My appreciations and love to all the peoples involved in animal welfare issues. I became aware of the cruelty behind the animal factories few years back and quit all the products from these 'factories' as possible since. I noted that there are numerous animal welfare organizations all over the world, and they could not even slightly reduce the cruelty and torture these animals facing during their growing and slaughtering. That's the sad reality.
These organizations really have to re-evaluate what they are really up to. By trying to include all the relevant issues such as vegan diets, concern even about fish and shrimps (I don't undermine their suffer and pain), wild animal welfare, animals used in entertainment, pet animals etc, they are 'watering down' the real problem of cruelty of factory animals raised for food. ( I am sorry to say that most of these organizations become sort of the same corporations that involved in the animal industry).
I came to know about the battery cages in 2016. And in 2024, if I google now , still says 70% of the eggs come from hens 'tortured every second' of their lives in battery cages. We are living in a civilized world and most of our country people are good hearted persons. Then why we couldn't even eliminate this cruelty? I don't understand. There are some issues that should be prioritized in animal welfare like battery cages, gestation crates, bulk killing of unwanted one day old chickens, veal meat and may be some other cruelties which I don't know yet . Don't we should feel ashamed of it that it is happening in our country as well as other countries who follows us blindly in every way without thinking.
My friends, we can't eliminate violence in this world. Wild animals attack and eat each other. It is natural, and we can't do anything about it. Only thing we can do is to eliminate the cruelty and torture that we give them in the name of factory farming for increased profits. That is the only problem that exists here.
An ideal solution is to ban all the factory farming and only allow ranges to deal with animal foods with strict regulations. I know it won't fulfill the demand. So what can we do is to establish 'hunting islands'. Hunting islands means select a particular area of a forest (size may be less than 10 square miles) and establish a tall fence. Remove all the predators in this island and introduce all the species raised for food. Estalish rectangular and horizontal pathways for vehicles the professional hunters ( who would be recruited by the government). All the organic food wastes from households or businesses could be thrown in to this forest on a regular basis and hunting could be done on separate days. Establishing this type of islands anywhere possible, the demand for animal foods could be met.
In this way, these animals could enjoy their own lives. And of course, as in a natural environment they would be hunted by their predators (here our hunters will do that job, there is no other practical solution).
    Thanks
