He was blotted. Chemicals in his body did this. At the autopsy his organs were twice the size of normal organs. He might have been fat like 300 hundred pounds but the swelled body wasn't natural. It didn't take away the personal charm though. ..
I was present at his last concert in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was extremely overweight and bloated. I was totally shocked. He slurred his words quite a bit and also forgot a lot of his words to his music. It broke my heart.

Thank you so much Ginger for your love and respect for Elvis, which is so apparent in your Memoir! It’s 2022 and I watched Elvis (the movie in theaters) and it was incredible , so grateful for their love and respect and truth telling was so appreciative as a society then and today. Elvis was like our American Hercules, sent to save the world with his strength and gifts. After I watched Elvis though, I felt unsettled and sad. Longing for more, it tortured my thoughts and heart for nearly a week. And then I came across Ginger and Elvis (it really did feel like a gift from Elvis through Ginger) telling who he really was and the man he had become, and who was by his side during his literal last breath. And I feel so much better and uplifted , knowing this intimate inside look, how much hope and love and life was before him. He had new dreams and he died knowing he was loved by “Gingerbread”. Elvis was so spiritual and full of knowledge and truths and I’m forever grateful and touched by this memoir. Elvis, Our American King. We love you Elvis and your legend lives on. From a 90’s little girl from Kentucky, grown into the woman I am today- spreading your light and love and songs to my own children now.

She has never said one negative thing about EP. The medications, lifestyle and health problems had made him very puffy, yet she respectfully considered his over salting his food and not being 20 anymore to his appearance. Obviously, they were engaged and she said Yes to his proposal and she still has the ring, although a lot of the Memphis Mafia downplays the engagement. She probably was going to become his wife and make some changes that were healthier for them and nobody wanted to rock the boat, (if it ain’t broke- don’t fix it) just keeping the EP business running….while Elvis needed to get his health in check and bond with Ginger in order to have a normal private life, outside of the marketing of Elvis. I don’t know how she survived this whole incident, but she seems like a lovely person and she most likely would have been a good grounding person for him. Some normalcy in his upside down life. Unfortunately, his kind, big heart gave out due to way too many meds that don’t solve health problem. 42 is incredibly young and I don’t think he knew the impact his life story and music would make and now Lisa, although guarded, can continue to touch lives through the foundation because that’s what he would have wanted. ❤️❤️❤️

Ginger is so sweet I can't understand why Priscilla would treat her so cruel after he died. Priscilla didn't want him any longer but she never wanted to give up the fame that came with his name. Which Elvis didn't want her to use after their divorce.

I believe Elvis was. A great human being. I am a great fan until this day. He appeared to be a private person who adored his fans. I believe the loss of his mother devistated him. And I think the birth of his daughter Lisa Marie brought him back. I seen at his last TV concert he was heavier and he was sweating profusely. And there were some people in the audience were making fun of him. That really hurt my heart. I know he is with God because I also have a strong Spiritual Foundation. Thank you Elvis for all the years you gave us your music. You are Forever in my heart as a beautiful Spirit. It is heavens gain. Amen
I've recently read ginger book and I totally changed my mind about her and their relationship. in his last months Elvis had found someone who really cared about him. they loved each other... they were thinking about wedding and having children... he would have deserved much more... I can't help but think that had Ginger, who was with Elvis that time in his room, been vigilant of him being in the bathroom for so long ( of course, she may be a deep sleeper), Elvis might still have been saved. When she found him in the toilet, rigor mortis had set in and it just means Elvis had been dead for quite some hours already. He might have asked for help but Ginger may be too deeply asleep. Scenarios of 'what could have been' playing in my mind.

I saw Elvis in concert when I was 16, in Indianapolis, In. Im 58 now. He was great on stage , I will never forget him. But , he was over weight and didn't look healthy at all. It was a show I will never forget.
If you go back to the New Years Eve concert in ‘76 he was not fat or looking over weight. Ginger is still so pretty. She could not keep track of Elvis every single second. He was a grown man. Linda Thompson tried to watch over him all the time but that was impossible. Ginger only has nice things to say about him. I hope she has good memories and a happy life now.

