BTS are not just pop they do rap, hip-hop, R&B,, ballads and they write and produce thier own music as well. I am 53 and grew up on metal and BTS is my favorite group. No two songs are the same once you dive down the rabbit hole. If you like more rock listen to thier song Dionysus it's great and better live. There most recent Run BTS song as well but I recommend the live performance. If you want to know more of each member introduction to BTS 2022 by Taylor is the most up to date.

Agreed, BTS rarely do songs that sound the same, but this is one if not the most pop (disco pop as Hobie would say). One of the few they didn't write a lot of themselves (because it is the first one they did in all English)
BTS have nearly 200 songs to pick from so they have a lot to pick from but Run BTS is one of the more rounded (dance, rap, a bit of rock) mic drop or fire are also a good starting point to jump in.
I am mid 40's, grew up on metal but I love BTS. in fact my 2 favour groups of all time are Nirvana and BTS.

They really aren't over characterized with their personalities like typical English speaking groups. They have been together so long and lived together for 10 years and are like a big group of brothers.

  • @outrolars

17:00 funny how you said "too cool for school", their debut album in 2013 was actually called '2 cool 4 skool'. they don't have specific personality that they're leaning into but they do have before when they debuted, but they eventually move past that concept and are just simply themselves today (very kind and are all crackheads) and that's one of the things why we love them so much.
ps. thanks for the reaction! i won't recommend anymore as I know others have recommended tons of songs/videos already. you nice, keep going :)))

The funniest thing about the "assigned role" is that they were already joking about it and being vocal from the start. For example Jimin saying that was "his thing" after anyone was being cute and repeating the action or JK complaining he wanted to workout but he wasn't supposed to because he was "the baby" of the team 😂

BTS wrote this song during the pandemic to help people feel good. Its more poppy than their usual stuff. Their music have deep meanings to them. Some of their song that sounds happy but if you read the lyrics, its actually a very sad song. They write songs that are meaningful and help others cope with what they are going through. BTS was created to overcome social injustice, bullying, self help etc. If you dive into more about them, you'll won't regret it!! Try watching their BLACK SWAN, DOPE, ON, SAVE ME etc. Their live perfomances are unbeatable. Watch FESTA, latest BUSAN concert or any of their MAMA 2018, 2019 or 2020 performances. You can watch their Scammy's performance to.

    • @NanciBK
      @NanciBK 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Technically they did not write it, but they changed a lot of things to make it theirs. The songwriters were being hounded for another "Dynamite level hit" after this literally exploded and they essentially said:
Hey, listen, we just gave them a skeleton of a song and they did what BTS does and made it into what it is. If you want another hit like this one, ask them for it.

Don't be fooled in thinking they're a manufactured pop group. One thing their label has required of them from the beginning is creative freedom and whatever song or style of music they come out with it has to be their own message. This is 1 of their handful of actual pop songs. They have well over 300+ song's as well as solo work & and in every genre. They've been around since 2013

I'm 53 year old ARMY from NZ (The fandom is cross generational, so my age group is normal). Oh God... there are no bad boys in BTS. That's the Western Formula for "Boy Bands" created by the Americans and the British Music Industry. And I understand why you went there. Newbies (including me) always go there. BTS are well trained, disciplined, hardworking professionals. If you want to put them in a category then you would be closer by comparing them to The Beatles. And that's been a comparison that's been made a lot over the years. Dynamite is one of 3 songs that are done entirely in English. Not one of the songs I would have recommended for you to start with. And I don't think that the English songs are the best representation of who they are. I would suggest MIC DROP or ON, KINETIC MANIFESTO, BLACK SWAN, and OUTRO TEAR live at Wembley, just to get you started. The set dressing is simply for the video's aesthetics and not based on the members personalities. It's a homage to the 70's, 80's and 90's with a special nod to MJ. It took me a long time to be friends with Dynamite. I'm cool with it now but I, by far, prefer their Korean/English fusion music. I lean more toward their Hip Hop, R&B and Rap songs. I'm not a "poppy" type of person. And I think that a lot of people think that K-Pop is UBER POP aaaaand some of it is. BUT there are some proper bangers out there and people are missing out. Plus BTS are more based on their music and not the K-Pop formula. Which is why they are such an anomoly in the K-Pop industry. But it's great that you're exploring K-Pop and Polyphia (yep, I've seen you before lol). A really good video to watch is A Guide To BTS: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor. It's really well put together and informative as well as being entertaining. And it may seem like a bit of long guide, but it's not. ARMY's love for BTS doesn't mind long docos, PLUS we've all seen it a hundred times because we love watching people react to BTS.

Rap line is hell good! And the vocalists are amazing!
By the way, it's not the 3 more pop songs all in english that represent their almost 10 yrs non stop work. You need to checkout their korean and mixed Kor and Eng songs to have an idea. 850 + awards were given to them for something. 😊 They sing all genres. Taylor documentary about BTS is a must watch too. And JHope Chicago Lollapalooza and BTS Busan concerts are masterpices. If you give them a chance you will regret to say they are not for you 😆😆
If you want, tell me to give you a list. You will be really surprised. Their music is far different from western music. 😉💜

51 year old ARMY here, have been since 2017. My lifetime musical tastes are rooted in rock and metal. I truly enjoyed your reaction and perspective, thank you for really listening to the guys! BTS has an expansive catalog that covers multiple genres. Their depth is unmatched. Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance are their full English songs that were released throughout the pandemic to bring comfort and joy to the world. The rest of their discography is where it's at, even though those 3 songs are amazing, their Korean and Japanese tracks just hit harder as they encompass their life stories. They're heavily involved in writing, composing and producing their own music with hundreds of credits among them. Some are also credited for writing and producing for other artists. Nearly 10 years since their debut, over 700 awards, and they're still the most humble people despite being the most popular act on Earth. BTS, their management, and all staff are the utmost professionals and bring attention to detail in all facets. They set the standard. Looking forward to your BTS journey!

BTS is a South Korean boy band consisting of three rappers and four vocalists. And all seven of them are excellent dancers.
They do a wide variety of music, but basically they are rooted in hip-hop.
All seven members are participating in making their songs by writing, composing, and producing them.
BTS started with a small company that almost went bankrupt, so they have been very looked down and hated by Korean broadcasting stations and other K-pop fandom. So they have struggled from the beginning to prove themselves.
If you like rock, I highly recommend Fake Love. And then...I would like to recommend....
Mic Drop (It's one of their billion-view music video.)
    Blood sweat & tears
    FIRE
    On kinetic manifesto film
    Black Swan
    Save me→I'm fine
    Daechwita(Agust D 대취타, Suga's solo)
These are pretty different from Butter or permission to dance or Dynamite.(Only these three songs are fully English. These three songs have been written in English since the Pandemic to give energy to people around the world.)
And, all of their music videos provide English subtitles. :)
Their lyrics are very deep and beautiful.

