Hello, does the white plastic rawl plug come in different sizes? Where can I get a packet that includes both the plug and the screw so they fit nicely? I would only need two, will I be able to buy just two from a hardware store?
Thanks, thats quite useful. Ikea instructions are not as good as your demonstations. I did not like that IKEA did not include those basic 2 screws required to fix tha metal rod on the wall. You have done a good job of explaining it so clearly.
Glad this helped. Yes, it is weird that they don't even give those 2 screws required to fix this board. Such items should have every tool to assemble it easily.
Thanks for this easy to follow demonstration! Even though there’s only a few steps, it was still necessary for me to watch this. Just got my pegboard yesterday and now I can go install it with confidence! 😊
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I could not figure out how to install this, the IKEA manual is garbage! You saved the day, I appreciate you, and will continue to use your videos!❤
Had to watch this to find out why I couldn't screw it in. Because Ikea couldn't be bothered to include TWO screws or add into the instructions that you need them. I am so stressed trying to put this thing up. But thank you for the actual good guide.
Thanks for the simple steps to install. The manual that comes with this board is pretty confusing or not useful to me. I have one doubt, its possible to install in horizontal way instead of vertical shown in this video?
I'm trying to fit this board thankyou for sharing this video. Can yiu tell me the 2 screws you used were flat head type? The instructions I have on mine said I should use dome head type screw, does it matter which type?
Thanks. I used a 2inch screw to hang the rail on to the wall. The screw length depends on the type of surface that you are putting this on. But in general, a 2inch screw would do fine.
3-4 inch regular star shaped screws and plastic plugs of the same length should be good. A little oversized screws will cause no harm. Ikea provides this screws box that has almost all the necessary screws & anchors needed for regular ikea stuff. Do purchase this - www.ikea.com/in/en/p/fixa-260-piece-screw-and-plug-set-20169248
Well, if you have a glossy wall then you can use double sided tape as well. But if you mount it that way you'll have to ensure that you do not put too much weight on it.
@@TheGlovesMan Oh yeah, when installing the wall mount, I realised that the hole for the screw that is going into the wall is quite long, which part of the hole do I put the screw through?
Thanks for the video! 🤗 Could you tell me what size there is between one hole and the other? What size should I buy the hooks if I can't get the ones from IKEA? 1 1/8? 1 1/4? Thanks again
Thank you for the appreciation. I am not sure of the exact size of the hooks, but these are what you need to get - www.ikea.com/in/en/p/skadis-hook-white-30321617/ The name is skadis hook white.
thanks for this, I'm a woman and I need to be independent cos my bf is busy and I don't like how he put things on my wallcos sometimes they're slant lol.
Hi, the screws get screwed into the metallic frame that I had installed prior to mounting the peg board. The top 2 screws go into that frame and the bottom 2 are just for support and keeping the pegboard at the same level as the top part. Hope this helps.
I am not sure of the numbering thing. But these are screws that are 2 inch in length. If you intend to keep heavy stuff on this, then you should go for 4 inch screws.
Well, check the video from 5:16 onwards. You basically need to use the screws provided in the pack to tighten the pegboard on the bracket. The screws go in through the holes on the pegboard into the holes of the bracket. But the first step would be to mount the bracket on the wall. Hope this helps.
Hi Muhammed, 2 or 3 inch screws are fine. It will hold the weight properly. I don't remember what size is mentioned by IKEA on their user manual sheet.
They are 2 inch screws. Depending on the weight that you are adding to this pegboard, you can either go for 2 or 3 inch screws. 3 inch ones can hold more weight.

So the white ikea screw will actually screw onto the screw that was put inside the wall?
@@razamughal9095 Yes, you can buy the screw and plug from any hardware store. Do not get too long screws as that's not really required.
What’s the size of the screw
This video helped me confirm that the pegboard didn't come with the necessary installation supplies - which is very frustrating! Thank you though.
Yes, they should provide the basics. It's madness to go out to just get screws.
Why can't they just give it as a set
since IKEA is for the beginner who doesn't necessarily keep a stash of screws, I agree it should have included the 2 needed.