I feel bad for anyone who struggles with weight problems in our culture-“being fat” is almost the worst sin you could commit in America. Elvis had many health problems, as Sally Hoedel, researches and documents in her book, Elvis: Destined to Die Young. I think it was a combination of lifestyle, health issues, medications, cortisone, and a hectic schedule that caused him to age prematurely in many ways. He had many illnesses that elderly people get: glaucoma, arthritis, hypertension, as well as inherited problems. But none of this diminishes all that Elvis accomplished in his life, the fact that he changed music/culture forever and THAT VOICE, which was a gift of God, never failed and it was beautiful and blessed us beyond measure.

This makes me angry. People still love Elvis, so opening Graceland wasn’t such a bad idea. Everyone wanted something from Elvis, and he was always generous with Priscilla. Following his death, his father was named the executor of his estate and Lisa Marie, the sole heir. Vernon’s will named Priscilla as executor as Lisa Marie’s mother because she was a minor. She became charged with investing Elvis’ money upon discovering the estate was in financial straits and basically broke. Priscilla did what she had to do to save his legacy. There wasn’t much left for Lisa but a lot of debt. Everything was to provide for their only child. Lisa Marie was the love of their lives and they remained close friends and admittedly said they would always love each other. That special connection bonded them forever. He knew Priscilla would do the right thing concerning their daughter. Priscilla had to rescue the finances. She didn’t just “get it all.” She doesn’t oversee it now. Priscilla has done well for herself and lives a comfortable life. Lisa Marie took ownership at a certain age. Priscilla could have reconciled with Elvis but she didn’t. They were better friends and shared love of their daughter.

Elvis was a very smart and intuitive man so instead of aiming your jealous and biased comments at the wrong person give him credit for his choice in woman. Ginger was beautiful good and well brought girl.. Even though young at that time Ginger still cared a great deal and enough not to feed him to the vultures like a whole bunch of others who did.. I've decided to write my piece for whatever it's worth and to give Ginger credit for being who she was and still IS.. A beautiful person from the inside out Ginger won the King's trust and heart ;) Its her time to shine now and your light of envy cannot dim that. This absolutely classy lady certainly showed a lot of spunk which Elvis must've loved her for it, and despite whatever arguments they might've had like any other normal couple in love do, It wasn't easy for her even though she cared. Her facial expressions in many photos with Elvis are a dead giveaway and so is her body language. Being an Elvis GF was a tough job and one especially so young WAS even harder. Moreover whether you care to accept or admit , it was Elvis who fell real hard this time.. fact not opinion, and was all set to marry for a second time. And unlike his first marriage where it was doomed from the word "go" this time he was verrry sure and under no pressure unlike the first. Ginger's book makes for great reading where she busts many myths written about Elvis and lays to rest many lies that have been repeated very convienently for the past years. Not defending herself made it even worse and folks believeed it all. Surprisingly I never did since I always wanted to hear her side of the story. . THANK YOU Ginger I believe you simply 'cause you didn't write a book when you were hounded to so but instead waited nearly 37 years to tell YOUR side of the story.. 37 years, whew!!!! With the same refinement that drew Elvis to her and kept him on his toes Ginger writes about their relationship. Elvis all set to marry even introduces her as his 'fiancee' (a thing he'd never done before ) which spoke volumes of his love for her. He even spoke to his father saying that he wanted a son with Ginger and Kathy Westmoreland testifies to the fact that Elvis was crazy about Ginger and so did Priscilla who said the same at the funeral ;) Ginger was good for Elvis simply because of who she is; a down-to- earth modest and loving girl,. She seems the same even today and I'm sure Elvis would've been so proud of her. Almost 37 years later despite repeatedly dismissed by many defends him and the lies and deserves a HUGEEE HUg. I hope she makes tons of cash like those who still DO and for all the wrong reasons too. Whether "an axe to grind or painting a pathetic Elvis based more on envy and jealousy, Ginger instead comes across like a breath of fresh air, and in her 'No Holds Barred' kinda way says it like it actually WAS. I somewhow KNEW Ginger was extra special to Elvis and even though I wish she had written this book sooner I still salute her for finally doing so. Elvis must be smiling where ever he is and so are 'the much awaited fans' and Im not talking about the jealous ones but the honest ones, those are actually his true fans. I also think that Elvis truly loved Ginger, when I watched the movie '' Elvis and Me, '' I came to see Elvis as a man, and Priscilla as the sufferer, but when I started researching, I saw that Priscilla also messed up with Elvis, began betraying her husband years before finally abandoning him, she used the important dates for them to take revenge on him, used the money he gave her to open a gym for her lover, went to the TV to say he was happy with another men. After Elvis died she returned to use the surname Presley, started to behave as his widow and lives to this day in his shadow. Ginger, who at first I thought I was a profiteer, after much research I saw that she seemed to be sincere and spontaneous with Elvis, after reading that he asked her to marry him, gave a house to her mother, went to the funeral of her grandmother and wanted to take her whole family to travel with them I had no doubt that there really was love. You can see that today Ginger is hardly quoted, she is not quoted because she does not live in Elvis' shadow, she did not use his death to profit, so much so that she only wrote her books years later.

