Amazing Carnival Glass from Thrift Store!

- So excited to have found this lovely three piece matching Imperial
Glass console set at a local thrift store. What a find for less than
$20! I'll be keeping the console set but that stunning carnival glass
bowl WILL be up for sale very soon. Thanks for watching everyone
and don't forget to vote! BTW dragged is the past tense of the word
drag. Some people use drug instead of dragged, but to do so is
incorrect. Drug has other uses, but when conjugating the verb drag
into the past tense, stick with dragged.

BTW dragged is the past tense of the word
drag. Using the word drug instead of dragged isn't really considered
correct English. So, when conjugating the verb drag into the past tense, It's best to stick with dragged. But to be
honest, it didn't make one bit of difference to the cat! :)

I'm with you 100%! We probably won't know the results of the election for God only knows how long, and you can bet the outcome will be disputed no matter who wins. I did my "patriotic duty" by voting, but for the rest of the day I'm concentrating on something fun like doing something Christmasy!

I've already voted. You stay safe and come home after you vote because we never know if the trouble will continue and we would all be heartbroken if something happened to you. The ruffled candy dish is beautiful and I normally don't care for carnival glass.

Something about the matte finish of the flower frog says Weller to me. The ruffled pedestal bowl is pretty amazing. I fully intend to read tomorrow - anything to stay away from election returns, and thereby maintain my sanity LOL.

Well you have finally found something that i have been looking for a long time. The carnival glass, I have had the base for many years and never have I been able to find just the punch bowl. Glad you were able to find the pair. I've always loved this type of glass.have a few pieces. I like the bowl and candle sticks beautiful color. The dishes remind me of the one's on the old I Love Lucy show I've often wondered what they are,I look every time I watch. really enjoy the smaller haul vids...not as overwhelming and somehow each piece receives more attention. the apples look really yummy...you've inspired me to try to make some...and I'm 100% positive that Scott voted the way I did :----)

The green tidbit tray is by Cambridge Glass Company and is called 'Etch #732' Majestic.
The spike flower frogs are great for holding up small vintage cardstock decoravtive items like postcards or cardboard cut out decorations. The ones with the holes hold vintage cupcake picks, pencils, pens, make a nice arrangement with fake flowers on the table.
That carnival glass piece took my breath away! Just stunning. Thanks once again for a great video. I’m not watching any election coverage... it’s way too stressful. Your videos are just the ticket to keep me sane!

We have that exact same punch bowl and cups. So beautiful and ornate. Got ours here in southeast Alabama, at an estate sale store.

Kitchen counter is #1 because every item coordinates with each other. My favorite is the extra fancy punch bowl with it's pedestal. GREAT VIDEO AND GREAT CONTENT. THUMBS-UP ALWAYS!!!!!!!!

I use flower frogs often and keep a carnival glass flower frog to hold my pens.
I had that exact lamp in the 60s.
I collect flower frogs and use them often . My lucite amber candles would look Beautiful with the console set . Great Haul Steve 😀

Scott, I must tell you I'm not a fan of amber glass, but that Halloween find of yours makes me wonder why. It is gorgeous, so suited for fall decor, you must show it on display! Kay, I agree. Never cared for amber glass at all and Scott has broaded my horizons. I believe what the difference is that Scott shows us high quality glass. Modern glass just doesn't display as well.
That console set is stunning. I love that honey color too. I found a set of fostoria candlesticks and then went back two days later and found the rolled rim console bowl. They are the same color as yours. Such a fun video today.

We just moved+ my friend threw out So many nice things we just don't have room for... I was cringing... But we downsized+ just don't have the room!! The flower frog looks like it's part of another piece. I believe it would have sat in a matching dish/bowl. If there was a mark, more than likely it was on the dish.
Dragged or drug depends on how tired I am when I say it. When I'm tired, my central Delaware really comes out in me.

The small punch bowls were actually Egg Nog Bowls. Perfect for the Holidays. Yes, large functions would have 2, a large punch bowl for punch and then a matching small punch bowl for egg nog.

Wow! The Dogwood plates are the ones my Mother had when we were growing up. Did they come by the piece in boxes of laundry soap?
You need to provide the recipe with your sales. I would try them.
Really nice items! The Carnival Glass "orange bowl with foot", as Imperial called it, is in their "Fashion" pattern. It is indeed a fruit bowl. Check ddoty.com, and under the Imperial listings you can find info on it there. David Doty is pretty much THE go-to for CG info.
Did your pottery flower frog have impressed numbers on the bottom? Weller, as well as many other companies produced them. Numbers were probably shape or style. Could someone have married those two carnival pieces? Maybe, smaller ones are Tom & Jerry sets.
I think Carnival Glass candy bowl and pedestal is Imperial glass. The mark on the pedestal looks like Imperial glass.

That flower frog made me think of Frankoma, but nope. Then, Weller, but nope. I don't have a frog, but I have a two-piece white ceramic dish with a lattice cover from my Maternal Grandmother's estate. When my neighbor trims his roses, he has little stems in a bag for me. And that lattice-covered dish is perfect for holding those little stems upright! ---I just got home from voting. I like to be SEEN!

They were used to hold cut flowers in place for a table arrangement.

Scott I can’t find your on line store. Would you mind telling me how to access it? I live in 🇨🇦Canada if that makes any difference. All I get is actual pieces of china in the OCS pattern. I do use old glass flower frogs for peonies especially.
