Jason, so good to know that diamonds are sometimes set in steel!! I’ve had a large ring for some time now and it has many tiny set diamonds. It must be old because it took me a long time to clean it, and it still needs more cleaning! I’ve taken it to jewelers because it seemed to test as gold, but I just wasn’t sure and I hate to do that kind of testing. They couldn’t tell me what the metal was until I found one with one of those X-ray machines. The jeweler said the metal tests as iron. ?? It looks like it might have had a gold wash at one time. Not sure. And it’s in 3 bands that are pin set together! It’s one of the pieces I’m saving until my knowledge grows, or until you are ready to do video calls.
