At 66, I've been blessed to have seen the live shows of Ella Fitzgerald, the Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, the CTI Jazz All-Stars, Dan Fogelberg and many more. I am proud to be a BTS fan of 8 years. They are the real deal, and maknae Jungkook is simply GOLDEN!💜
Have to agree .. Usher is the perfect choice for this remix .. for all the reasons you mention. But also because there’s a key line in BTS’s big hit Butter .. “Don't need no Usher to remind me you got it bad.” So. Perfect. 😂❤
Great thing about Jung Kook is, he becomes a backing dancer for Usher while Usher is singing his verse. Jung Kook is such a beautiful humble soul to be able to not be a diva about it. That is what respect is 💜
THE ANSWER IS YES, EXPONENTIALLY BETTER. How can something so awesome, become even more so, by incorporating Usher into it. You are witnessing history my friend.
They are both phenomenal. So proud of JK, his growth and seasoned artistry complements Usher as does Usher with JK. I can't wait for JK's solo work from 2025.
I think Jungkook did a great job sharing the lead limelight with Usher. Like a mutual respect of one another. It was a perfect tandem with each other. Something I feel like all of the members of BTS excel at in collaborations. The guys are very humble and seriously show such love for the artists that work with them. One of the reasons I love BTS so much. They are globally huge, but only their hearts are as big as their accomplishments, not their heads. They have a lot of respect for their influences in music since their childhoods. Class Act my amazing 7. Thank you for appreciating Jungkook’s and Usher’s performance together. I love this song!
For a BTS music video that is a one take- check out Save Me and you have to see how On Kinetic Manifesto Film: Come Prima! You will love them both honestly!
Like Hobi with his hero J Cole…he played such a minor role in their collab that reactors had their minds blown when they finally saw JHope solo stuff. 😂
You are absolutely right sir. Fred Astaire, James Brown, Sammy Davis, Michael Jackson are his influences. Usher is a master of the arts. A Master Classman! And yes, he also performed on Broadway. Great eye!!
One of the things you need to understand is that BTS members know where they stand, when they do a collaboration or in this case singing in a remix, BTS will always make the artist they sing with have their moment and chance to show their feature. Take a look at J-Hope with J-Cole. This is what BTS do. They are all humble kings.
Go back and watch Ushers smooth entrance and focus on JK and dancers. When usher says stop they all freeze until Usher gets near them. Usher has added this song w JK on his album coming out. Also I believe Ushers been doing a residency in Las Vegas! This is soo cool. 💜
These "one takes" are quite normal to BTS. To see the most impressive one, watch the official MV for BTS song, Save Me. Then watch the behind the scenes to see just how incredible that filming was! I loved the original of Standing Next To You so much, similar nostalgia as I am 51, so I could not imagine this version would be better. I was wrong. Watching them perform together is chef's kiss. Love your input in these reactions so keep pushing forward. All 7 members are equally talented and each has a different style. For me, J Hope shocked me first with his solo. Our bright sunshine went darker and towards rock with his song, More. Then Jimin shocked me again. This sweet, supportive mochi came out swinging with Set Me Free Part 2 (part 1 is a Suga song). These, for me, were the biggest surprises for solos. But you will not feel that shock if they are your first foray into the members as you won't see where they came from. Maybe if you watch J Hope's solo on BTS album called Ego to get the bright cheerful vibe, then straight into More. And for Jimin listen to Serendipity and the Set Me Free Part 2 you could perhaps see why it was such a surprise. V is just like a warm hot chocolate drink on a cold day, his jazzy, smooth vibe is so comforting, perhaps Rainy Days or Slow Dancing would be good choices. RM is so versatile from heavy rap as Rap Monster, song Joke, to more relaxed in Wild Flower with singer Youjeen. Suga aka Agust D for solo work is an incredible rapper, fast flows, cadence control, savage or deep, thought-provoking lyrics. His trilogy, Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala, is a look into his traumatic personal story, all very different. And then there is Jin. He started at Big Hit with no singing or dancing training and has become one of the best vocalists of all. He only had time to release a single, The Astronaut, before enlisting but what a gift to ARMY. He asked Chris Martin from Coldplay to help him write a song to say goodbye to ARMY for a short time. He flew from S Korea to Argentina to perform the song just once on Coldplay's tour before his enlistment. The MV is a beautiful story and the live performance was amazing. If you watch the live find one with Eng subs and has Chris Martin's introduction to Jin. Made me cry 💜
I loved your list of songs to have a listen to what we expected vs. the new styles we heard from them as soloists. ARMY was in shock for a hot minute with j-hope and Jimin, especially. V's album sounded so different from BTS, but it suited him very well. Excellent comments! ... And I, too, became a big fan of Jin's silver voice as I listened through the years. ... All 7 started out very good and have become even better. Much of that is due to their influence on each other*, I think. 💜 * Edit: ... And due to each individual's hard work! Each one strives to do more and be better.
