great job on making bloodmage ascendancy work with crossbows, i was thinking that the "upfront cost" of bolts would work nicely for bloodmages, and you managed to integrate it naturally while also benefiting from bleed. good job on the build!
While Quinn played HC SSF and didnt have the resources, what you showing is pretty much the PoE version of "Dont be poor, just invest 1mio Dollar into XYZ Stock and generate passiv income"
SSF with the current state of crafting in POE2 is literally like shooting oneself in the foot. Hence, why a lot of people lean more towards achievable builds in SSF. Quin's build in theory is good, but is horrible in an SSF environment due to lack of deterministic crafting. The thing with bleed in particular, is that it's easily hampered by gear. Unlike a normal build which can be scaled by either damage and/or cast/attack speed investment, but bleed on the otherhand needs twice as much hit damage for it to even feel good. It's not like in POE1 where there's an abundance of nodes and gear choices , not to mention pseudo-deterministic crafting to scale it
@@Olvrin Not exactly expensive, have seen wisdom gloves for as little as 2-3div that sell, and a morior life ele is like 1div. Ingenuity is nice but def not needed. Could easily put this together as a starting point for 5-6div. Def not something you would league start with or play ssf with though.
I switched to this build at level 54. The only thing I have that’s recommended is the HoWa gloves. I have a crossbow that has plus 5 to projectiles and 80 some elemental damage. Clear speed is ok but the boss damage is fucking sick. My bleeds aren’t procking but they will once I fill in the pieces and get all the nodes. This build on a budget is definitely viable. I’m 2 shotting every boss on the second play through. It’s pretty nutty.
Nice build, I would assume you can do full build on a budget of 10 div. Sadly only got 5 div atm :(, but that mainly because console lack of loot filter slows me down alot. I wouldnt be suprised if I left many raw div on the ground at this point. When the best looting avenue for me is temple of chaos because it is immposible to miss the loot at end is telling. Cant wait for the nexy patch.
I made a build like that too, but included Ignite, bleed, poison, freeze and shock. Explosive Shot + Plasma Blast. With the heralds and penetration.... it's a lot of damage and very fun to play.

Do elemental ailment magnitudes (such as chill/ignite magnitude) apply to bleed magnitude? Or does Blood Barbs only count elemental damage increases/reductions? Or is it simply that all Elemental damage can apply bleeding, similar to POE1 all damage can chill/shock?
I don't like bleed scaling of damage dealt. It's kind of pointless when you hit for 400k to even have bleed, the damage is negligable by comparison, at this point, isn't it more efficient to simply auto attack?
Yeah this is kinda irrelevant, drop the bleed, stack shock magnitude, apply exposure with orb of storms and just on shot bosses instead of waiting up to 5 sec for the Boss to die.
Am I crazy, or can you only input movement commands during plasma blast when using WASD? I'm a mouse movement user and I keep cancelling my plasma blast channel because I'm trying to move while channeling and the game won't let me, yet I successfully could while trying WASD.
What variant are you looking at? It's not really a good end-game chest, you're sacrificing alot in your chest slot to have that item in when you can get aggravate through other ways, if you're having trouble searching for Megalomaniac, you can go to this page on PoE2DB and look for the specific mod you want on trade poe2db.tw/Megalomaniac#TheMarket
wowee I currently trying this but have gone super broke because of how many div's this take. Each jewel is minimum 1 Div and more for the lego ones. I say to start you need like 25-35 divs not including GG ammy and rings, Then plus what ever the belt sets you back on top of that

I wish more people called out these build videos with how expensive they are. I saw a build few days ago where guy's single ring cost like 3 mirrors with corrupted Ingenuity. I get it's their job to play the game and I only have like 300 hours, but I made 5-6 different tier 15 builds and all their gear combined cost less than 10div
This build comes nowhere near that price point, with that level of investment I had better be doing enough damage to kill pinnacles so hard that it carries over to the next time I fight them. @@graog123 just don't take it. Play without ascendancy nodes until you get to maps and take it only when you get enough crit good enough clearspeed at like level 75+
Let's be honest here. If you attacked constantly and didn't let the bleed run out. Then the actual bleed would be 1% of your damage,. And if you focused on just the none bleed damage, you would be doing more damage, than with this version. Bleed is not in a great place right now.
You still need to consider damage up-time, each plasma blast takes 2 seconds to channel, I get to fully benefit from huge damage multiplier gems like Hourglass which add cooldown to the base skill but I get to offset that by building bleed duration to have consistent up-time. I think bleed is definitely far from perfect in PoE 2 having played nothing but bleed builds in PoE 1 for the last 2 years, however I believe in this case it is actual a net-positive for the build to work around

I love JayTX for his contributions to the bleed archetype and I know the video title here is purposely a bit "provocative", but this build is barely "bleed" and it's not really comparable to Quin's version at all. It's just a gimped version of an Int stacker that uses currency to fit in "bleed". "Bleed" is playable, but "pure Bleed" is basically just shooting yourself in the foot to fulfill a fantasy at the moment.
That's just a big problem with how bleed (And most damaging ailments) work in PoE2. They're based on the hit damage, so the more hit damage you do the better the ailment, but at some point, it's generally just better to not use ailments at all.

Btw most people are not willing but my warrior has 2 div worth of gear and I have beaten every boss in the game now once so idk why people keep saying warrior us so bad. Why not take Gore Spike instead of Crimson Power? Especially as it seems you've gone full evasion judging by your Twitch VODs.

I think galvanic shards use health but explosive shot doesn’t for some reason. This could be why but not sure.

None of them. Just pick a bow and go LA until you're high enough level for explosive shot. At that point you want any dyad with high phys