Or, I think it would be good to follow a story line.
DNA: Joy of fateful love → Fake Love: Realizing that love was a lie → IDOL, The Truth Untold, Epiphany, Answer Love Myself: To love other people completely, you should love yourself first.
These are included in Love Yourself Trilogy.
The lyrics of BTS' songs are based on their own experiences, and their albums are organic because they contain their growth narrative.
It will also be fun to listen to their albums in order and analyze them. :)
They make a wide variety of genres of music like Hip-hop, Ballad, R&B, pop, EDM, etc. I'm sure there're quite a few of their 300 songs that suit your taste. :)
Oh, plz don't forget their live performances. :)
Personally, one of my favorite Dynamite live performance is BTS-IHEART RADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL 2020 FULL HD!
    th-cam.com/video/k0VMFosBRXU/w-d-xo.html
The direction and transition from Dynamite to Make It Right, Spring Day, and Boy With Luv are so touching and great. :)
2020 MMA Black swan Perf.+ On + Life Goes On+ Dynamite
    th-cam.com/video/PtaP4UkZKyc/w-d-xo.html
Suga couldn't participate in the performance due to rehabilitation after his shoulder surgery, but this is one of the masterpieces.
    Maybe you can try this.
[2021 FESTA] BTS (방탄소년단) BTS ROOM LIVE
    th-cam.com/video/RRhjdYsNwAk/w-d-xo.html
It's a medley performance where you can taste the diversity of their music in 10 minutes. They are Korean songs, but English subtitles are provided, so you don't need to worry. :)
They don't dance in this performance, but you can see them having so much fun. :)

I liked your reaction, you went in open minded and had interesting remarks. BTS don't have "characters", and there is no bad boy. They share A LOT of behind the scenes so ARMY (name of the fan base) knows their personality quite well (vlogs, practice, filming the mvs, ...). BTS began as a hip hop group so they were going for some kind of "tough" image their first year or so. They have done many music genres (hip hop rnb funk pop edm trap...) They all love music and performing, that's what kept them going even through hard times and while being 7 very different individuals. They debuted in 2013 aged 20 to 15 and lived together before that while training and preparing their album. They lived together until pretty recently and themselves say they are a family. To have an idea of their scope, maybe Mic Drop (steve aoki remix has an MV) + Fake Love MV. Or Make it Right + Persona + Dionysus(live perf or lyrics video). BTS are awesome live performers so concerts are my absolute favorite part. Any song you love on an album will be 100 times better live.

Loved what you said about “giving everything a chance”, “liking what you like” and “don’t judge other people for the things that make them happy”. If you dive into the BTS rabbit hole, you’ll be amazed at the depth of their lyricism and the incredible diversity in their music. Also, they don’t follow the stereotypical “boy band” personality types. They are 100% authentic! I’m a 56 year old grandmother from the USA and they are so important to me. There’s a saying in the fandom, called ARMY, that you don’t find BTS, BTS finds you when you need them the most. I can personally tell you that it was true for me. These 7 young men from Korea have had a huge impact on my life. You should watch “A Guide to BTS members, The Bangtan 7” by Taylor (that’s the name of her channel). They share their true personalities with their fans, they have no characters. In fact part of his succes and his great bond with his fandom is because they share his life, his day to day, his thoughts, his worries, in addition to his music with us since 9 years ago. Very sincerely and transparently. ARMY knows all about these guys, the mutual feeling is as family. There is appreciation, respect, love and consideration between them and their fans. That's why we are so protective, and so active, We want to give them everything, every achievement they want, every prize that exists, just because we want to see them happy.
The classic cliché is the new reactors going first to their more commercial and English songs, which are only 3 and do not reflect who they really are as artists. BTS has over 300 songs. I would start with their most iconic songs, like Fire, Dope, Fake Love, Black Swan, Run BTS, Not Today...
I'm 43, metal head, mom, and I love every single song from this boys.

Thanks so much for your reaction, which I found fair and open minded which can sometimes be unusual for new reactors. Don't make the mistake of pigeon holing them in any way, they are very diverse and amazing performers but in real life can be real chaotic and funny. Their history, which has been a hard road for them, made them into a genuine brotherhood and they really love and care for each other. Nothing hinky, just real brothers who have been through hell together and made it, through their determination and damn hard work. It's a real tale of the underdog making it big. It's their personalities that make you fall in love with them, and of course the rest is the icing on the cake! As a 54 yr old A.R.M.Y. (fandom name) I can say I'm very proud of them and love them to bits. If you dive further it won't take you long either, I've seen this so many times from so many, and from rockers too! Will drop some advice and links below so apologies if this turns into a dissertation!! Keeping it all in one place to make your life easier, at least that's my excuse! 😉
Who are BTS? Please do watch them all as they will give you a different perspective of BTS and their history, one isn't enough to get the full picture.

