everything under the hood. Given the reputation of Chrysler electrical, and my own personal experience having owned numerous Mopars, the less sensors and computers the better. Plus anything is an upgrade over the gutless, problematic 2.4.

      I’m thinking about doing a 5.3 or 6.0 ls swap in the next couple of years tho. Looking for a bit more power and better fuel economy if I go with the 5.3. Also much better transmission options if you’re planning on wheeling lots with big big tires.