Gift him a level meter so that he does not put things slanted :)
Thanks for this video. very helpful. One question, what kind of screws do i use ? Those ikea idiots didnt include any screws
I've got the screws set from Ikea itself. They sell it separately.
Out of that box, you can use the 2inch or 3 inch screws.
Hi. When you put the pegboard to the wall what are you screwing the screws into please?
Hi, the screws get screwed into the metallic frame that I had installed prior to mounting the peg board.
The top 2 screws go into that frame and the bottom 2 are just for support and keeping the pegboard at the same level as the top part.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for this!
My pleasure!
Really appreciate it men 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Any time
are the things that are used to tighten the screws included? or did you buy them?
I have purchased that separately. It's a IKEA toolkit box.
So the bottom just kind of hang and doesn’t screw into the wall then?
Yes, that's right. It's just to balance the pegboard against the wall.
Thank you for the fast reply, kinda wish it came with 2 wall brackets but this will do thanks.
Is it necessary to mount this into a wall stud?
Yes Catherine, it is necessary.
Thanks so much!!!
You're welcome!
sorry where can i find the matallic bracket? cuz ive been searchin it for a few weeks already but havent found it yet
It comes with the package itself. Did you not get it? Please reach out to IKEA support in that case.
Thanks mate 🤝
No problem 👍
what drill bit size did you use to drill on the wall?
I have used a 5mm drill bit to drill on the wall. The screw that I have used later on is 2inch long.
How much weight can this hold?? Planning to hang my hair dryer along with tooth brush and face wash.
Hi Suraj, it will take that weight easily. It's pretty solid built.
helpful thx mate
No problem 👍
Hello, can we mount the peg board side ways?? Please confirm
I kind of didn't understand your question.
Yes. You can set it up in any direction you want
Screw size for wall mounting sir?
2-3 inches screw size is fine.
Thank you thank you 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Thanks
Is the bottom of the pegboard supposed to touch the wall? Mine won’t stay on the wall
Yes, check the part where I place the spacers. The spacers are what are supposed to touch the wall.
Otherwise, it won't look properly aligned.
Thank you so much :))
You're welcome!
THANK YOU!
No problem. Glad this video was helpful.

Glad this was helpful. The manual provided gets confusing at times.
How did you attach the pegboard to the bracket part ...Did not understand that part
Well, check the video from 5:16 onwards. You basically need to use the screws provided in the pack to tighten the pegboard on the bracket. The screws go in through the holes on the pegboard into the holes of the bracket.
But the first step would be to mount the bracket on the wall. Hope this helps.
do you not need to find studs for this?
Sorry, what are studs?
thanks!
Welcome!
Which drill bits size did you use?
2 Inch screws.
What size are the screws you used please
Hi Muhammed, 2 or 3 inch screws are fine. It will hold the weight properly.

Where did u put the pin at last
Can you let me know the exact timestamp about which you want info?
What size screw please
If you're going to put too much weight on it, go for 3 inch screws. Otherwise, 2 inch screws should be good.
Thx

Ugh, The scres didn't come with the board?! That sucks...
They didn't. They should actually provide the screws as well.
Not everyone would have a hardware kit with screws and stuff at home.
Read the instructions pls
Sorry, I didn't understand what you meant to say. Could you please re-phrase.
I've never seen such terrible instructions. Man ikea is trash. Doesn't even come with everything you need
You mean my instructions or the instructions that come with the IKEA product?
The ikea instructions were more useful than this
Ohh okay.
Then why did you search for this video? For fun?
sorry where can i find the matallic bracket? cuz ive been searchin it for a few weeks already but havent found it yet
The metallic bracket comes with the peg board itself. If you haven't received it, please reach out to IKEA.