Taylor Nakamoto’s Bangtan 7 (2022): th-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/w-d-xo.html - I HIGHLY recommend this latest one, however I would watch the others first and leave this one for last.
The Rise of Bangtan series of videos (fan made but excellent behind the scenes from pre-debut and ongoing, including history/documentaries re K-Pop and their own vlogs etc. They give an excellent insight into their personalities and really show you their genuineness and authenticity as they speak honestly about what their thoughts/experiences are and what is going on) - it’s now at Ch 21 and also has bonus content and deleted scenes videos so advise you to start these soon if interested. th-cam.com/users/TheRiseOfBangtanOfficial
These will give you an idea of who they are and why ARMY (Adorable Representative MC for Youth) love these young men so much! Also Army have no problem with length of videos, we love to follow along and watch your journey. Army will step in to help as long as respect and genuineness is shown. There will always be those that are not genuine Army and some antis will pretend to be to cause division and strife in the comments. Just ignore them, Army are a bunch of lovable encouraging people when they sense that someone really wants to get to know our boys. With ages ranging adolescents (even babies!) to mid 80's from all walks of life and backgrounds you are in good hands!
CC's are a must for their Korean songs to understand the lyrics in English. However the best lyric translations can be found at Doolsetbangtan: doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/
A great site for good quality lives with Eng subs (no copyright issues): Enjoy BTS More: th-cam.com/users/EnjoyBTSmorevideos
Also for an explanation of their MV's DKDKTV & Bookish Theory are good sources. We lose a lot in not being able to understand Korean culture, and these do a great job of explaining the real message behind the lyrics which are always deep. So worth doing an explanation video to their songs automatically alongside the MV.
Always watch the MV's to the end! It might be a good idea to ask Army for links for the best performances..... some are not as good as others.
They also have various versions of their MV's, from the official MV to remixes (B-sides done for Army) and live performances. Dance videos for their choreography can be found at Bangtantv (their own channel) and behind the scenes videos. Just depends how far you want to go, there is a lot. The MV's have a storyline attached but that is better saved for a time when you know the members more.
To avoid any copyright strikes just show the Big Hit/Hybe logo at the beginning of all their MV's.
NOTE: THE WORD NEGAE MEANS YOU/ME/I - not the word you think! Some misunderstand so best to get this out the way! Also Koreans or Asians in general are not afraid to show their emotions, so crying/hugging/being close is a cultural thing, which to Western eyes can seem a bit touchy feely or give wrong connotations.
Songs: TAKE NOTHING AT FACE VALUE! 😄
ROOM LIVE (FESTA 2021): th-cam.com/video/RRhjdYsNwAk/w-d-xo.html - an annual celebration with Army's, has a medley of their songs from 2013-2020.

Thank you for your reaction ! BTS members have indeed each their own personality but it becomes more obvious while watching them off stage (behind the scenes and such). They have a leader (blue hair in this mv) who is more of a mentor than a dictator if I may say. He's smart, poet, lyricist and fluent in English 148 IQ. The other 6 bring different facets of human personalities to complete the work, they each have a role in the team and in the music making process. They are artists !! Composers, musicians, producers, writers, dancers they can do it all. i really advise you to watch Taylor Nakamoto's documentary about them th-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/w-d-xo.html it is updated and quite complete. Thank you again.

They have 6 or 7 MVs with 1B+ views. They were the top selling artists in the world in 2020 and 2021. Guinness World Records and other awards out the kazoo. Their concerts are the best I've ever been to (I'm 60+ and have seen lots of concerts).
Their music is the attraction for most of us. We buy their music on pre-order by the millions, because we know it's going to be good. They don't disappoint.

As everyone says, look at the Taylor video Intro to the 7 Members of BTS.
BTS is far from the typical "boy band" - so much more. I'd venture to say that, while they came from K-pop, they are no longer K-pop - they are their own thing. They are known for their songwriting (not Dynamite) and direct involvement in all aspects of the production of their music. From very edgy/hard core rap to ballads, and extraordinary dancing. Fans range from teens to older fans like me - 68 yo ARMY here. Their real personalities are exceptional, and their messages (since 2013) of empowerment/self love/social criticism and real respect/love for their fan base, they are really extraordinary. I love rock, metal, rap, you name it - but BTS has my heart!
Enjoyed your reaction! You did a lot of interesting analysis of the song/video/performance. BTS has over 350 songs from all sorts of genres - Dynamite is a fun pop song (that they put out during the pandemic so fans could have something hopeful/fun) but is only representative of a very small part of their work. Will be interested to see where your BTS journey takes you next!

Really great reaction. Your specific and detailed analysis makes me think you will really enjoy getting to know BTS. Their art is always incredibly layered with really awesome things going on in the music production, lyrics, choreo, and videos. Always lots of easter eggs, motifs, and everything done with purpose. They are not just performers but artists who write, produce, compose, and are in demand to collab with other artists in the east and west. The lyrics that they write are incredibly deep, poetic, and honest. Each of them has thriving solo careers in addition to their work as a group. 💜
Also I agree with the Taylor guide recommendations but I also recommend their Tiny Desk Concert and FESTA Room Live. Both have captions for non-English lyrics. They are incredible live performers (I’ve had the honor of seeing them live twice and it was amazing).
Trying to analyze them through the lens of boy bands or kpop will just lead you astray. BTS are just seven talented humans who work hard and love music. No fake personas or characters but instead radical authenticity and transparency. They are very inspiring with how much they reveal about themselves, their struggles and hardships, their doubts and worries, etc. They care about the world and making it a better place through music and advocacy.

their story to put very shortly is that they are the definition of underdogs, they worked their butts off as trainees for a small company with barely any money in 2010-2012 to debut in 2013 and start working even harder, it took years until they started making any reasonable money, their future as a group was still uncertain even in 2015, then they finally started doing better domestically, in 2017 they were invited to bbmas and won an award there, starting with that western world started paying more attention, but they have had a lot of fans from all over the world since the very start, now they have written hundreds of incredible songs, broken so many records (most billboard hot 100 #1s in 2020s), won countless of awards (artist of the year at amas last year, 5x grammy nominated), and through all of this they have been the nicest most sincere people who love music and performance, very kind, very funny, bts have worked hard to get where they are right now, they are way beyond the k-pop label (me and many others actually never use that label for them) their story is very fascinating, like i could talk about them, their work and their history endlessly, and considering they will celebrate 10th anniversary next year i am actually a very new fan, i found them in august 2020 through dynamite, never been a fan of any artist before but these guys are something different, something special, they have fans from all ages, all countries etc, very diverse fanbase

There's nothing I can add that hasn't been said but I will reinforce the notion that this group is different. As a 50 something year old woman from the USA, I love them as a band and as humans. One of the most endearing things about them is how they truly love each other and LOVE THIER FANS. There has never been a group that engages so directly with their fans in the way BTS does. They are so unique individually and have often said they would have never met if not for signing with Big Hit, but they compliment each other so perfectly. They give me hope for the future. If you want edge, BTS can give you that. Be careful though.... it's very easy to fall down the rabbit hole. :-) I really appreciate how you broke this song down and you seem to really know what you're talking about. That said, I would never recommend Dynamite to someone trying to learn about BTS as a first go. It's a GREAT song and I love it, but they are so much more than this song, if that makes sense. It just tends to reinforce the stereotype of KPop in my opinion. My recommendation is Mic Drop - Steve Aoki remix... and the live version is incredible as it has all the dance breaks! That song just completely caught me off guard and made me so curious I had to learn more. I really liked your reaction and look forward to checking out more of your stuff. Thanks!