Elvis was a fallible mortal human being and it would be so nice if people would just stop putting him on a pedestal because as he said himself "an image is just an image... it's not the man... it's just an image of what people think you are"... what a heavy burden to carry and he also didn't like being called "The King" because the true king was and IS Jesus Christ whom Elvis was such a believer in our Savior! Thank you so much Ginger for your love and respect for Elvis, which is so apparent in your Memoir! It’s 2022 and I watched Elvis (the movie in theaters) and it was incredible , so grateful for their love and respect and truth telling was so appreciative as a society then and today. Elvis was like our American Hercules, sent to save the world with his strength and gifts. After I watched Elvis though, I felt unsettled and sad. Longing for more, it tortured my thoughts and heart for nearly a week. And then I came across Ginger and Elvis (it really did feel like a gift from Elvis through Ginger) telling who he really was and the man he had become, and who was by his side during his literal last breath. And I feel so much better and uplifted , knowing this intimate inside look, how much hope and love and life was before him. He had new dreams and he died knowing he was loved by “Gingerbread”. Elvis was so spiritual and full of knowledge and truths and I’m forever grateful and touched by this memoir. Elvis, Our American King. We love you Elvis and your legend lives on. From a 90’s little girl from Kentucky, grown into the woman I am today- spreading your light and love and songs to my own children now.

Ginger, you are amazing! I can't even begin to realize the pressure of being that close to Elvis. He was so lucky to have someone such as you, and to have your Love, and devotion!
She has never said one negative thing about EP. The medications, lifestyle and health problems had made him very puffy, yet she respectfully considered his over salting his food and not being 20 anymore to his appearance. Obviously, they were engaged and she said Yes to his proposal and she still has the ring, although a lot of the Memphis Mafia downplays the engagement. She probably was going to become his wife and make some changes that were healthier for them and nobody wanted to rock the boat, (if it ain’t broke- don’t fix it) just keeping the EP business running….while Elvis needed to get his health in check and bond with Ginger in order to have a normal private life, outside of the marketing of Elvis. I don’t know how she survived this whole incident, but she seems like a lovely person and she most likely would have been a good grounding person for him. Some normalcy in his upside down life. Unfortunately, his kind, big heart gave out due to way too many meds that don’t solve health problem. 42 is incredibly young and I don’t think he knew the impact his life story and music would make and now Lisa, although guarded, can continue to touch lives through the foundation because that’s what he would have wanted. ❤️❤️❤️

