Coleman AT125-EX TOP SPEED RUN, how fast will this mini-quad go?

- While I was looking around on the internet, I had noticed that there wasn’t a lot of information on how fast these Coleman ATV’s can go. In fact, a simple google search for the top speed and it gives you a few rough estimates on how fast a a 110cc/125cc mini atv COULD go, but the numbers just seemed too low. So I had to figure this out for myself. I took the Coleman AT125-EX down to a flat backroad with no traffic, and got what is in my opinion an impressive speed for this little thing, 36MPH! Now, that may not sound all that fast but take into consideration that on the trails, this thing feels like a tiny rocket. I definitely want to get my hands on some more Coleman vehicles as they perform pretty well for the amount of money you spend for them!

Thank you, I will definitely get one for my 11 year old son.
Right on! I hope you can enjoy it as much as we have with ours.
Thinking about getting one for my Nephew thanks for the video!
@@dstrong11 It's been a great machine for me so far! Just make sure to check everything is tight on them if you buy them pre-assembled from the store.
Am impressed
As was I! Fairly quick for such a small bike.
Hello Brayden can you please get a massimo buck 250?
Great video
Thanks!
did you adjust idle at all or did you just turn the throttle screw?
We had to adjust the idle out of the box as it was idled a little high from the factory. I have it turned down in the summertime and turn it back up slightly in the winter to make starting & warming it up a bit easier.
How much oil did you add in it when you first got it
@@haydenhinkle3422 After initial assembly it took a full quart of oil. I did a 350km break-in oil change, and proceeded to change the oil every 600-ish kilometers after that. I've never noticed it burning any oil between maintenance periods so I've never had to top it off between oil changes.
I see your is in KM my 6yo son has the same ATV but his is in MPH. did yours come in KM? also do you know how to turn the headlights off? we are in Ontario Canada as well.
Yes, mine came set to KM by default. As for the headlights, I’m not sure. As far as I know they’re just turned on all the time if the key is on, and if you didn’t want them on just unplug them? I personally like that the lights are on all the time, it looks good and they’re plenty bright at night.
Is this well suited for your 6 year old? I'm seriously considering getting one for my daughter, who is 6.
@@rdatkins1 this little quad is driven fairly hard by myself and my mother on a daily basis, and I mean driven HARD. It’s withstood everything we’ve put it through so far. Almost 900kms on it now. Nothing broken. Have had to check and tighten some bolts here and there but been perfect otherwise.
@@rdatkins1 yes its a great first ATV.
33 mph
What’s the heaviest rider that’s driven this. Looking at buying one for my kids but I wanna ride it here and there. I’m 200lb
I’ve had one of my buddies drive it that weighs in at around 215lbs and it seemed like it was doing fine. The bike squats a little bit, but we also currently have the rear suspension on the softest setting. You can adjust it to make it stiffer in the front or rear, depending on your liking.
@@canadiantrailatv I'm 235 and got my kids one up to 50... but then it slowed a bit. Lol.
@@Cactus-Capital lol
I want to know where to buy on this fast also how many miles an hour can it go
I've gotten it to go 36mph stock. You can find these through some small local ATV dealers or from Tractor Supply directly. Great little machines!
You in canada?
Yep
@@canadiantrailatv anywhere near Kingston, Ontario?
@@BallDogBoi I’m a few hours out from Kingston actually
@@canadiantrailatv No way! Collab?
@@BallDogBoi uh, tbh I didn’t think I’d be asked that lol. If you have Instagram or Tiktok we can communicate further? Both are @canadiantrailatc
This is what quad I have but my sisters crashed it now my dad is getting it fix
I’m sorry to hear that, best of luck with getting it up and running again!
I weigh 90 pounds and mine only goes around 15 miles per hour would you be able to help see what is wrong
Sure! If you can dm me @canadiantrailatv I would be more than happy to try and help you resolve it!
Yes I know when you press the throttle their is a screw on it and you can unscrew it and it go’s faster
I think I'll get one of these.
Depending on what you’re wanting an atv for, definitely worth the money!
@@canadiantrailatv just for minor playing around.
@@anthonyholmes71 Then it should serve you well.
Stock sprocket? Just picked up two.
Yep, everything is stock.
@@canadiantrailatv time for mods! I had a couple Coleman mini bikes and they do great in trails!
@@M074503 I bought a CT200U-EX minibike a little over 2 years ago now, and tbh I’ve beat the snot out of that thing stock and it’s still running great.
I'm dead ass right now this is my quad lmao has the exact same scratch in the front
Bought the machine brand new...
Nice vid fam, with this video, was everything stock ? That’s kind of fast for a stock atv
Yes, it’s completely stock.
I got my utility version of that going over 50 and it's not even wide open I think that can definitely go faster
Probably could. If you try it out some time, let me know what you top out at.
Is it clutch
Automatic
my son went like 60 kmh.
They’re pretty quick for such a small atv.
I have the 2021 version of this quad and it’s rapid
Nice! let me know how everything goes with it, we're coming up on 1000km on ours. Still running strong.
50 km had one for my gran kids
@@alvinamaracle They work pretty good for the little ones. Anytime I have to babysit I throw em on the Coleman & limit the throttle accordingly. It's always a hit.
50 km
My Chinese x pro 110cc atv does almost 40 mph!
Nice!
Is it mph or kmh?
Our unit is in km/h.
Holyshit nothing special in my 500 Foreman
Lmao
Good one 😂
Is the governor removed on it?
As far as I know the bike is only governed by the throttle screw, which has been backed out all the way. It seems to me like it revs up all the way and even if it was governed further I wouldn’t want to have it revving out any more than it is.
@@canadiantrailatv oh
I'm thinking about buying this for my son but wondering what the weight limit on it is. Can I ask how much you weigh?
I weigh 130lbs and this atv performs just fine with someone of my size on it. The owner’s manual that came with this four wheeler shows the max weight rating at around 170lbs.
My atv 70km
It's that miles
58km/h or 36mph
Bought one mine does about 31 wide open
@@212poncho You may need to back the throttle screw out further in order to squeeze another few miles out of it.
Those actually dont look bad
Ikr!
These things are garbage I got one and it broke on the first tank of fuel. Luckily my daughter wasn't hurt.
that’s not good at all. How did it break?
@@canadiantrailatv she was literally riding on a gravel path and the lower ball joint just came apart. Luckily she was only going 10mph when it happened cuz it almost shot her over the handlebars.
@@420general oh wow, yikes! I have heard about ball joint problems with the AT125-UT a handful of times now, I guess it’s something Coleman should be looking into.
@@canadiantrailatv yeah check your castle nuts and cotter pins
@@420general I have been checking every nut, bolt & clip on the quad fairly often since new to ensure that it would last, and so far so good we’re going on almost 600kms on the little quad now with only very minor issues.