He wants edge? Who's going to tell him? Thank you for being so respectful in your reaction. You don't have to love all their music. But please don't judge them on this song or Butter. BTS were supposed to leave for the military after their Map of the Soul:7 album, but then Covid hit and they didn't want to leave their fans during such a difficult time. Thus, Dynamite and then Butter, both of which were happy and fun and huge. Try some of their own Korean songs and read the lyrics. You will see why they are the biggest band in the world.

True but hey let’s not say BTS didn’t wanted to leave for their military service BTS were very hurt by korean media and Korean gp for this same reason. BTS had scheduled their military service since 2019 but the government was the one that delayed their enlistment in fact the boys had enough of the government toying with them and we’re going to enlist this summer but the government didn’t allowed them since they needed BTS to promote busan for the expo.

Besides their artistic merit which is huge, there is also the personalities of these seven guys. One or two songs can hook you. What keeps you forever is that these men are worthy friends. After listening to 20 or 25 songs, and seeing some behind-scenes or other semi-candid footage, friends is what they feel like.
Though this music video's setting may seem familiar and personal, remember it was created by BigHit video production staff, not by the guys themselves. These are 7 personas being shown to you, the 7 real men are mostly hidden behind the personas.
As for categorizing them, I recommend you wait until you have at least six months engagement with their work. One of the reasons they can hold their massive audience is they are rich and unpredictable in their natures.
I love the precision of your vocabulary.
This is not typical BTS. Except for the high production value. It's one of a trio of all English lyrics songs written during lockdown with the goal of breaking the xenophobia of the American music industry, and getting recognition from the Grammys. BTS members themselves had very little direct input into the melody or lyrics of the three songs. This is highly unusual for these seven writers and producers.
I am waiting with a lot of happy anticipation to see how you experience other BTS work.
Who's the bad boy? All of them at times. Scrub like 50% of what you think you know about how boy hands are supposed to be. BTS is different. Arggghhh, they are all true music fans and they all love classic rock. They're deeper than you think! And that's why they have so many fans!! They are genuine, not a constituted band. I hope you keep that in mind next time you do a BTS reaction.
The guy who you said is cute has a Taekwondo black belt and can be in your face in a gentle and clever way. He's also funny as hell. Don't read the music video personas as the men. The guy who you said looked slick is considered the most down-to-eaeth, and is also very dreamy and creative. Etc. Please don't try to force them into a pre-made Western music industry box.
Final note. They look good and so on because they are incredibly fit. Their dance work makes them athletes. So many people overlook that aspect of who they are. Fit is pretty.
They will exceed your expectations and they will break any box you try to push them into.
If you want to see one example of the truth of what I'm saying, watch their Run BTS dance practice, released about 10 days ago.

Fellow Aussie here, Dynamite was my intro into BTS back in 2020. They are amazing and you will definitely find songs that will become firm favs. Having looked through the comments you have pretty much gotten all the info but I would say Mic Drop with Steve Aoki is a good starting point for many. Even if you go back to No More Dream their debut song they are incredible. They have the passion and determination to succeed which is how they have gotten so far and so popular whilst staying down to earth, nice guys. Well worth falling into the rabbit hole.

  • @SY-fp6ng
    @SY-fp6ng ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Fyi :) ---
Dynamite doesn't reflect core BTS in many ways, fyi. (it does show their fun side)
eg, being pioneers in kpop in discussing mental health issues and social commentary. They cover many genres. They write and produce and have authentic voice/stamp in their music, but Dynamite was not written by them. Dynamite is light bc was written to cheer people up during pandemic. BTS has many edgy songs and edgy is more their core, I'd say. Kpop industry covers more than one genre, but people naturally think it means pop music.
A lot of the "template" (groups historically having distinct roles) you referred to in your discussion doesn't apply to BTS.
Also when you referred to BTS (and Blackpink) checking all the boxes, I might offer that hundreds of kpop groups debut every year, where they all practice 12 hours a day and have highly produced music videos with the clothes, details all covered. But there's only One BTS.

  • @Maraaha55
    @Maraaha55 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Thank you for your reaction to this song, and for "getting" the integrated nature of Kpop. "Suga, asked about whether Kpop would be an accurate definition of BTS' genre, said
‘I’m a little bit wary of that but I think rather than approach Kpop as a genre, a better approach would be “integrated content”.’ …
‘Kpop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements I think sort of amalgamate together in a visual and auditory content package, that I think sets it apart from other music or maybe other genres so again, as I said, rather than approach Kpop as it’s own genre I think approaching it as this integration of different content would be better.’ " Metro 28 10 2919
Having said that, Dynamite is far from typical BTS' writing (was actually written by two English people, not BTS). The English songs are far from my favourites, and my heart sank when I first heard each of them. They were made simply to cheer people up during the pandemic, and they work: now I have enormous respect and love for them.
BUT. Oh you have a lot to enjoy yet, and learn!
BTS' songs (apart from these) are so much edge that they will cut you if you are not careful. Even the most poppy songs have a deeper meaning - I hated Anpanman and Gogo so much at first, then I looked into the meaning of them and ... my bones melted, and turned to fire. As well as being musically diverse and sophisticated, their songs address subjects which are taboo in Korea such as mental health, social issues and expectations and self harm etc.
They use wordplay and cultural references lavishly (and you NEED to look at translated lyrics to fully appreciate - www.doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com gives a list of all their music (including free solo mixtapes on soundcloud), links to the music itself plus translations with wordplay and brief cultural notes. Many of the "lyric videos" are poor translations. Wordplay often spans Korean and English puns, which is stunningly clever ... It's just a little effort, but pays off so much!
I challenge you to name a genre they have not produced. Suga even realised he had made a Trot song (Trot being a particular kind of Korean music, I suppose a kind of old-fashioned pop)
They draw on science, biology, literature and psychology, among other subjects for their songs and all of them are involved in writing and producing all of their albums. They are all associate members of the Korean Music Copyright Association, and Suga, RM and J-Hope are now full members. They have a songlist that numbers more than 300. Plus well over 700 music awards.
They are all very individual people, but they are just themselves. They were indeed "made" but selected as trainees, trained with others for up to 3 years while others dropped out. But none of them were picked to be a "type" - It was their talent and potential that drew the eye, but after that their individual personality and emotional skills to deal with stresses and pressures. Taylor's video The Bangtan 7 is the most up to date introduction and I recommend you look at that.
As to look at ... if you want edge, start at the beginning. Bangtan Sonyondan means Bulletproof Boyscouts, since they wanted to stand between young people and the criticisms, demands and societal expectations which rain down on them like bullets. Their first song, No More Dream - very 90s hip hop vibe, but says to the kids, don't sleepwalk through life studying hard ALL the time, find your dream and fight for it. In Korea's highly structured and conformist society that message was incredibly hard. The music has changed since then and appears softer sometimes, but behind that the message it is just as challenging as ever.
I'm sorry for this incredibly long comment but let me ad yet another thought. I really suggest you look a bit more at the broader context of Kpop and its development in the early years. It's hard for us to realise how different Korea's culture and history are - democracy was only introduced in 1988 following the end of the military dictatorship. That left one particular legacy for music, but that was changed due to one band - DKDKTV's excellent video looks at this moment ... th-cam.com/video/H2tIg94b4g4/w-d-xo.html

