Thank you for all the work youve done on the MVT - youve made a real difference!
Wow, that went from an ankle breaker to a little defect. Great work.
Thank you. I wish you could do Capital Crescent Trail next
The CCT could definitely use some love. Staying on the canal seems smoother these days.
never knew asphalt could be happy to see you.
🤣 Is that a root heave in the trail or is it just happy to see us?
@mountvernontrail - Amazing of just like cars speeding past construction workers on the highway... appeared that the bicyclists on the trail very little attempted to slow down in the "work zone" of your trail repair! Wow! 🍀🙀💥 😇
And don't forget to "BUMP" that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button.
Can we assume that is blacktop?
It is asphalt.
You need to get rid of the cause of the bump.....
We get a lot of reply guys with suggestions on how to do things without first asking about the constraints that cause us to do a repair a certain way.
@@mountvernontrail What causes the bumps? Is it just root growth?
@@MoMoCow It's tree root growth combined with a bunch of other factors like how close the tree is to the trail, whether the tree is a type that tends to have shallower roots, how old the tree is and how a particular part of the trail was constructed. Shaving the bumps is a fix on the shorter end of the durability spectrum for a fix, but root pruning isn't feasible for a lot of the trees in the park.
