Just finished my home studio after 2 years of construction ( all myself ) ... I've been watching since your home studio build ... I think I've watched every mix video and studio build/tour video on YT along with all of yours...... I've been researching and staring at consoles for weeks..... I watched a Hybrid set up video last night with a Trident lol..... Now I really want one! Congratulation!
I’ve seen tons videos like this over the years, but this one rocks. Seriously. I think it’s a combination of the authenticity, inspiration, well-paced story and cool music - all around goodness. Not a second was wasted, or rushed. I’m happy for you, man!
@Ariana Masters my wife is is super duper supportive just the same, you guys reminded me of when I brought home my console and yup my wife was on the other end with a smile ALMOST as big as mine lol good stuff you two 💝
Man, having a supportive partner like your wife makes a BIG difference. I'm so glad your wife is always backing you and supporting you and your ideas so you both as a family can grow together.
Dude!!! This video is flipping epic! I love this. And I can confirm through experience that a supportive wife makes all the difference! I love following along on your journey. Thanks for being willing to take the risk, man. Let's goooo!
Definitely, a supporting and beautiful wife makes all the difference in adulthood... and parents make all the difference in childhood. I'm not bitter, but things don't go someone's way always, no matter the effort. My family lived in a flat, so hard to play instruments there, I managed to get a rehearsal space, but my dad (a musician too) died early, and my stepdad didn't have a place for my (and my dads) instruments, so they live (or should I say collect dust) in an overfilled garage! And forget about me going to any of the music schools I was drooling for since I was a youngster. There wasn't the money, nor the "moving" possibility. Even now, I'm 44, and instead of having had a career in music, I have worked as a chef for some years, and then almost a decade working as a nurse assistant at an elderly home, up to the point of getting chronically sick, depressed, and now disabled! Still, I have hopes! and won't give up! And I cherish those who have the opportunity and take it, making something fruitful out of it. The worst is having all the opportunities and don't go for them. I congratulate the Masters for their hard work and great results. :)
The clip that cuts from your desk to your son just made me instantly tear up. Being an artist in Nashville myself, watching this video was such a boost of inspiration and encouragement I really needed. Thank you for all that you do, man. It’s so special and needed.
I don't comment or like videos much but there's something so inspiring and magical about seeing good things happen to good people. So stoked for you and the channel, i've learned so much from watching these videos, about production, gear, technique...but most of all I learned that working hard can make your dreams come true.
Just a very small contribution to ALL the videos and work you put into this channel, this content and your dream. It has helped me make some of my own music and audio decisions! MIX ON MAN!
You are a huge inspiration to many of us. It is so nice to see you get the products you've always wanted, and seeing the process of the work paying off. I also have to add that it is great how supportive your wife is over you and your music. Helping you carry the console and placing it in the desk, and she looked just as happy as you were. I had an ex (notice I said ex) who basically told me that I needed to give up music if I was going to be with her. What you need is someone supporting your dream, your reason in life, and that is what stood out to me here. Keep on going man!
I remember thinking a few years ago, this guy might have something, but currently it's not really my speed. Didn't subscribe then. Before I knew it, your epic home tour vids came out and I was all about that. Was building my own at the time, and your content was golden. I thought, damn, he made it. Big congratulations on your journey thus far, it's not over man! Thanks for giving us an inspiring message back. Keep moving up!
Man, I kind of got emotional watching this, especially when your kiddo was just sitting there in your chair while you and Ariana placed the console into the desk. I could just feel for you that this was such a cool, affirming, full-circle kind of moment in so many ways. I started watching your channel back when you only had like 5 videos released, and then I stopped my music production hobby for a couple of years. It's so cool to revisit your channel and see what you've made of it. Keep it up, brother, and may God continue to bless you and your family.
Sure be a blessing to win that desk and bring my Tennessee heritage to Boise where I live now. So happy for you. Been following you for long time love your journey. One day maybe I tour your studio when I’m visiting my fam in Knoxville. for my channel.