I grew up on Rock and Alternative Rock music and I 💜 BTS! Everyone has given great suggestions. I personally love Black Swan, Run, On, Mic Drop, Lie, etc.... There are too many to count! But if you want "hard," J-Hope's song "More" you'll love. When I heard it, it reminded me of early 2000's limp bizkit (somewhat). Suga aka Agust D "Daechwita" is a song I listen to it daily. Warning, it's a long rabbit hole, but a great journey along the way.
Taylor's intro is good. I like "The Most Beautiful Life Goes On" by The Rice Squad. It focuses on how the band was formed and it's narrated. XCeleste's ones on BTS, Army (fan group), and their hardships are 3 excellent videos as well.

Thank you for this reaction, and your honesty about how people have this ingrained feeling that they're not "allowed" to like something poppy if their usual MO is stuff that's heavier, or edgier, or more indie, or less produced, or this or that or the other thing. I'm an aging punk/hard rock mom, and it took me years to give BTS a chance. It literally took me three days to dub myself ARMY, and it was after discovering their edgier side that I really fell for them. I agree with whoever suggested "Dionysus," but would also suggest "Interlude: Shadow," "Fake Love" (which screams 2000's emo, I love it), "Black Swan," and "Blood, Sweat, and Tears." Every single song is different and draws inspiration from all genres of music, and you're constantly discovering something new from them. Haha, I actually have an "Angsty Emo BTS" playlist on Spotify if you'd like me to share it with you, just hit me up 😉 I look forward to more reactions from you!

OH, and I think another comment may have brought this up, but their "shtick" at the beginning was really to be more of an anti-authoritarian voice for youth (their earlier song "N.O." demonstrates this, the video is super dystopian). It's gone well beyond a manufactured image, however--they have songs that touch on mental health issues, anti-capitalism, self love, acceptance, and disillusionment from unreasonable expectations or perceived failure. They have a huge hand in writing and producing their own music vs groups who are just given songs in their image to be as successful as possible, and they know when to follow the formula to get their messages across (use the system!) but also when to move against the k-pop flow. I could go on all day about them and why they appeal to my DIY punk sensibilities, but I'll let you dive in on your own!

I really liked your reaction!! They have amazing personalities, which can be seen in their off-stage content or their variety shows, such as Run BTS, In the Soop, and Bon Voyage. If you want something edgy musically, I definitely recommend Jimin’s solo song “Lie”, and V’s “Stigma”. I’m not sure if you like hip-hop or rap but if you do, definitely check out some of the rap line songs such as “Tear” and “UGH” which are my absolute fav. There’s a live performance with eng sub for “Outro:Tear” posted by cutiemulletV. Anyways, I’m sure many have told you to check out the guide by Taylor if you want to learn more about the members. I hope you enjoy this journey!

Bts have more depth than Blackpink because they write their own music and lyrics (not dynamite) and usually talk about important staff. Also they struggle more to be were they are and they are very humble.

BTS covers a lot of different genres. They have 3 rappers and 4 singers and that makes them very versatile and that shows in their songs. You really should jump down the rabbit hole and get amazed. Everything they do is just great. I am not a teenage girl. I am a middle aged woman. BTS have got just as many fans in their 30 -50's of both genders as they have younger fans. Dynamite is not their typical kind of music so don't judge them out from one single song. This is just an easy fun summer bop but they are so much more.

