Oliver and company is prehaps one of the most underrated Disney movie of them all. It is a really good movie, with a lot of heart an emotion and Catchy songs!
I was disgusted when I saw this movie in an article of Disney’s worst films. I always saw this as one of their best and I grew up on this movie. Hands down one of the most underrated but so amazing idek what else to say, my childhood.
Agreed. Nr 15 on my list. Currently watching every Disney Classic. So far I've watched 41. Next up is The Rescuers and Rescuers Down Under. My moms favourite Disney movie is apparently The Rescuers
Oliver and Company might be one of the most underrated disney films, but it's a great movie and when I first saw it, I fell in love with it and it will stay in my heart for the rest of my life.
Golden times for cartoon films. So thankful to have had my childhood with such films as Oliver and company. I still listen to this song today. Such a motivating tune to go through life
It's French and translated it literally means "to know-to do" because "savoir" is the French verb for "to know" and "faire" is the French verb for "to do".
Used to have this on VHS growing up. Haven't seen this in like... Over a decade but I can't believe I still remember this song. I loved Oliver and company. Arguably one of the most memorable movies for me. I actually liked it more than lady and the tramp tbh
Brooke&Shakita's World! Gay is just another word for homosexual. Homosexual is when two people of the same gender is in love with each other. Get educated
I haven’t watched this in years but seeing that it’s on Disney+ got me thinking about this song. I never realised until now that it’s Billy Joel doing the voice of Dodger & singing this song
Camille Pendragon actually, the rating system become more restrictive and society more sensible, that's why movies like frozen or the incredibles are PG13
I just finished watching Oliver and Company for the 2nd time in my life, after only seeing it once when I was 10. I love it, it's fun, the characters are charming enough, and while the story is nothing special, it still works and is functional. This is the best song in the film, and it's a great example of how much better songs were in the older Disney films.

Some of my cousins and I used to go to my grandparents house every weekend. My grandparents were poor, but they occasionally take us all to the video store and let us pick one movie that cost money and two of the free kids movies the store offered. The last time they rented Oliver and Company and Fievel Goes West for me was the time the store ended up just giving us the tapes (early 90s). The clerk said, "You know, you're the only people that rent these two and you've rented them 21 times this year. Why don't you just keep them this time?" I jumped up and gave the clerk, an older woman, the biggest hug and thank you! This is a classic movie through and through!
It makes me incredibly proud that this is my five year old daughter's favourite song from her favourite Disney movie. We watch it together at least every other day (sometimes multiple times a day) 😂 she sings Once upon a time in New York City to her little brother and sister as a lullaby
You’re a kid who’s just had their last day of school, you finished all your finals, you and your class are standing in front of the door waiting for the bell to ring so you can get out of there, and you’ve been waiting what feels like forever for this moment. The bell rings, everyone starts cheering, and you’re walking to your parents’ car, knowing you have the whole summer ahead of you to do whatever you want. When you’re doing that sweet victory walk through the school to the parking lot....THIS is the song that plays in your head, it’s what happiness sounds like. Also, the way he says “STRRRREEEEET” might be one of my favorite sounds EVER. I love the way he just RIPS into it when he gets to that part:)
It's crazy how this song came to my head I remember watching this movie when I was a kid I was 5 at that time and I'm 25 now MAN WHAT A HUGE THROWBACK!
Also this film had a lot of morals in it as well, like most Disney films do, but this one actually has morals that still hold up today and probably stronger than ever.
This is such a good and underrated song honestly, I'm so mad I didn't watch that movie as a kid and got to sing that everywhere. Now I'm catching up on this, it's never too late
I watched this movie when I was 3! I couldn't remember most of the words in this video, but the minute I heard "why should I worry?" a flood of memories came pouring back to me. Love it! Love it! Love it! I remember "calling" Oliver on the telephone (which was just me putting a plastic play-set phone up to my ear) and pretending to have a conversation with him. Ah, childhood...
I played the movie for my 18th month old daughter, I was singing this song and my husband said that he'd never seen it. I made him watch most of it with me before he had to leave for work.
I just watched this movie with my son and it brings back memories of rewinding my VHS tape from blockbuster watching it over and over 😩 one of my favorite movies and song why should I worry why should I care I was singing this so loud today
I think it's so cool billy joel did his voice + singing voice. I always grew up on this and just finally learned the lyrics all the way. so thank you much!
This is the best song of the whole movie. Shame Oliver isn't as popular as the other Disney movies have been and still are. Oliver and Company's a great movie. :)
I’m a cartoon / animation fanatic I’ve probably watched nearly all of the original cartoon movies from the 20th century & this one is a real good one watch,
Me and my husband watched this for the first time together the other day, last time I saw it was 15+ years ago as a kid. We both laughed and cried all the way through but completely rocked out to this scene lol
I love the movie Oliver and Company and the soundtrack to it since I was young from my childhood, and I still love it. Billy Joel has the best voice ever has for Disney everytime the dogs and dodger did "Whoo Whoo Whoo Whoo" I do the same thing too.
A lot may find this shocking but this is the song that introduced me to Billy Joel. Had it not been this movie, I wouldn't have known one of my favorite music composers ever!
Oliver and Company is such a good movie. The voice actors are so good Joey Lawrence as Oliver, Billy Joel as Doger, Cheech Martin as Tito, Sheryl Lee Ralph as Rita, Bette Midler as Georgette
When I was younger I was supposed to go in for an X-Ray and the doctor told me if I stay calm I can pick out a movie from his shelf thingy. And I chose this, and its forever one of my favorite movies.
Oliver & Company and Cars are my 2 favourite childhood movies. Im now 16 and still legit "cry" for these 😭☹️💕 This song but only finnish version Will stay In my mind for my whole and never gonna forget it.
This song will always be irresistible to me, this movie showed such an intense importance of family, it was beautiful. This song remains in my head for hours on end, when a song is that good, it shows how good the movie is if you ask me. ^W^
I always thought it was "I may not have a dime, but I've got Street and Sidewalk Fare", too. Like he doesn't care that he doesn't have bus fare, because he has a mastery of the streets and sidewalk.
I have two fond memories associated with this song. I watched the movie a few times, when I was younger. Then when I was in my first year of college, I spent some time in New York City, and I remember wandering around, and I found Delancy street. I was just thinking "I'm down on Delancy street. Now I need to find St. Mark's." but never got to St. Mark. The other is when I danced with my sister to this song for her sweet sixteen. She had a prom themed birthday because the corona got the real one cancelled. And her condition was that each of the brothers would dance with her. Everyone admitted that mine was the most fun.
So I just watched this on Disney plus, remembering the title of the movie. And holy nostalgia! Love this song! Massively underrated movie. (I have seen before but i was much younger)

Pretty much the Hunch back of Notre dame is a little more underrated
I always wanted to cry and I still do. AND YOU DON'T SEE A BLOODY THING FROM OR FOR THIS MOVIE. >:(

That maybe so, but it really isn't that good, except the animation and just this song is pretty good.

What if it wasn't the worst film at all? What if the film was a total success from the beginning? That could've been excellent.
That's blasphemy, I'm generally not a big fan of disney but this film has a very special place in my heart 🙌🏻
Here here mate it just goes to show that people don’t have good taste in movies