Something else unique about Jungkook's solo launch are his dancers.. each one of them is well known in their own field and to bring such famous dancers together as your dancers is such a challenge in itself. However, as with each and every song and performance, Jungkook has easily held his own with full credit! Usher has been Jungkook's inspiration as well; which is evident in the 'behind the scenes' video of this production. I love that the producers and directors have managed to capture the essence of both Jungkook and Usher in this and kind of paid homage to Usher as well! Love this and oh so proud of Jungkook! Hope he is safe and doing well while he carries out his mandatory military service. God bless you both 🤩🍀🥰💜
Hey, fantastic commentary once again! I love that you picked up on the details and foundation of their performances. Pronunciation: Jung does have a hard J sound but it rhymes with sung (as in sing). Then carry that hard G sound into the second part of his name. It's more correct to say "Jungook" than "Jung Cook".
Also, in Korean the J sound is conflated with the Ch sound (in the same way the K and G sounds are conflated), so that pronouncing it like "Chungook" is also closer to the way they say it. ❤
@@Siennaflower True, although I would nuance that it's not quite as what a native English speaker might imagine "ch" sounding like. There are interviews out there where Jungkook introduced himself, so that's the best place to learn. 😊
He's the golden maknae a name given to him by namjoon. It's for him being that jk can do anything. JK does a lot of background vocals in quite of a few of bts songs he's an amazing artist you should check out his paintings and drawings he's good at everything sports he's a good film maker he learned guitar without lessons he's the best at playing games. Like seriously he's good at everything go check out a video called jungkook is best at everything 💜
I go back to Gene Kelly, Joel Grey Fred Astire, The Nicholas Brothers, Sammy Davis Jr. Cab Callaway, Micheal Jackson who was influence by the old steppers.. They complimented one another with almost 20 yrs. difference in their ages. It was a perfect pairing. I 'm not sure of who hit who up. I would love to see a reunion in 2025 of them roller skating to this when Jungkook finish his Military duties. He can roller skate & Usherhas been doing a lot on skates lately! Thanks you for your awesome critic I am 74 been around the block with dance. 👍❤️💜
In the most Jungkook thing to ever have Jungkooked, after meeting Usher, JK went and shaved his head nearly bald because he thought Usher looked cool. 😂
Something key with Jungkook's choreography (and BTS's) is that they build in moves that they can do while singing. Then when they have a moment to go for it (or when other members take the next lyrics), they do more intense moves. And believe me, the choreo gets INTENSE. But they train on treadmills and have conditioned themselves to learn crazy breath control -- even the rappers who will then proceed to spit fire.
my thoughts exactly when you pointed out JKs coolness in dance .. i was like "Oh wait until you see Usher's part" .. Usher has the "chill" factor that only a couple more decades of experience can give. He really just makes it look like he's on his way to drop off the mail or something .. and he's snacking on this as he goes.
I like how you pause and comment. That is supposed to be the whole point, right? To share your thoughts and educate us,to point things out that we might have never noticed our own. Therefore bring the song to a whole new level. Well done!
Thank you! I often get criticised for pausing the song. Firstly in order for the video to legally fall under the copyright stipulation of “fair use” you have to alter the original material, and secondly it baffles me that people click on a “reaction video” and then don’t want to hear my thoughts. 😂😂❤️
@@PrymalChaos People baffle me all the time for many reasons but kind of stopped caring because unfortunately you can't please everyone. There will always be people who will disagree, criticize for the sake of it. I admire your extensive knowledge and appreciate that you share it with us. And I am sure that a lot of others do too. So keep up the good work! Well done!
I love the original MV best. However, this is close. Loved MJ! Not a huge Usher fan. Love to watch him dance though. JK is where my heart is now, for few years. Can listen and watch him dance 24/7! I love their outfits! Ushers bell bottoms give even move movements! Great collab!
Jungkook is pronounced more like "Chungoog." The last "g" is a stopped song like in hot dog. The Korean character that we romanize as "k" for some reason, can sound anywhere along a spectrum of k to g depending on where it's placed in the word.
JUNGKOOK ESTA SENDO UM VERDADEIRO FENOMENO, DESDE A ABERTURA DA COPA DOS JOGOS OLÍMPICOS EM 2022 NO KATAR., QUANDO DEU INICIO AOS JOGOS. MÚSICA CONTAGIANTE DESDE A SUA VERSÃO ORIGINAL, USHER TAMBÉM É UM ÍCONE.
Usher, WOW… everyone here’s a league above… then there’s him! It’s like Usher’s a weightless angel gliding over water, or effortlessly moonwalking across a cloud. I totally forgot Usher was Usher! JK said Jimin suggested Brian Puspos for help choreographing his solo album. Brian choreographed a few pieces for Jimin like serendipity, and loved him. As I think someone mentioned, the other backup dancers are all world class, too.
