Only if you let them in. Just tell them no thanks and close the door. They are only salesmen, they have no right to entry or any powers at all. As soon as you interact with them in any way or let them in, they will use and twist anything you say to your disadvantage as they have commission to make. If they have a warrant they will be accompanied by a police officer, and then that's a different story. But to get to that point you need to have interacted with the goons.

Did you know that Colne is linked to the Titanic? I'm gutted that you didn't walk past the war memorial, (which was across the road from where you parked, 2 blocks down from Carlos restaurant that you can see while you're recording in the car) because there is a Titanic Memorial there and its really interesting. The Weatherspoon's is named "Wallace Hartley" which is the name of the Band Master on the Titanic - Wallace Hartley was born at 92 Greenfield Road, Colne, in 1878. By the age of 15, he was giving solo violin performances and, soon after, entertained passengers on transatlantic liners. In 1912, he became bandmaster on the ill-fated Titanic and continued to lead his band as the mighty ship sank beneath the waves. His body was recovered two weeks later and brought back to Colne. Around 40,000 people lined the route of the funeral procession on its way to Colne cemetery. A statue was erected soon after, which still stands today.
Had reason to go to Manchester today (19t Feb), on a tram at Piccadilly Gardens heading to the train station, look up and Mr Veitch himself was videoing down the side of the carriages behind, then watched as he shook someone's hand. Charlie, re Everything but the Girl. In the 90's they briefly moved from London to the next village to mine in Northamptonshire. So I wrote them a letter and sent them one of my demo's on cassette and posted it to them along with a letter asking if they could help place my music... Somehow posting it through their letterbox seemed a bit 'stalky' so I thought better. I heard nothing for months so forgot about it. Then out of the blue they sent me a postcard whilst on holiday with a review of my demo which I thought was classy! I still have it in a frame on my 'wall of fame' on my stairs. Really nice people and of course masters of their craft. Long may they reign. 👍🇬🇧🏆