BTS has no set genre. It can be and has been argued that they're a genre unto themselves. If you want to get a sweeping view of what these guys are capable of, I would suggest these videos: On Kinetic Manifesto MV, Mic Drop MV, Ugh, Black Swan, Stigma (V solo), Filter (Jimin solo), Daydream (J-Hope solo), Blood Sweat and Tears, Danger, Joke (RM solo), Give It To Me (Agust D solo). I know you don't like schmaltz, but Yours (Jin solo) and Euphoria (Jungkook solo).
About the band members: They don't have assigned personas. They are themselves all the time: seven smart, talented chaos gremlins. They all write and produce their music. They all joined the group through the audition and trainee process, but they're so much more than bandmates. They're family. They all have to do their mandatory military service soon, but word is that they'll be discharged and back in action as OT7 in 2025.
Leader: RM, government name Kim Namjoon - he's highly intelligent, intensely creative and a lyrical genius. His rap will also burn your eyebrows off. He's the main rapper and the best leader in the industry. He's an eloquent speaker, a very humane and thoughtful individual, and an absolute role model to a lot of people. He's the President. He loves nature, museums and literature, and his off stage behavior has inspired the term "namjooning", which is something you do when you go out into nature or to a museum and go for a mosey. He's also notoriously clumsy and is called the God of Destruction.
Jin, government name Kin Soekjin - He's the oldest in the group. He has an amazing tenor voice and an extremely engaging personality. He's very funny, and he takes such good care of his members. He's going to start his mandatory military service this month, and many of us in ARMY are sort of in mourning. He's the first one of the vocal line to join the group, and the only one who never auditioned. He was scouted when he got of a bus because he's Worldwide Handsome (WWH).
Suga, government name Min Yoongi, a/k/a Augst D - He's raw, transparent, honest, takes no prisoners and gives no fucks. He's a fast and powerful rapper, but he's also an amazing producer and has won awards for his work with other artists. He's savage but also secretly very loving. Just don't tell him you know that. ARMY proposes to him all the time, and "Marry Me Yoongi" is something that you will see and hear literally every time the fans communicate with BTS. He takes it in good humor. He's actually a cat.
J-Hope, government name Jung Hoseok - The Golden Hyung. Also known as the sunshine of the group. He is a walking piece of happiness, and he is an extremely positive person and influence on the band and the fandom. He recently headlined as a solo act at Lollapalooza and burned the stage down (no pun intended, even though one of his best songs is called Arson). He started out as a dancer and is the dance leader, which means he learns the choreography first and helps the other guys learn it. They all live in fear of making mistakes in front of him. ;) Hobi, as he's called, is immensely talented. He's a fiery rapper and a subvocalist in the group. His ambition is to be a Piece of Peace, and he succeeds.
Jimin, government name Park Jimin - Studied contemporary dance at his arts high school prior to auditioning for BigHit. He had the shortest trainee period ever, only six months compared to the usual 2 years. He's main dancer and lead vocal, and he's called the "It Boy". His voice is unique, with a one-of-a-kind tone and timbre. It's very light and very high, and it's very, very recognizable. He wrote, produced and performed the song Promise, which has the most streams in the history of SoundCloud. He's also an incorrigible flirt, has stage presence for days, and collects fans and death threats more than any other member. I wish I was joking about the last bit. Off stage, he's cute as a button and seems really soft and fluffy. Don't let that fool you, though - he has a black belt in taekwondo and studied kendo for 8 years. Once you Jim-in, you can't Jim-Out.
V, government name Kim Taehyung - He didn't intend to audition for the group, but went to the cattle call to support a friend. Whoops. Poor friend. He's lead vocal and lead dancer. V is known for his beautiful baritone voice, his stage presence, and his unique way of thinking and being. He's also been voted the most handsome man in the world on more than one occasion. He loves art, fashion, jazz music, photography and his little dog Yeontan, who some of ARMY sort of think of as the eighth member of the group. Tae, as he's known, has an incredible vocal range. He grew up as a poor farmer, believe it or not, and has blossomed into a sophisticated, multi-talented artist. He's also an actor, having been part of the cast of the historical k-drama Hwarang.
Jungkook, government name Jeon Jungkook - The youngest in the group, he's called the Golden Maknae, because he can do literally everything. He's the main vocalist and lead dancer. He often goes live to hold impromptu one-man karaoke concerts for ARMY, and it's actually really great. He's a drummer and a boxer, the muscle pig, and an extremely talented young man. He recently recorded the anthem for the World Cup and performed it in Qatar for the opening ceremony. He's also a video editor and director, with his own sort-of production company called Golden Closet Films. He also directed the band's music video for the song Life Goes On. He was only 13 when he started as a trainee and 15 when they debuted, so in a very real sense, the members raised him. They attended his middle school and high school graduations. Jin drove him to school and packed his lunches. He's their baby. He has a doberman named Bam who featured in the second season of their series In the Soop. We call him Kookie.
Sorry for writing such a long comment. You deserve a medal if you got all the way to the end. Thanks for this reaction - I look forward to seeing more BTS on your channel. :)

I really enjoyed your reaction to Dynamite even if I wish that your introduction to BTS weren’t something more representative of their vast discography. The totally English songs are fun but you don’t get the flavour of who they are from them. Never be misled into thinking that a seemingly upbeat song is really fun when it’s Korean based. BTS stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan which means Bulletproof Boy Scouts and they are there to highlight the hard knocks thrown at youth today. They’ve been through some very hard times but with ARMY on their side they have become the biggest band in the world. Doolset is the best place for translations and DKDKTV will give you the cultural explanations which are so worth knowing about. There are no egos in this band. They support each other and work their socks off. V can be a little bit of a wild child in that he is a divergent thinker and a bit unpredictable but never a bad boy. SUGA has the reputation of being tsundere so he seems cold on the outside but is caring and thoughtful on the inside. Mostly these days they give off a professional aura but then they just dissolve into the crackheads we all love. J-Hope headlined at Lollapalooza this year. Jungkook sang the opening song for the World Cup. SUGA writes and produces for other artists, most recently for PSY. Jin collaborated with Coldplay for his new record, The Astronaut. Then they all put on an amazing free concert to help the city of Busan get the 2030 Expo. The vocal line will sometimes sing on their own and the rap line will perform on their own at a concert. J-Hope (third guy on with yellow trousers and sunglasses) is both a singer and a rapper but he isn’t part of the vocal line. You were spot on with V’s voice, he’s a baritone. At the moment they’re developing their solo careers while still coming back together to perform as a group occasionally. After nine years of which about seven they were living together it’s time for them to spread their wings. Yes, they lived together in a dorm which is normal for Korean bands and trainees. BTS now have their own apartments and are developing their own musical interests but they are still BTS. I’m 70 and a Beatles fan and now I’m ARMY.

If you want something edgier and darker check out Fake Love, Run BTS, I need U, Blood Sweat and Tears, Outro Tear (Just the 3 rappers), Mic Drop remix, Blue & Grey. They all have different personalities but I don't really think there is a bad boy. If anything it might be Suga (pronounced like the word sugar) but that's just because when he raps he spits fire at his haters particularly in his solo work. If you wanna learn more about each member, I highly recommend you watch the Into to bangtan 7 guide by Taylor. You learn about the group and each members personalities and their solo work too. This is one of the schmaltzier songs they have. I don't find Dynamite to be a good representation of them as a group and their catalogue of work. I'd recommend checking out videos along the lines of Black Swan or On: Kinetic Manifesto in terms of more recent ones that are deeper and not at all like this. Their lyrics have a lot of depth and layers - they write their own for the most part. There's a great documentary A Guide to BTS which is good for an overview of the group. It's kind of hard to get their personalities from MVs. Maybe some of the Bangtan Bombs or compilations that people have done of them being, well, BTS would help with that.
ALSO, thank you for saying what you did about listening to what you like. I firmly hold the belief that there is no such thing as a guilty pleasure, there are simply things you enjoy. And don't yuck on anyone else's yum! It's often targeted at things that are perceived as geared towards females, but that's another conversation for another time.

I think the large fan base is also because kpop idols produce so much content to consume from their own reality shows and TH-cam series following their everyday lives to doing challenges attending more shows than an average artist and doing live streams and more. There is the “celebrity” of it all but you get a sneak peek into their lives like you don’t get in the west and they actively engage with fans

damn you're good!! Usually I tend to get annoyed when dynamite is someone's first BTS track cause it tends to lead to quite a few misunderstandings - but as said, you seem to know your stuff and are really enjoyable to watch and listen to. Like you talking about the different characters bands usually have, the team behind the styling of the MV and the artists working perfectly with the songwriting and the whole part about how song can be perfect and still not someone's cup of tea.. it really seems like you know what you're talking about. And all that without any negative connotations to it which would be so easy in regards to the whole industry thing behind it (which is a really hard balance to nail down cuz yeah, the boys have a high input themselves and write/produce much, but it's still an industry and that needs to be acknowledged: it's not necessarily a bad thing just a fact).. not bad man! I'll definitely go on a bit of a binge - I love finding new quality reactors, there's surprisingly few of them tbh.