Wow I didn't know jimin suggested brian. May I know from where you got this info from? I assume brian is no stranger to BTS since he has done choreography for them multiple times so choosing him was natural.
Thanks for your reactions! Love the original, love this remix just as much! I want to say that I hope you don't come away from this thinking that Jungkook is the best singer and dancer in BTS. There is no "best singer and dancer" in BTS. Jungkook is the lead singer, and he has a perfect pop singer voice. He has also worked incredibly hard for 12 years to perfect his technique, and he is completely amazing as a vocalist. That said... he can't belt like Jin, he doesn't have Taehyung's velvet baritone, and his falsetto isn't as effortless and bright as Jimin's. All four of the vocal line members are "the best singer," each in completely unique ways. 🙂 Likewise, JK is an amazing dancer, but he's only one of four members who are considered the "dance line" of BTS, and he's not the dance leader - that's J-hope. Jimin is also a trained and exquisite dancer, and Taehyung has a powerful but smooth style all his own. The other three guys are great dancers now, too, even if they didn't start out that way, and Yoongi and RM write incredible songs and can both rap their a**es off. Jungkook is an incredible performer. But don't get it twisted - he's only one of the seven world-class performers in BTS! Please check out solo songs from each of them!💜
Thank you for this balanced perspective. I’d imagine you don’t get to be in BTS unless you are absolutely crushing it. I’ll eventually get around to the other members and I suspect I will be equally as enamoured. 👍
With respect, Jungkook IS the best singer in BTS which is the reason he holds the position of main vocalist. The other vocalists have beautiful vocal tones and their own uniqueness too as you pointed out. However, JK has mastered the most vocal techniques which then makes him the most versatile. Also, his perfect vocal pitch and his innate sense of rhythm and timing makes him an incredible vocalist, harmoniser and ad libber. The fact that he sounds like the mv if not better live is testament to that. The other vocalists come to him for vocal advice and, occasionally, coaching. He also has the best English pronunciation of them all which makes his English songs better for native English speakers to connect to. As for belting? Please compare Jin’s cover of “Thorns” to JK’s. They’re hitting the same notes when belting but JK makes it look effortless (he’s BBQing steak) whereas Jin’s is clearly strained (“In the Soop”). I’m not talking about which vocal tone you prefer, just their vocal techniques. As for being an all rounder, they’ve all improved but JK confidently stepped in for the rap line in the past which none of the other vocalists could do. He sings most of their guides because as every producer that has worked with him has said, he just gets their vision. He holds the position of centre and lead dancer (J-Hope is dance leader) for a reason. It’s because he’s such an all rounder that he balances the team out. He recorded SNTY in a bit over 4 and a half hours after having received the song the evening before (even though he’s not fluent in English). He recorded one song a day for 5(?) days straight and they took only 3 and a half (?) hours to record all in a language he isn’t fluent in. Again, testament to his incredible skills as a vocalist. As for live performances, just remove the music and you’ll see who’s the most consistent vocalist and performer among the vocal line. So stop with “they’re all equally talented”. No, they’re not. The rap line can’t sing as well as the vocal line and vice versa. No one in BTS can do production as well Suga. The vocal line are not better lyricists than the rap line. J-Hope and JM are considered the best dancers of the group. They are all talented but they all have their forte. Give credit where credit is due. None of the other vocal line members can do what JK does as outlined above. Hence, he is the best singer in BTS regardless of whose vocal tone you prefer.
@@ag1445fully agreed. some people dont -want to- understand the fact that jeongguk is the main vocalist in bts for a reason. like vocal tone and ability are different things here. you can choose your fave of tone but you cant deny the talent, the technique, stability etc. and 7 people cant be equally talented of course. they have their own lanes but jungkook IS best vocalist in the bts. (that man has a perfect pitch too, by the way nd sorry english isnt my first language)
@@ag1445- I totally disagree. I love Jungkook and I love his voice too, but personally I believe that he was chosen as the main vocalist because his voice is more 'neutral' and it therefore provides a broader canvas for the rest of the vocalists to add their colours to. The rest of the vocal line have more distinctive voices which would not work for a main vocal.
