Awesome Dave 😂 They do work great for riding around the yard but they will kind of struggle going up hills and on rutted out trails. People are always selling them on Facebook marketplace and sometimes you can catch a good deal. Have fun!
I don’t think your boy went max speed. I bought a used one for my 7yr old and it can do close to 40mph with me on it and I’m 5’10 170lbs. Had to set the governor halfway to about 20mph to be more safe. I also changed the front sprocket for more torque. So far I think it’s been great and has definitely exceeded my expectations.
I had a 2018 model that thing did 44mph. I'm 180lbs, bad parts is stopping isn't a thing and when you tried to stop fast the front went zig zag down the road I assume since it was top heavy.

HADI THE KING This would be fine for you for a couple years. If your budget isn’t much higher then some thing around this will be your only choice. If you’re lightweight and aren’t going hillclimbing with it then you would be good to go!
I road on the same cc four wheeler but it’s kinda for like 12 year olds with my cousin and it felt like we were flying we were doing 40 which is the top speed for it
mom_and_dad_plus_us I received my ATVs yesterday. Assembly was easy and they cranked right away. The only things I noticed that I need to do is go with a larger throttle lever and widen the space between the rear tires. They could use some more torque but we’ll get the kids good and trained up before we head down that path.
@@nathanrybn these little machines are beasts. I watched a few videos about certain mods to do to make them safer and stronger. In my opinion they do not need those mods. We ride the trails and fields and they do fine. They could use a little more torque, but we just give it more gas and it pulls through the hills. I did have a chain tensioner break within the first few hours but it was easy enough to replace. One did have headlight solder break but we don’t ride at night and it would be easy enough to fix if I had a soldering iron at home. The batteries are still good and they crank right up. We are very happy with the purchase of 2 for half the price of a Japanese 4 wheeler. Just a side note, I’m about 180 pounds and they pull me just fine.
We did 32 mph, installed ngk spark plug, 10W 40 oil, not that crap it comes with, and a high flow air. Last but not least advanced the timing on the carb a half turn.

mom_and_dad_plus_us a lot more potential, you have actual 125cc, the 125D is only 107cc, and max hp 5.02 with 4.8 tq. My guess is your Yamaha could do a lot more, a lot longer
@@adventurer4188 The Coolster was great for when we were at our house. We have 2 acres and the yard is flat and him and his sister can ride around everywhere. But we own a cabin with 24 acres and we have four wheeler trails everywhere. The Coolster did OK on them but not great. It wasn’t very sturdy and wanted to tip a lot. So we got him the Yamaha and it is much much better. It’s still a little big for him but he is still growing fast lol!

@@momanddadplusus yeah, she ran through everything until I kept having to change the silinoid and the chain kept falling off. Problems kept building so i gave it to a friend of mine and got a 1999 honda trx400ex sportrax and put a 550 in it and I've had it for almost 3 years now and it runs great!
Not sure why they would make a kids ATV go 45 mph but cool for you. Sounds like a lot of lawsuits just waiting to happen if you ask me. Maybe you use special gas!
@@momanddadplusus These ATVs go fast. You can easily turn out 35-40 on that ATV specifically. Just turn the throttle screw or remove the CVT spacer (unless you have manual gears). Can't jump it if you're only going 22!
Is yours Automatic or Semi-auto? I ordered the automatic for my wife (she’s like 5’ tall and has no experience) to learn on but I was under the impression they got up to around 40mph. I’m afraid if it gets here and only goes 20 she’ll be bored in a few days. (Also, did you take out the governor screw?)

Our coleman 125 does 28 pretty much the same quad thats with me on it im 195 libs probably do 30 32 with my 7 year old