Nice reaction. BTS is a one of a kind band. It’s impossible to compare them to another group as these guys only portray themselves. They have their own sound, style and even with that you will never hear any two songs that sound alike. They are that unique. I grew up listening to the Beatles and in fact suffered with beatlemania and let me explain it to you, BTS runs circles around them with true talent personalities and skills. They sing any genre. There is no one of them seeking to get out of the band in fact they will do solo stuff but these guys are forever group. They feel lost without each other. There is no “bad boy” in the group. There are 3 rappers and they are hands down the best in the business. They write the majority of their own music as well as produce it, also for others also. What sets them apart from Kpop groups is that they did everything their way from the very beginning. Can I suggest you watch Festa Room 2021, they will do bits of 9 songs one from each of their albums up to 2020 BE, this will whet your appetite. They don’t have a song I don’t love. There is House of cards from early in their career. Then their is Black Swan, DNA, Fake Love, Not Today, Wings, Blood Sweat and Tears, anything live, oh I can’t forget Idol, Singularity, Euphoria. The rap line is unbelievable, May I suggest you watch Boracity Magazine channel. This girl lays it all out, how BTS caused major changes in the Kpop industry. I could go on and on but I will stop here. Oh the fan club is extremely protective of BTS and they of ARMY, but it’s okay to be honest about how you feel about their music, don’t be frightened by some of us over protective ARMY. 😊😊😊Welcome enjoy your trip but please leave behind any preconceived ideas or pigeon holing BTS, they’re not like any other. They will always surprise you. I am OT7 and only stan BTS no other groups at all🤷🏾‍♀️.😊

Advice from a 70 year old Beatle fan turned BTS Army. (The difference is, when I was 12, I dreamed of marrying Paul McCartney. With BTS, I want to cook them dinner.) Please react to a video titled "Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7" by Taylor. It is the most complete and current. Their music is not about boy/girl love. The reason they are so big is because their music is about social injustice, depression, bullying, loving yourself, and many other issues that are important to all ages. This song, their first Grammy nomination, was one of three all English upbeat songs created for their Army to cheer them up during Covid. Most of their music is very heavy duty.
Fun fact: 25% of BTS Army (fans) are over 40.
BTS is on a higher level and that is why they are the biggest group worldwide not just Kpop. They are heavily involved with writing and producing most of their own music since they have been given artistic freedom by their label. That artistic freedom is not promoted in the rest of the world of Kpop. Other labels hand their groups songs and tell them to sing it. BTS paved the way and have moved way beyond Kpop globally. They have won over 750 awards worldwide including the Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards where they have won 11 awards, two from this year. They have won a record breaking 12 Billboard Music Awards. They have also been nominated for five Grammy Awards with three this year just announced. Two of them are with Coldplay. As I mentioned, the song you picked to react to here was their first Grammy nomination in 2020, "Dynamite". It received a lot of airplay. They have broken records held for decades by the Beatles and Michael Jackson, just to name two. I suggest you watch "Mic Drop Steve Aoki Remix" MV, "ON Kinetic Manifesto Film" MV next and then a recent "Run BTS Dance Practice. There is also a very recent "Yet to Come Concert in Busan" performance with opening songs "Mic Drop" followed by "Run BTS" that you should see. Watch them both, one right after the other. You should also react to what is recommended for you by other members of BTS Army.
Good first reaction especially since you know nothing about them. BTW, the one you think is into classic rock is not so much. J-hope seems to like rock and Jin, another vocalist likes rock. He just collaborated with Coldplay. There is a lot more to that story. BTS members also collaborated with Coldplay and was just nominated with them for a Grammy for their song "My Universe". Check out that MV. Enjoy your journey down the BTS rabbithole should you choose to jump in. It has been life changing for so many. 💜
(You are in for a wild ride. They have been making music since 2013.)

@@PrymalChaos Great comment from the OP, but just a minor correction. I wouldn‘t say the one guy is not into rock as the person mentioned in the last paragraph, because he had merch from Nirvana and even My Chemical Romance, when he was younger. On top of that, he has a tattoo of lyrics from a Nirvana song and talked about Queen. I think many fans, especially newer ones, don’t even know that. But he also loves veeeryy pop-ish music and admires singers like Charlie Puth and Ariana Grande. He is just passionate about music in general and loooves singing, so your comment wasn‘t to far off 😉
Edit: I, as a rock and metal fan myself, have a radar and a fifth sense when it comes to rock and metal. That were things I instantly noticed watching some behind the scenes. 😄

Thanks for reacting to BTS ! I think they will surprise you on many levels as this is probably the most "typical" song they've released (just wanted to share good vibes during covid and make people smile). So yeah Dynamite is good but it's about 5% of what they can do. 😊 BTS has, no lie, the wildest range of music any artist have and hundreds of songs. That means, no matter what your genre is, you'll find songs you like and some you'll enjoy less. Anyways, as much as medias like to put groups in a box, BTS is no typical "boyband" and even in the Kpop industry, they're totally different. They're pionniers in some way and to these days, I haven't seen any artist that big being so normal out of stage. They're brothers, and I'm saying that in the less cheesy way ever 😂 They literally act like brother, bickering, laughing, crying, annoying each other... everything. But most of all, they've been working very hard for a decade, literally starting from scratch in a company that was on the verge on bankruptcy only to have made this company one of the biggest economic sources in South Korea nowadays. BTS members write, produce, take part in the artistic concepts, music videos, dance choreographies, ideas... Everything basically, in collaboration with their company staff and artists. They're really on a line of they own and I think you'll see that for yourself when you react to more. That being said, you're really perceptive on many levels, can't wait to see more of your reactions 😊
Also, I think you should definitely react to the different fan-made guides about BTS. They'll put you on many informations about the group, the members, how they work and everything basically. Because above learning about their group history, these guides make you understand their music a lot more in some way. That was my case when I first became a fan (and I'm sure I'm not the only one). I guess learning about the background of each member, their background as a group and the way they work for their craft, makes you understand the music (and the artistry) in a much more complete way.
The 2 most complete (and amazingly made) guides are :
    - A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 (by Taylor)
    - THIS IS BTS | Introduction to BTS (by xCeleste)
In any case, I hope you'll enjoy the journey !!