Please ignore comments about how you do your reaction, such as “watch the whole …”. It’s your channel, they can just not watch. I enjoy your stopping the video to make comments about your thoughts on the performance. Waiting until the end you can’t always remember what you were thinking while watching. I appreciate your pointing out things such as one shots, etc. Please do not stop what the other viewer called going on a tangent. I’m not sure what they mean by tangent. Tangent usually refers to “completely different line of thought or action.” I didn’t find anything you spoke about to be tangential to your reaction. 23:05
This being Usher, he would have also incorporated influences from Cab Calloway, Sammy Davis Jr and the Nicolas Brothers as someone else has already commented here. 🙂
Actually, I would not term it a remix by Usher but a remix that includes Usher. Jungkook is a HYBE artist who performs under HYBE's Big Hit Music division. Usher is a Scooter Braun managed artist. Scooter Braun is CEO of HYBE America based on the agreement when HYBE bought Scooter Braun's company. The pairing of Jungkook and Usher on Jungkook's track originated from this arrangement. That Jungkook allowed or had, not sure which, Usher write a verse was just as natural as his use of Latto and Jack Harlow on other Golden album tracks. Plus providing honorifics to elders is how Korean culture shows respect for seniors. This version should be seen as a collaboration on a Jungkook track in which Usher was allowed to add his unique talents.
Oh cool! Thanks for that info. It has connected a lot of dots for me. I had no idea that there was an American arm of HYBE and least of all run by Scooter Braun.

Loved lots of the explanations and comments here, so won't repeat! Kudos, BTS ARMY! Borahae! 💜 That dichotomy of one commanding the stage while the others do the high energy dancing - that's something you'll see a lot in BTS group performances. They are actually singing, not lip-synching, so sometimes need to have a still moment for breathing. One in particular, Kim Taehyung, stage name V, is naturally suited to looking chill and suave. Except for those other times when he's tearing up the stage, lol! Each of our guys show many facets, as their many songs express many moods.
You may already know this... but all of those dancers are top shelf in their own right. The production value is simply amazing. I love this style.... sort of "old school industrial". That's a homage to the past as well as the choreography and singing. I agree..... S. Korea is the center of the musical universe right now. Great breakdown and reaction. Take care....
Great reactions! I just found your channel recently. .... I started out listening to Kpop in 2016 with BTS. Since then I have found other groups I enjoy and will share some with you.... First off there are 2 Korean Indie rock bands I really enjoy. Thought you might also. Here is a sampling of each: ONEWE: * Gravity (1st all English) (great guitar section by Kanghyun) * AuRoRa (just amazing) * Still Here * Montage * Veronica * Rain To Be ***Currently members Yonghoon (lead vocalist) & Kanghun (guitarist) are completing their 18-month mandatory military service. Gi-uk (rapper, bassist) new solo songs: * Scratch * Time Machine * Love Virus ft. Sunwoo (fr. TheBoyz) -----‐------------------------------ The Rose: * Back To Me (all English; newest & really good pure Indie rock) ** ILYSB (live on KBS Channel TH-cam) * Sorry * Sour (English) * Cure live version (English); * She's In The Rain * I Don't Know You * Alive (English) ** Woosung ft. on BTS SUGA'S "Snooze" - (Great song!!!)
Thank you for this reaction. Jungkook was the center many times when they did a choreography heavy number. Both V and Jimin also centered quite a few numbers that were choreo heavy as well. They are 7 very talented men and it is said that they would be NSYNC if NSYNC had 7 Justin Timberlakes. It really matters what you want to hear and in what timeline. There are many videos on who they are and how they began. Many people like Taylor's video for this and it is good and most recent but xCeleste and The Rice Squad as well as Ida S have I think more in depth videos of their beginnings as well as covering the albums and why they had to take a hiatus. Because of the hiatus each member put out their own music and like I said it depends on your flavor of music. J-Hope's album is a rock/rap album about his need to explore his bounderies of music. RM put out a thoughtful rap album as he is presently dealing with the stresses of being the leader of a world reknown mega group at the age of 20 to 29. Jimin put out a contemporary album about his struggles during the pandemic, V's album was a smooth Jazz and R&B album , Jungkook was full on pop album both about love and loss. In my personal opinion their B sides have more listenability (is that a word) than their mvs (not that I don't like their MVs, I do but...) the point is no matter where you stop you will find something worth listening to at anytime.
When you mentioned how Usher came in with a different flow and turn on the beat, it made me think of how...that's how Jungkook is used to collaborating with his members of BTS. :) Because there are three rappers who write their own lyrics and put their vibe over a beat, they songs will often have four or five change-ups within one song. I wonder if you would watch Fake Love (2018). It's part of their story line but is a classic BTS song.
I loved this collab so much. It matches so well, Usher is an incredible artist and he and JK were so respectful of each other that just puts the cherry on the top for this song. Jk solo work was really really well done, a pop anthem for sure. His solo was the last solo to be released from all the BTS members so you do get all the works of the other members to check out and they delivered SO MUCH. Each of them are very different from each other in terms of style and how they create their songs so it will be interesting to see your thoughts once you get to experience the other members' music. It is quite remarkable how they manage to be so different and yet so complementary of each other. It is one of the reasons why BTS music as a group is so interesting and it keeps evolving. Hope you check out more of them in the future.