Thank you! Your family has been so kind and generous to us. We love you guys. Also let it be known that NOBODY MAKES A DESK THAT IS MORE MASTERFUL THAN DANGERFOX.
I only do voiceover in my home studio, and what I have is very modest. What you have is one very high end studio. It's amazing how far you've come, along with great support from your wife and child. The fact that she'd help carry that big console up the stairs shows how supportive she is of your dream. You're still young and can do so many things. Make it happen. Make great music. Make it all count! I'll still be plugging along here in my modest little studio, recording commercials for radio and TV, training videos and narrating audio books. But I'm enjoying the dream, too. Thanks so much for the video!
I just love videos like this. The 1st time your channel came up, I was a skeptic as there are tons of "mixing" / "sound engineers" coming up on youtube left and right but it wasnt their job professionally at that time. But I subscribed and enjoy it. At times when this kind of life where youll have to gamble everything you have to run a studio for your work, and sometimes work isnt there, channels like yours entertains me just to give a push and be reminded that this is the life we chose. I love it. It might be just another gear for some, but I somehow understand what these gears sometimes means for us. and its value is more than what it will do to our workflow but a milestone in our life. I'm so happy for you man!!
Congrats man! The console kicks ass, but it's truly just a symbol of your hard work and dedication to your journey. I was a really early subscriber and it was your authenticity that kept me engaged. Glad to see such a great dude hit this milestone. Onward and upward!
Living the dream you worked hard for man! Was one of your first 100 Subs. The way you’ve grown has been amazing to see and VERY deserved! Thank you for the videos/ content man!
I was on TH-cam around the time you started looking for studio building and how to do it. I remember there not being that many so I got excited when I finally got something new on my TH-cam page ever sense then I've been watching your videos and they've inspired me to go father with this whole recording thing and push my self to make more music. thank you
This is massive. You have been a huge inspiration for me to get myself rolling working with music creation. I didn’t realize that I had started watching at your initial ramp up with your first home studio build. You deserve where this has taken you and you definitely deserve this console. Congratulations Andrew.
I'm so so happy for you...I don't know you but I watched a bunch of your videos and honestly, I felt like I know you already, maybe because you have a so genuine attitude about what you do, congrats !! and thanks a lot for your contribution to all of us. You deserve it!
Man, I still flabbergated and so happy for you, your wife and kid. Great choices, great challenges, great histories to be told and now such a great console. Hope and wish you all very very pleasant and productive moments with the new piece of art Trident 68. My dear friend from TH-cam videos, drummer, interviewer and video maker... go for it. Always go to your goals. All the best from Brazil.
CONGRATS on the new level; we gradually build and grow. Like you I started out with a simple PC with a Sound Blaster sound card, Cakewalk, a Yamaha DJX keyboard/Midi Controller, an Alesis NanoComp, a simple microphone along with some computer speakers; today I have “two” studios (two workstations in one room - a production desk and a mixing/mastering desk). Both studios/desks are at the caliber that I can record and mix like any project studio. The race is not for the swift; we build and grow as we go. I don’t make any money from my studios but I enjoy them and as it is they don’t cost me anything but my time and electricity. Thanks for sticking with it and providing entertainment and learning value to those of us that watch… Also thanks for the gear lust which adds to my gear acquisition syndrome (GAS).👍🏽
Dude! We're all so happy for you! Life is amazing when you just go for it and are willing to believe in yourself first. Others will get on board once they see you face the inevitable obstacles with a positive outlook and come out the other side victorious... Continue to inspire!
It was special to see this video as I'm currently studying music technology in college, and that is the exact board we are learning on in our studio. I love it. I've been a fan of your channel for years and love everything that you do!
Brother this video gave me chills! You totally deserve this man, shoot I've learned so so much from your channel! That setup is absolutely beautiful! Congratulations to yall!