Hi! So first of all thank you for being respectful even if a song is not within your usual scope of music, that means a lot! The fact you can go beyond the preference and see/ appreciate the production, overall experience shows who you are as a content creator/reactor and also as a person.
I get what you say about "it was made to be liked" and I can guess what you mean is that sometimes music loses its soul because it was created not from the heart but by the industry, for the masses. That does not mean that pop music is not valid bc it damn sure is and still can be soulfull. I can tell you that BTS is a phenomena but more on that under Mic Drop vid ;)
Dynamite grew on me only after pandemic started affecting negatively my life, the fact that BTS made this song and published for people to feel a bit better, to have some happiness in this grey, closed world, started to mean a lot to me. At the same time I'm not a huge fan if this song as usually they are the ones to be creators, songwriters, and also producers, and I feel this is not a song that shows them as a group c:
As for my recommendations as a person who enjoys nu metal, Queen, Limp Bizkit, heavy hip hop, and edginess/raw sounds, maybe the below would be helpful? BTS is this weird group that sounds even better (!) live, which is amazing imo.
    1. Run BTS (great version is from the concert in Busan, is about they path up till now, a mix of few genres, newest track from 2022)
    2. Fake love (it has emo rock kind of vibe, it has a few remixes and also more rock version, can be viewed as directed to fans or loved ones butbwhere's the difference ;))
    3. Outro: Tear (hip hop, heavy beat on piano melody line, about their doubts when they thought of disbanding)
    4. Dionysus (EDM, rock vibes, lots of drums, I love playing it on dtums tbh, great live version)
    5. ON (kinetic manifesto is my fav version, very hype, lots of drums, percussion sounds)
    6. Ma city (concert version is great, rocky vibes, about their birthplaces)
    7. Interlude: Shadow ( Suga, EDM rap with trap coda based on Jung's psychological def of shadow)
    8. Great f u to haters: Cypher 3 (Busan live version is exceptional), Cypher 4 (live version ftw)
    9. Poems for ARMY (fans) and for ppl to feel better: Magic shop, Life goes on, Pied piper
    10. Tear makers: Louder than bombs, Rain, We are bulletproof: The eternal

Dynamite was a wildly popular song (likely because it was one of their English songs) but it was BY DESIGN a song without edge lol. It was purely a feel good, summer, song to help people in the midst of the Covid funk have something fun to listen to (and was not one that they actually wrote). The songs that they write are generally very deep, cover heavy topics and some are super edgy. They seriously can not be categorized by any genre. They can and do have songs in all genres. I look forward to you watching some of their other, less poppy stuff. I know you will be blown away. BTW, I am a 51 y/o ARMY (wife, mother & pharmacist) from TN. I will also mention that in addition to the tons of music done by the entire group there is music by just the rap line, just the vocal line, as well as individual works by each of the members. RM, J-hope & Suga (aka AgustD) all have multiple solo album/mix-tapes. These are the three in the rap line and their music is all on the more edgy side. Stick with this journey and I guarantee you will find they have music that speaks to you.

People recommend a lot of stuff here. If you're interested on lyrics, and want variety on music genres, I'll add a few which are not so often recommended: 134340 (funky little thing about Pluto being demoted as a planet), First Love (one of the rappers talking about his relationship with music), Reflection (another rapper talking about self doubt), Jamais Vu (two singers and a rapper talking about despair and hope and everything in between I guess), Film Out (a song about memories written for a Japanese movie), Friends (a cute song about two of the singers' friendship since they were teenagers)

I hope you react to more songs, since this one was more of a commercial type... but they have many types, ballads, rap, hip-hop, pop, there is a lot of variety for any taste

I see that you already checked out Coldplay. They have a connection with BTS! They have done a collab together: My Universe. Also, Jin from BTS made a solo track with Coldplay: The Astronaut. You can check out both the MVs and concert videos.

Thanks for your reaction! It's always so nice to see people expressing the very simple idea that people should like what they like and not judge others for their preferences because...it's kind of rare these days. I see that people have already suggested their 2021 Festa Room live to let you get an idea of their range. I would also suggest watching the title medley section from one of their concerts: th-cam.com/video/QN1nBdBAcsw/w-d-xo.html. This will not only give you a variety of their songs, but you can see them in a live concert setting where they shine (the link I put in is from one of their shows at Wembley stadium back in 2019). Also, for more of a rock edge I suggest maybe watching their "Run BTS" live performance from Busan. ("Run BTS" the song, not "Run" by BTS or their variety show Run BTS ...).

Great reaction! I'm 53 yrs old and I discovered BTS 4 1/2 yrs ago and I haven't been able to listen to any other artists in the same way. BTS has so much music that it's really hard to know what to recommend. It seems like you really love music, good music. I promise you even if you don't think it's your type of music, keep listening because these boys are extremely talented and the music is absolutely amazing!

I absolutely agree with your message but be aware that BTS doesn´t have a genre. They have 300+ songs of many many genres so it´s too early to say if BTS is for you or not. Everyone will find their song, trust me. Me as a music lover and big MJ fan, I like everything from their pop songs through ballads, dance tracks, RB and jazzy stuff, latin, hip hop to hard rap. Moodier, hmmm, House of Cards, Louder than bombs, Tear, Singularity......let´s start with those :)

Please react to Mic Drop from their live Busan Concert recently. You would loved it .. one of their members Jin sang at Coldplay Concerti Beunos Aires. Song co wrote with Chris Martin. It was amazing performance. Many of their fans got emotional because it is a goodbye song aa he has to leave for his military obligation

I'm a 58 yr old Aussie lady who LOVES BTS!!!! My gateway into BTS was MIC Drop (Steve Aoki) REMIX back in 2017(Recommend this one next!!), which my daughter now almost 29 years old showed me the MV as she knows I love hip hop and rap music from the 80s/90s such as Bel Bev Devoe, Heavy D & the boys, C & C, Naughty by Nature, NWA, Public Enemy, Jodeci, Easy E, Snoop ,Dr Dre, Eminem and so many more. New Jack Swing was my vibe back in the 90s too so with BTS I was totally blown away by their talent straight away. They are so different to any boyband I knew and I am so glad I ventured down their AMAZING very LARGE Rabbit hole!! Like many other ARMY we are dedicated and protective. I will gladly subscribe just to watch you discover for yourself why BTS are BULLET PROOF BOYSCOUTS!
Once again Great reaction!! Thank you