Thank you for reacting to this remix version. I have watched several reactions to this video, and each one brings a fresh perspective. Like how you talked about the technical stuff such as rigs and camera shots, make us appreciate the minute details that went into achieving this spectacular performance video. I also agree with your insights, like how you highlighted the effect of Jung Kook (JK) and Usher's coolness in the dance choreo--making them shine like the superstars that they are! (Just had the chance to watch your first review of Dynamite, and your very first impression at the start of the vide was that MJ vibe- that was JK)
As you probably know by now BTS is made of three rapper and 4 vocalist. To ease your way in I suggest check out a iconic solo song from each of them first just so you can have a rough idea on each member of BTS and it won't be as overwhelming or confused on who's who when react to group as whole. Here is a quick a suggestion for each one of them. RM : Wildflower Jin : Astronaut Suga: Daechwita (AugustD is his solo persona) V : Singularity JHope : Boy meets Evil Jimin : Like Crazy and ofcourse JK you already know now 🫡
That’s a great suggestion! It is kinda overwhelming. Especially when I’m diving into several K-pop groups at the same time. There’s like 30 dudes I have to get to know. I don’t even know the names of half the people I work with. 😂😂
@PrymalChaos It's okey you remember what you remember. And if those song are impressive enough you will remember them without any effort. I'll bet it's actually harder to not remember Dimash and JK 😎

Notice something that most people miss. All BTS members always make sure who ever they collaborate with look their best. They are the ultimate team players. This is why everybody agrees to work with them. At the same time they are really respected by any artist they work with. The other thing is despite Goldens run away success most of Jks performances have been free to access by fans. Either as tv shows. Performance videos like this. The free pop up concert in Times Square which ended up huge despite no forewarning. What other group or artist does that?
I would like to recommend Jimin's "Set Me Free, Part. 2" MV or live performances. It's epic, and I think rises to the level of blowing your hair back. Other epic MV's and performances of the whole group (referred to as OT7) are "On: Kinetic Manifesto" and "Black Swan". 💜 P.S. I really enjoy the knowledge base and perspective (and respect) you bring to your reactions. Also recommend the "Dionysus" performance at the 2019 MMA. Legendary! I have to stop now before I recommend a hundred more. 💜
Some recommendations: "Set Me Free pt.2"& "Like Crazy" by Jimin of BTS "3D"&"Seven"&"Hate You" by Jungkook of BTS "Arson"&"More" by Jhope of BTS "Daechitwa"& "AGUSTD" by Suga of BTS "ON"&"Black Swan"&"Mic Drop" by BTS 💜💜
For a really cool one-take video of choreography (performed on uneven ground, no less) check out BTS's song Save Me (2016 - a few years after their debut when they were still little guys in the industry). You'll need CC
Some of BTS's best choreography is watched without camera tricks. Honestly, American cameramen get confused by that when they perform here, lol. It was clear that you were anxious at the beginning, afraid to say that Usher ruined the song. But I believe that this remix was something like a dream come true for JK because Usher is his idol 😅
Your pronunciation is fine, though it is a bit more of a softer K, more like a G. But if the pronunciation troubles you, just call him JK. It's a nickname ARMY uses, his BTS brothers use, and he even uses on himself.
Actually..... LOL The "majority" of BTS fans are grown adults, 30+. I hear what you are saying about older references in their work, but believe me, fans are aware. ARMY is a very proactive and educated fanbase and loves to study their songs and performances, for influences, for references, for hidden meaning and hidden messages, for clues to the BU storyline, etc. Even if some are younger and start out unaware of some references, other ARMY will fill them in. Obviously BTS themselves are fans of a lot of older work too, from golden age Jazz and Neo-Soul to Funk, Disco and Rock of previous eras, to the Trot genre so popular with older Koreans, to Hip Hop greats of the 70s, 80s, 90s to dance classics. They are really students of it all. They have done lots of homage to older classics in the past many, many times. Dynamite is an MJ homage like this song, as you noted when you watched it. Their live performance of it at the 2020 MMA awards has a dance break that is pure MJ and all of them are in MJ inspired outfits. JK and Jimin have done a choreography at a fan event to Black or White. That's just a couple MJ specific instances, but my point is that they have been doing this from the beginning, so now, 11 years into their career, ARMY is well versed in the classics they often reference in their work and looks for those things. Another example is their Boy with Luv MV, which is an homage to Singing in the Rain. The song is called A Poem for Small Things in Korean and is about how love is in the tiny details. The song is also for/about ARMY. They have many songs for or about or directly addressing or referencing ARMY. The tiny details in their art are indeed filled with love, the love of their art and their love on one another and their love of ARMY. They know we will look for all those tiny details and find them all. They are love gifts for us. The guys call ARMY the best detectives in the world. In terms of direction, if you want to see another one shot MV by BTS, there is one for their song Save Me. You can also watch the 6 minute MV Shooting video of the making of that video, which shows the really challenging conditions they were working in. They have those behind-the-scenes videos for many of their MVs, including Dynamite and Mic Drop to which you already reacted. Other than that, if you want to start with their earlier work and see how they have grown you could listen to their discography in order from their first trilogy in 2013/2014 of mini albums, the School Trilogy, 2 Cool 4 Skool, O!RUL8,2? and Skool Luv Affair. The first singles were No More Dream and We Are Bulletproof Pt 2, but don't neglect their amazing B Sides. Or you can listen to their first full length album Dark & Wild, partly recorded