Just wanted to say, I've had an eating disorder my entire life. It takes me hours to eat a normal plate of food and many times at restaurants, because I'm with other people, most of the food is still uneaten when everyone I'm with is done, the server always asks me if something was wrong with the food. It's embarrassing and I've recently been watching these food challenge videos and have been practicing at home to eat faster. Thanks for the inspiration.
I got an eating disorder in which I can't eat everything in front of me. I was drugged once and it makes me Leary of food I didn't prepare myself. Is yours similar? I thought I was the only one like this.
When servers ask this you can just say ''No it's fine, I just need more time'. If the food is actually good ofc ;)
I always make the excuse that I just got over a stomach bug and that I thought I was ready to take on solid foods again but I guess I need to take it slow.. then I request containers to take my food home. I don’t have an eating disorder but rather I had a routine hernia repair and I’ve never been the same since. Eating is painful, I have to take a 30 mg tab of morphine before I eat. The surgeon had a drinking problem, he dropped his scalpel inside my body not once but 4 times according to witnesses and he nicked my intestines in several places. It doesn’t sound bad when you hear the word “nick” as if it were a shaving mishap, dab it with a little toilet tissue and you’re good to go. LoL In actuality, it’s quite serious.. but who wants to explain all that to a concerned food server over whether my meal was expectable? Yes, I get embarrassed sometimes too but it is what it is. I wish I could turn back the clock and have everything be okay again. I’m so tired of the pain but when I wake every morning I have to remind myself that there’s always someone out there who has it worse. As far as eating disorders? To anyone who has read my post this far.. It’s one of the toughest conditions to cure, if you haven’t sought help then please do so. Life is too short to live with such demons, don’t allow an eating disorder steal your happiness. Get help now.. be strong, you can do this! 😊🌻
I truly wish I could eat slower. You do not have a disorder in my eyes. Eating quickly is very unhealthy.
Looking at your picture I would not have expected an slow/less eating disorder.. you seem chubby

Loved the videos, both of them! This might sound weird but I would have opened my potato first to let it cool off while I was eating the steak. Also would have dipped my potato and roll in the steak juice to help it go down easier. Y'all did an amazing job

I completed the challenge November 1981 when I was 17 years old, finished the 72 oz. steak in 52 minutes. Steak came out raw at first. The waitress asked if I wanted to reheat the steak and I said yes, bad mistake to reheat the steak, reheating the steak dried out the steak and it was overcooked after reheating the steak. If you didn't finish the challenge in a hour the steak cost $26.10 in 1981.
Joel is a large man, 511 lbs Weight and 180" in height, the camera does distort some things😂