I believe the loss of his mother devistated him. And I think the birth of his daughter Lisa Marie brought him back. I seen at his last TV concert he was heavier and he was sweating profusely. And there were some people in the audience were making fun of him. That really hurt my heart. I know he is with God because I also have a strong Spiritual Foundation. Thank you Elvis for all the years you gave us your music. You are Forever in my heart as a beautiful Spirit. It is heavens gain. Amen

I can't help but think that had Ginger, who was with Elvis that time in his room, been vigilant of him being in the bathroom for so long ( of course, she may be a deep sleeper), Elvis might still have been saved. When she found him in the toilet, rigor mortis had set in and it just means Elvis had been dead for quite some hours already. He might have asked for help but Ginger may be too deeply asleep. Scenarios of 'what could have been' playing in my mind.

I saw Elvis in concert when I was 16, in Indianapolis, In. Im 58 now. He was great on stage , I will never forget him. But , he was over weight and didn't look healthy at all. It was a show I will never forget.

Elvischick, everyone in Elvis's circle = men, women, were in for the freebies, goodies, while alive and some continued on making business at his death. And Elvis knew that right then. I think the only I could commend is Charlie Hodge. He loved Elvis so much and I wondered if he ever tried making bucks in the name of Elvis after Elvis' death. But it doesn't matter, he's so loyal to Elvis.
Georgia Morena charlie made, money off elvis as well... selling many pieces of jewelery given to him to hold onto by elvis... as many others have done as well...

It would have been wonderful for Elvis and Ginger to have gotten married and had children.
I feel bad for anyone who struggles with weight problems in our culture-“being fat” is almost the worst sin you could commit in America. Elvis had many health problems, as Sally Hoedel, researches and documents in her book, Elvis: Destined to Die Young. I think it was a combination of lifestyle, health issues, medications, cortisone, and a hectic schedule that caused him to age prematurely in many ways. He had many illnesses that elderly people get: glaucoma, arthritis, hypertension, as well as inherited problems. But none of this diminishes all that Elvis accomplished in his life, the fact that he changed music/culture forever and THAT VOICE, which was a gift of God, never failed and it was beautiful and blessed us beyond measure.
I hope these two meet in heaven again ❤️🥺

Without drugs, Elvis and Ginger would have made a wonderful couple and aged beautifully together. She is the most naturally beautiful of the three women. It's good to know that Ginger was with Elvis in his last year.

This makes me angry. People still love Elvis, so opening Graceland wasn’t such a bad idea. Everyone wanted something from Elvis, and he was always generous with Priscilla. Following his death, his father was named the executor of his estate and Lisa Marie, the sole heir. Vernon’s will named Priscilla as executor as Lisa Marie’s mother because she was a minor. She became charged with investing Elvis’ money upon discovering the estate was in financial straits and basically broke. Priscilla did what she had to do to save his legacy. There wasn’t much left for Lisa but a lot of debt. Everything was to provide for their only child. Lisa Marie was the love of their lives and they remained close friends and admittedly said they would always love each other. That special connection bonded them forever. He knew Priscilla would do the right thing concerning their daughter. Priscilla had to rescue the finances. She didn’t just “get it all.” She doesn’t oversee it now. Priscilla has done well for herself and lives a comfortable life. Lisa Marie took ownership at a certain age. Priscilla could have reconciled with Elvis but she didn’t. They were better friends and shared love of their daughter.
She was the mother of his only child. Lisa Marie gets the funds.