in a garage, or just the rock hip hop title track Danger. Or you can go for more recent work and try their Proof Live 3 song mini concert from their latest album Proof. Or watch a live medley of their songs that walks through a bit of a chronological journey of their career in the 2021 Festa Room Live video. Or watch their 2020 Tiny Desk from NPR, for 3 songs chosen as mental health support for ARMY and the world in the midst of the pandemic, one of which you know, Dynamite. Or watch them cover Coldplay's Fix You for MTV. Or watch them do their own song Make it Right, another song about ARMY, live on Stephen Colbert's show. Or dive into the Rap Line who you really have not heard yet and watch Outro: Tear live from Wembley or UGH! from Busan, but watch DKDKTVs explanation video for UGH! afterward and you will get a lot more out of it. It's so lyrically complex that, like a lot of their work, just subtitles are not enough to do it justice. Or try some of other solo albums and singles I listed out for you on your original Standing Next To You reaction video. th-cam.com/video/_lVxn6IQZnY/w-d-xo.html Another idea is to do Taylor Mari's excellent Guide to the Bangtan 7, which will not only introduce you to each of the guys and give you a bit of their back story, but also give you tiny tastes of songs from each. That will give you somewhere to direct your attention next when something catches your ear. The titles are written in the upper left corner when song snippets are playing in the video. th-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/w-d-xo.html Welcome to the rabbit hole. Enjoy the ride! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
What you missed, there is probably more but listen to the bass under Usher's verse and JKs at the start the effects loops are diverse. I'm guessing it's all post production but it really makes it work. Also its a really annoying bassline, try playing it without over working it with the obvious walking bass run its so beautifully empty.
Imho, he didn't do it better, but, thank God, he didn't do it worse 😅 It was a very good collab, because it was important for JK!!! Oh! About JK's name, the pronunciation is something like /Jungook/
Thru this video you brought up Michael Jackson too many times. We understand that he influenced these singers but they bring substance of their own. Thank you for your view.
No disrespect taken, but it is kind of part of the gig. 😂 Most people don’t know this but in order to not breach copyright laws, reactors are required to fundamentally alter the original program material to a degree where it is no longer possible to be a replacement for the original. Many reactors don’t respect those laws and just nod along or say the occasional sentiment, which is technically not legal use of the material. It’s why you often see Elizabeth from The Charismatic Voice restarting a song several times during a video. It makes it abundantly obvious that the material has been altered to a degree where it legally can’t be argued to be a replacement viewing experience on the artists original channel.
I’m afraid not. It wouldn’t be considered “fair use” if copyrighted material if I did that. And any reactor who does is essentially stealing. Also If I waited till the end I’d forget most of what I wanted to talk about.
jungkook is the biggest artist now. usher's time and popularity. has passed. i know youre a fan of usher. he's can dance but he's not great as jungkook. jungkook can dance all kinds of dances. he can do heavy choreos while singing live. ushe's style is very limitaed. his style is just limited. unlike jungkook he's very grateful and energetic and powerful dancer but he knows when to slow down. jungkook slowed down on his choreo here if you have seen his performances videos and live stage. jungkook slowed down on his choreo to match with usher,, giving usher consideration for his age, no offense to usher, and giving him respect. jungkook just let usher do freestyle, in consideration of his age as ive said and being respectful to usher. usher was jk's childhood idol so he has all his respect. he's so proud to work with him. the fact that usher not only did remix with jungkook but he also appeared in a perfoirmance video with jungkook which is so nice of usher to do. they bvoth showed respect and admiration to each other. usher won't collab with just anyone, especiually from kpop industry. but the fact that usher did it with jungkook shows who jungkook is. it's a perfect way for usher toi get back into the game. and jungkook is the perfect collaborator to do it with. standing next to you is one of jungkook's biggest hits. usher included the remix in his album and currently no. 2 most popular songs in his spotify profile. jungkook is the biggest artist in the world now. global pop superstar. his songs are biggest hits. jungkook is so talented like usher. im hoping for more jungkook x usher collaboration. i hope they did cos usher posted on his x acct. it says #newmusic. with him and jungkook this is a perfect collab between two legends from different generations. usher going around jungkook in the video is what he did to michael jackson too. usher is passing the torch and baton to jungkkok from king of rnb to the new king of pop nad rnb. jungkook has so much potential; and talent to show especially when he leaves his group and become full pledge solo artist. his solo era is proving how talented successful and famous he is. the fact that usher collabed with jungkook says a lot. you can hear their interactions to each other in the remix. listen closely. how usher awknowledge and recognize jungkook stature. so proud o9f jungkook. his enlistment is annoying. it's hybe and his members decisions. theyre so afraid without him. i just cant wait for jungkook to go solo. people are waiting for his solo and everyone got really dsiappointed and heartbroken when bh announced his enlistment. thank ou stay safe
Usher has just completed his Las Vegas residency and he is due to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show in February. He also has a new album coming out. So we don't know if JK is the new king just yet. 🙂
We should also remember that much of K-pop is based on the RnB and hip hop of the 90's & 00's. What Usher and other artists were doing back then was totally original. But without Usher, there would be no Jungkook.
