Watson was genuinely just a hateful character for absolutely no reason. And what was the purpose of her crimes.... She was a joke with 0 character development unlike Doggett whose character went from being one of the most hated to one of the most adored characters

As far as her back story she was just at the wrong place at the wrong time

That's exactly what it was.. she was so hateful it was pitiful. She claimed they were stealing culture... Which isn't even possible. Especially with something like dream girls which was a critically acclaimed movie... I honestly hated Watson more often then not. She was by far the most intentionally racist character on the show