Elvis was a very smart and intuitive man so instead of aiming your jealous and biased comments at the wrong person give him credit for his choice in woman. Ginger was beautiful good and well brought girl.. Even though young at that time Ginger still cared a great deal and enough not to feed him to the vultures like a whole bunch of others who did..
I've decided to write my piece for whatever it's worth and to give Ginger credit for being who she was and still IS.. A beautiful person from the inside out Ginger won the King's trust and heart ;) Its her time to shine now and your light of envy cannot dim that.
This absolutely classy lady certainly showed a lot of spunk which Elvis must've loved her for it, and despite whatever arguments they might've had like any other normal couple in love do, It wasn't easy for her even though she cared. Her facial expressions in many photos with Elvis are a dead giveaway and so is her body language. Being an Elvis GF was a tough job and one especially so young WAS even harder. Moreover whether you care to accept or admit , it was Elvis who fell real hard this time.. fact not opinion, and was all set to marry for a second time. And unlike his first marriage where it was doomed from the word "go" this time he was verrry sure and under no pressure unlike the first.
Ginger's book makes for great reading where she busts many myths written about Elvis and lays to rest many lies that have been repeated very convienently for the past years. Not defending herself made it even worse and folks believeed it all. Surprisingly I never did since I always wanted to hear her side of the story. . THANK YOU Ginger I believe you simply 'cause you didn't write a book when you were hounded to so but instead waited nearly 37 years to tell YOUR side of the story.. 37 years, whew!!!!
With the same refinement that drew Elvis to her and kept him on his toes Ginger writes about their relationship. Elvis all set to marry even introduces her as his 'fiancee' (a thing he'd never done before ) which spoke volumes of his love for her. He even spoke to his father saying that he wanted a son with Ginger and Kathy Westmoreland testifies to the fact that Elvis was crazy about Ginger and so did Priscilla who said the same at the funeral ;)
Ginger was good for Elvis simply because of who she is; a down-to- earth modest and loving girl,. She seems the same even today and I'm sure Elvis would've been so proud of her. Almost 37 years later despite repeatedly dismissed by many defends him and the lies and deserves a HUGEEE HUg. I hope she makes tons of cash like those who still DO and for all the wrong reasons too. Whether "an axe to grind or painting a pathetic Elvis based more on envy and jealousy, Ginger instead comes across like a breath of fresh air, and in her 'No Holds Barred' kinda way says it like it actually WAS. I somewhow KNEW Ginger was extra special to Elvis and even though I wish she had written this book sooner I still salute her for finally doing so. Elvis must be smiling where ever he is and so are 'the much awaited fans' and Im not talking about the jealous ones but the honest ones, those are actually his true fans.

I also think that Elvis truly loved Ginger, when I watched the movie '' Elvis and Me, '' I came to see Elvis as a man, and Priscilla as the sufferer, but when I started researching, I saw that Priscilla also messed up with Elvis, began betraying her husband years before finally abandoning him, she used the important dates for them to take revenge on him, used the money he gave her to open a gym for her lover, went to the TV to say he was happy with another men. After Elvis died she returned to use the surname Presley, started to behave as his widow and lives to this day in his shadow. Ginger, who at first I thought I was a profiteer, after much research I saw that she seemed to be sincere and spontaneous with Elvis, after reading that he asked her to marry him, gave a house to her mother, went to the funeral of her grandmother and wanted to take her whole family to travel with them I had no doubt that there really was love. You can see that today Ginger is hardly quoted, she is not quoted because she does not live in Elvis' shadow, she did not use his death to profit, so much so that she only wrote her books years later.

Elvis was a fallible mortal human being and it would be so nice if people would just stop putting him on a pedestal because as he said himself "an image is just an image... it's not the man... it's just an image of what people think you are"... what a heavy burden to carry and he also didn't like being called "The King" because the true king was and IS Jesus Christ whom Elvis was such a believer in our Savior! THAT brings me Comfort! And also knowing one day I will see him again, along with all my other loved ones I so desperately miss...
I wouldn't say he was grossly overweight. He was heavier than his younger years. However, her story changes with each interview. Her mother did or tried to sue the Presley Estate after he died to pay off her mortgage and swimming pool. Ginger made a movie after his life that mirrored Elvis life. The Presley family banned her from Graceland after his funeral.
Love that woman she was not heard from in years and waits almost 40 years later wrote a book the rest of his so called circle wrote books and his body was not even cold