You sound stupid af fr Usher is still here doing his thang, he’s way more experienced in dancing, do some damn research before you say dumb shit like this 🤡🤐
At 66, I've been blessed to have seen the live shows of Ella Fitzgerald, the Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, the CTI Jazz All-Stars, Dan Fogelberg and many more. I am proud to be a BTS fan of 8 years. They are the real deal, and maknae Jungkook is simply GOLDEN!💜
I love when Usher comes in and says "stop," and the others in the background stop and stay that way, so cool!!!
I didn’t pick up on that. 😄
Have to agree .. Usher is the perfect choice for this remix .. for all the reasons you mention. But also because there’s a key line in BTS’s big hit Butter .. “Don't need no Usher to remind me you got it bad.” So. Perfect. 😂❤
Also .. Standing Next To "U" :)
Oh yeah!
That’s awesome!
Hah, just made this same comment b4 seeing yours.
Wait Usher is 45 now! He's still got IT, very smooth.
Oh wow! Is he? I always assumed he was older than me. Huh. 😆
Thank you for thus explanation it's a very good way to embrace each member solo acts ❤❤
* Edit: ... And due to each individual's hard work! Each one strives to do more and be better.
I completely agree. Perfect summarization :)
Oh wow! Thank you! I was way off. 😆
Gene Kelly was a name I was struggling to find during the reaction. Also I hadn’t thought of Sammy Davis. Good call
Great commentary and break down , re the old school influence in ushers performance
This is history in the making, so glad you got to witness it. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I loved the Fred Estaire move with side glide!
Yeah it was so classically cool.
The dancers are crazy perfection
🎉🎉🎉🎉
In the most Jungkook thing to ever have Jungkooked, after meeting Usher, JK went and shaved his head nearly bald because he thought Usher looked cool. 😂
He had to shave his hair off anyway, he just did it earlier than anticipated after meeting Usher.
@@ScarDragon Yeah, I get it. It was just too cute the explanation he gave.
Well done!
@@renata6734 I appreciate you watching!
Thanks for the tip!

That was actually the FIFA World Cup, not the Olympics.
Usher really impressed me on this. It was a wonderful surprise!
Bob Fosse! Genius reference! Almost makes up for Toto. 😉
@@ag1445well said. 👍🏾
I noticed the Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly and Bob Fosse influences also.
I guess if you are a performer like Usher you only stand to gain creatively by pulling influence from all facets of dance.
This being Usher, he would have also incorporated influences from Cab Calloway, Sammy Davis Jr and the Nicolas Brothers as someone else has already commented here. 🙂
@@djlivvy46 This video reminds people that Usher is STILL that guy.
King Usher baby

Borahae! 💜
That dichotomy of one commanding the stage while the others do the high energy dancing - that's something you'll see a lot in BTS group performances.
Here is a sampling of each:
ONEWE:
* Gravity (1st all English) (great guitar section by Kanghyun)
* AuRoRa (just amazing)
* Still Here
* Montage
* Veronica
* Rain To Be
***Currently members Yonghoon (lead vocalist) & Kanghun (guitarist) are completing their 18-month mandatory military service.
Gi-uk (rapper, bassist) new solo songs:
* Scratch
* Time Machine
* Love Virus ft. Sunwoo (fr. TheBoyz)
-----‐------------------------------
The Rose:
* Back To Me (all English; newest & really good pure Indie rock)
** ILYSB (live on KBS Channel TH-cam)
* Sorry
* Sour (English)
* Cure live version (English);
* She's In The Rain
* I Don't Know You
* Alive (English)
** Woosung ft. on BTS SUGA'S "Snooze" - (Great song!!!)
Because there are three rappers who write their own lyrics and put their vibe over a beat, they songs will often have four or five change-ups within one song.
