This makes it hard to evaluate success of our work (no reporting of animal use stats, no animal ethics committee meeting minutes disclosed etc). Similarly, if we were to ask certain stakeholders about the impact of our work, it would likely be downplayed, as any progressive steps would prefer to be attributed to the current system of self-regulation and internal decision making rather than being as a result of an external advocacy group.
