I see you and just want to be your friend because I know I've lost loads since my seizures have started. Damn neurological systems going haywire! I honestly don't know how you keep going, my Keppra keeps me constantly dazed and confused. Keep on keeping on and hopefully, we can all get through this!

Bless your heart, new sub here. This came up in my suggested vids. I hate you have to go through this. Hurts my heart for you. I have a good friend that has them quite often. Once we were in a restaurant, she had a seizure and bless her heart after the seizure passed, she threw up all in the resteraunt. She was so embarrassed and in tears. I told her not to worry, that those ppl didn't know her and she couldn't help it. I wont ever forget that day. I'd seen her have them several times, but I cant imagine how she felt when that happened. Shes on meds, but they don't always do the job, apparently shes not alone. Prayers for you pretty girl!

  • @jtdamomma

I think the hiccuping is caused by the interruption of normal nerve function in the diaphragm( a muscle), when the seizure hits. You also don't always breathe well during your seizures, causing your diaphragm to work a marathon trying to keep up with your breathing, or lack there of, when it's a bad seizure. It's still getting scattered nerve pulses from the brain, causing the hiccups(spasms). It's just trying to get back in sync. I know Canada is strict with cannabis, but CBD that is the non-psychoactive product of cannabis is proven to help with seizures, and it doesn't make you drowsy or groggy at all. I imagine you've tried it, but I thought I'd mention it, just in case. I don't look forward to your seizures, but I do look forward to your videos. You are educating people on what an epileptic lifestyle is like. Walk a mile in another's shoes. Your message NEEDS to be heard, learned, and used to educate people. Love ya girl.

This is a really weird question, but during a seizure you always lay on your right side. Even in the car you lean on your right side. Does laying on your other side (your left) make a difference? I know when I was pregnant, I was told by my doctor to sleep on my left side. By doing so, for some reason, it helps with digestion, circulation and helps your brain to filter out waste. You may want to test it.

Scary to have one in the car like that. We're always a little more on edge when our daughter has a seizure in her stander or wheelchair, especially while we're moving in the van. We haven't been able to record one in the van yet, but we did upload a video of one in her stander. I'm just worried that she'll hit her arms on one of the hard plastic or metal parts, and break a bone since she has soft bones anyway. I guess you have strong bones, though, so it's less of a worry. But I'm sure it's more stressful for your mom!

Something that helps me with nausea I learned from dr Phil that he told kids... if you breathe through your nose only it prevents air going over the trigger and you swallowing for a bit to get your tummy to settle. Just thought I would share. Any way mom can keep some of those packs of break bags that you pop them then they are nice and cold in the car for your seizures there? You can get a box of them I think from Walgreens etc. I know the cold on the back of the neck helps and that’s a way while out you could do it. They are small so they could go in someone’s purse even. One other breathing technique I love is smell the roses blow out the birthday candles. Helps to calm the system down. Just throwing it out there. Hang in there girl! Doing so awesome! 🌸✌️💜

I am a mother of a daughter who was diagnosed at the age of 14 with seizures, she only has grand mal seizures and they are very aggressive and taxing on her body, she goes through the whole gambit of thrashing, foaming, clamping down, urinating on herself and vomiting. She would not have the ability to record or monitor her seizure activity because she is totally unconscious when the seizure happens and her body doesn’t give her any warning of its oncoming. She normally has two seizures back to back, she is currently on lamictal and keppra to control her seizures. The medication is what is allowing her to live a normal life. She’s an awesome dancer but unfortunately because of her illness she had to leave American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York where she majored in Dance Theater in 2018. She doesn’t drive but is hoping to do so some day. She has been seizure free for almost two years. She’s 22 now and working, I pray for her safety everyday while she’s dealing with this disability and I pray that you find relief from your condition as well🙏🏾

Hey Ang! Keep pushing and being so incredible. I mean no disrespect when I say this, it comes out of being concerned and how much your veiwers care about you but is there a possibility on you making a video about your medical history? Treatments/Meds/Surgeries youve had? What things trigger your seizures and what helps reduce them medically and non medically? I always see wonderful comments with valuable advice like implants and other forms of helping. Im sure we would love to hear you talk about it to understand more and learn. @@valleybliss I have seizures too but mine are from neuroborelliosis and CBD doesn't help me much, but high amounts of THC do! It's really odd.. I would love to see more studies done on exactly how and why cannabis helps stops seizures in some people but not others. I'm that person who's always asking why.. drove my parents insane growing up with my "why?" when it came to literally everything. 😅 I want to know WHY it doesn't help everyone! I understand cannabis and cannabinoids pretty well, the only thing I can come up with as to why it works for some and not others has got to be something genetic. We all have an endocannabinoid system.. our bodies were designed with the need to consume cannabinoids. Cannabis has the most cannabinoids of any plant on Earth it certainly couldn't hurt her to continue using CBD oil at the very least simply as a daily supplement, sort of like how people take fish oil every day for the Omega-3s. But whyyyy didn't it help her seizures?! I've seen it work miracles in some, have absolutely no affect on others and I need to know why 😄

ruth rua I think she was questioning your comment that she (or anyone) could swallow their tongue. That myth has been disproven years and years ago...even before the internet was discovered. A seizure sufferer could bite their tongue; this is very common. But nobody can swallow their own tongue. (I looked this up, but I haven't read the article): www.healthline.com/health/swallowing-tongue

Hey Ang so I’m watching some of your old videos and noticed something in this one. In the first seizure your mom scratched your left palm and your face pulling stopped. Did that really happen? There are pressure points all over our bodies that are known to get our attention. Could scratching your palms be a possible way to seize the seizure? Would be cool 😎

Okay I don't know you and I don't know what you're going through. I do know what it's like to be the boy that's in the backseat. I am now 63 years old and my mother had epilepsy, even now when I hear a certain sound like my mother used to make when she was having a seizure it affects me in a way I don't know how to describe. You really need to help him with what's happening! Please 🥺

The only aura I have is what I can only describe as an inverted hiccup. My breath will hitch on inhale. It has something to do with my diaphram contracting. I have tonic clonic seizures only, and when I have this aura (about 1/3 of the time) it starts hours before. I explained this to two neurologists and they both said, "huh" and looked so confused. It's an extremely rare aura I guess. They don't make any sound. And they are minutes apart. It's so weird. They know nothing about the brain. I get so discouraged.