Oh yeah!! I need to go back and watch that dynamite reaction again now that I have a better understanding of BTS
MJ living on ❤
As you probably know by now BTS is made of three rapper and 4 vocalist. To ease your way in I suggest check out a iconic solo song from each of them first just so you can have a rough idea on each member of BTS and it won't be as overwhelming or confused on who's who when react to group as whole.
Here is a quick a suggestion for each one of them.
RM : Wildflower
Jin : Astronaut
Suga: Daechwita (AugustD is his solo persona)
V : Singularity
JHope : Boy meets Evil
Jimin : Like Crazy
and ofcourse JK you already know now 🫡
That’s a great suggestion!

Of course it's kookie 💜
Next you should react to 3D and then to 3D Justin Timberlake remix.
🔥🔥🔥
I love your commentary!
Some recommendations:
"Set Me Free pt.2"& "Like Crazy" by Jimin of BTS
"3D"&"Seven"&"Hate You" by Jungkook of BTS
"Arson"&"More" by Jhope of BTS
"Daechitwa"& "AGUSTD" by Suga of BTS
"ON"&"Black Swan"&"Mic Drop" by BTS 💜💜
For a really cool one-take video of choreography (performed on uneven ground, no less) check out BTS's song Save Me (2016 - a few years after their debut when they were still little guys in the industry).
You'll need CC
Some of BTS's best choreography is watched without camera tricks. Honestly, American cameramen get confused by that when they perform here, lol. Like, just set your camera down and go get a sandwich, bro, BTS will take care of the rest.
Some of their best single-focus choreo IMO is:
- Blood, Sweat, and Tears th-cam.com/video/v8z1TtlY1no/w-d-xo.html
- Idol th-cam.com/video/bhWXw56puNY/w-d-xo.html
- Black Swan th-cam.com/video/fTS1jAhWPbw/w-d-xo.html
- Fire (though there is .....one camera motion) th-cam.com/video/sWuYspuN6U8/w-d-xo.html
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉😊
Actually..... LOL
The "majority" of BTS fans are grown adults, 30+.

Another idea is to do Taylor Mari's excellent Guide to the Bangtan 7, which will not only introduce you to each of the guys and give you a bit of their back story, but also give you tiny tastes of songs from each. That will give you somewhere to direct your attention next when something catches your ear. The titles are written in the upper left corner when song snippets are playing in the video.

Welcome to the rabbit hole. Enjoy the ride!

Junkook was 13 years old , 15 is Korean age.
What you missed, there is probably more but listen to the bass under Usher's verse and JKs at the start the effects loops are diverse. I'm guessing it's all post production but it really makes it work. Also its a really annoying bassline, try playing it without over working it with the obvious walking bass run its so beautifully empty.
What’s going to blow your hair back? Check out Jhope’s More and Arson. Trust me.
Noted! Thank you!
I kept hearing a sound in the background. Was someone running a washing machine in your house or am I losing the plot?
Imho, he didn't do it better, but, thank God, he didn't do it worse 😅
It was a very good collab, because it was important for JK!!!
Oh! About JK's name, the pronunciation is something like /Jungook/
Thru this video you brought up Michael Jackson too many times. We understand that he influenced these singers but they bring substance of their own. Thank you for your view.
JK is not the centerpiece of BTS, but he has an important role to play. They all do really.
Jungkook is the center of BTS
You talk a lot, no disrespect.
No disrespect taken, but it is kind of part of the gig. 😂
Most people don’t know this but in order to not breach copyright laws, reactors are required to fundamentally alter the original program material to a degree where it is no longer possible to be a replacement for the original.
Can you please just watch the whole thing before you start going off on a tangeon for 10 mins....
2 most popular songs in his spotify profile. jungkook is the biggest artist in the world now. global pop superstar. his songs are biggest hits. jungkook is so talented like usher.
im hoping for more jungkook x usher collaboration. i hope they did cos usher posted on his x acct. it says #newmusic. with him and jungkook
this is a perfect collab between two legends from different generations. usher going around jungkook in the video is what he did to michael jackson too. usher is passing the torch and baton to jungkkok from king of rnb to the new king of pop nad rnb. jungkook has so much potential; and talent to show especially when he leaves his group and become full pledge solo artist. his solo era is proving how talented successful and famous he is. the fact that usher collabed with jungkook says a lot. you can hear their interactions to each other in the remix. listen closely. how usher awknowledge and recognize jungkook stature. so proud o9f jungkook. his enlistment is annoying. it's hybe and his members decisions. theyre so afraid without him. i just cant wait for jungkook to go solo. people are waiting for his solo and everyone got really dsiappointed and heartbroken when bh announced his enlistment. thank ou stay safe