I've been watching you since that first studio build Andrew - congrats on your journey and I wish you many continued years of great success!! It has been a pleasure to watch your channel grow and see the quality of your content improve. Keep those epic studio tours coming ;)
I’m absolutely in love with your story, Andrew! I just visited EastWest in LA last week, and I’ll tell you, those rooms literally took my breath away. It’s very motivating watching you on your journey. Cheers, and congrats on the Trident!
I think the first video I saw from you was that studio build and I have just never stopped since. Your EPIC Home studio tours has been so educational and informative and just simply fun to watch i think those are the only 1 hours videos I can just sit and watch and enjoy thoroughly. Thanks for sharing your journey with us .
I love your story! I started my musical journey back in 1991 working as an intern at Chung King Studios in lower Manhattan (NYC). It was the first time I ever touched large format consoles (NEVE VR's). The outboard gear and the Mic collection was insane to say the least. I had my first real introduction to Midi and the newly released Sonic Solutions which seemed light years ahead at that time. What I remember most during those years was the tactile feel of faders, knobs, buttons and transports. It felt so artistic and immersive. Little by little I began building up my own personal studio so I could venture out on my own. 30 years later I am happy to say that I was able to keep the dream alive and continue producing and engineering music. You are doing a fantastic job spreading your wealth of knowledge to aspiring engineers/producers as well as veterans like me. We are a small but respectable community, and we can all learn from one another. Keep up the great work!
Congratulations Andrew! I’ve not been here since the beginning of the channel, but I’ve been watching a while. It’s so cool to see you hit this huge milestone. All tge best man😊
I've been following for a while and I'm glad to see a video of you talking about your story, music connects us all and it feels like a family. Happy for your journey, cheers man.
Great video Andrew. This is one of my favorite videos you've done for your channel. You've worked hard and deserve all the success coming your way. I was in the group that got exposed to your build videos in the other house, and right then I could tell you were one of the ones committed to both the process of recording and the ability to tell an informed story. Congrats and thank you. ~storm
Man, seriously one of the best videos you have done. I was looking to go down the journey you did back in 2002. I took a different path as I am a Software Engineer today. But I still love the music and recording process. I still remember reaching out to Al Schmitt on and online forum and him inviting me down to Capitol Records where he pretty much lived. Get the tour of those historic studios was amazing and I also got a tour of The Village studios. So cool that you had that journey and now have the ability to direct your own path.
You go brother, this is beautiful. The work you put in, all the ups and downs, it all positions you in a place near enough the goal you had in mind when you started out. I'm sure you find yourself in this space, and other work situations these days and think to yourself, damn... i dreamt of being here/doing this x amount of years ago. I'm currently cultivating a path for myself too, a few of us are too.. and thanks to videos like this from you and other content creators we get to see your journey come to a point that motivates us in ways you could only imagine sir. Keep. It. Going.
Man I’ve been watching you for a while now and the inspiration continues to grow! Congrats to you and your hard work! Just another example of going for it and thinking of nothing else! Thank you for all that you do on here
Congrats and I know the feeling. 😄 When I got me API, I just sat and stared at it for a while. You don't have to have a console to record and produce great music, but there's nothing like one when you do. Can't wait to see more on the Trident. It was a toss up at the time between the API Box 8 and the Trident for me so very interested to get your take.
Congratulations! Not only for your studio but for your life man. You have a beautiful family and a great place to stay. And it looks like life treats you well. You have an amazing time ahead of you. Enjoy life at its fullest and I really REALLY wish you godspeed and all the best wind in the sail for you. Best regards Thomas
I’m only half way through the video so far am I’m getting goosebumps. Very excited to watch the rest and see what console you bought Andrew!! Maybe one day I’ll get lucky as well and a Neve Genesys Black will arrive at my door!! Ok now to finish the video lol
Andrew, this video completely blew me away....what a dream and seeing it come to fruition...congrats bro! Well deserved. Love what you've done and the expose that your channel has done for so many. You've inspired me to keep pushing for the best. One day I'll have a great studio in my home as well. 🙏🤞👆
Thank you!!! 🙏🏼 I've worked as an audio engineer and producer for some local music companies. Now I'm in the middle of building my own home studio ALONE, and we all know how tiring and consuming it is. Your videos have always helped me a lot throughout. And now after watching this video, feels so comforting and really brought tears to my eyes. Thank you Andrew, your journey inspired me a lot, makes me feel we're not ALONE and it's all worth it. Always gonna be grateful to you. Love from India.🇮🇳❤️
Congrats Andrew! Been following for a few years and it's awesome to see you achieving all that you dreamt. Here's to the next challenge and i'm excited to be following along to experience it with you :-)
This is very inspiring Andrew! I have been a musician since I was 12-13 yrs old (I will be 56 this year), have played in countless bands, worked at various music venues up and down the Eastern Seaboard, worked in a small studio in Myrtle Beach in the early 90's, and have been able to meet my childhood bass heroes , become friends with them, and share the same stage with them as well. In the past 3 years I have focused more on mixing and producing from my very modest home studio. I have been digging in deep. learning, experimenting, and mixing on a weekly, if not daily, basis in order to realize the goals I have in mind. Thank you for your hard work at sharing your experiences with all of us. So happy to see you at your new desk!!!!
I've been watching you since you were at around 20k subscribers and I couldn't be more happy for you. Very well deserved. Your passion and curiosity when speaking with others in the industry has come through in every video. Your journey has truly been inspirational, so thanks! The best is yet to come.
Great video man! I’ve been following your channel from the beginning! From South America! And I think this is one of the best most inspiring video you have produced so far on this TH-cam series! I’m very happy for you and your family! I’m a dad myself and I can relate with lots of the aspects of your journey! I wish you all the best and surely God will keep blessing you and your ones..!!! Congrats!
Life is crazy, make it count. Thank you for supporting the channel! What do you think of this type of video??

I think we are going to need a lot of Trident content in the near future
You put out all the content I like... gear, studio tours.... gear and studio tours.... and everything related.
I AM SO PROUD OF YOU, your career and all of your amazing videos (especially this one). You are an inspiration for me and Jack
You guys are mine, thank you for always supporting me, and the soups.
Such a wholesome family. ♥️
@@Funkybassuk Thank you :)
@@TN48005 Thank you!

Thank you very much!
In this case, like, lit-er-al-ly, supportive. Some couples (cough) break down moving a dresser between rooms. That desk? Up those stairs?? Respect!
AFREE good pint there!
Freaking awesome, dude! Stoked for you, been awesome watching this journey :)
You and your whole family did an amazing job.
Your family is beautiful man, congratulations. Hard work always pays off!
Dude!!! This video is flipping epic! I love this. And I can confirm through experience that a supportive wife makes all the difference! I love following along on your journey. Thanks for being willing to take the risk, man. Let's goooo!
Appreciate you Beejay!
Thank you :)
For me as well
AGREE. We need to be real Ash...s if we don't vry seeing the wife carring that and the KID... MAN YOU REALLY MADE IT!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS !!!! Watching your vids has always been an inspiration. I think this one just topped all the others. Dream big or go home!

Congrats and thank you. ~storm
Thank you, Andrew, for your amazing, educational, fun, and inspiring videos!
Thanks!
Keep. It. Going.
The way you kept drooling on Consoles of Friends you visited,i somehow guessed you would've ended-up here....🔉
Hey mate. Congrats. This made me very happy for you. Enjoy!
So much heart! Super inspiring Andrew, thank you and your awesomely supportive wife.
Thank you!
Congratulations, Andrew & Family! Keep up the great work!
Man I’ve been watching you for a while now and the inspiration continues to grow! Congrats to you and your hard work! Just another example of going for it and thinking of nothing else! Thank you for all that you do on here
I appreciate that!
Man! Congrats!! We all love your videos! I'm so glad for you! Big hug from Mexico!
Best regards
Thomas

I've worked as an audio engineer and producer for some local music companies.

That looks pretty sick
