Great episode. Cuba is a unique place in the World. Visiting Cuba is a true escape from our culture. Cuban have so little wealth and so much to offer! I felt in love with this Island and its citizen.
very good job you guys are doing out there, honestly, .. i lived and study in Cuba for more than one year, and my sisters live in Guatanamo, and i know it takes more than "a bunch of snapstagram hipsters to repeat cliches" to come out with something so beautiful like this. it amazes me how people cannot see behind the scenes. Havana can be very hard on people to be honest, i am very proud of you guys. Thank you for this episodes. i wish adorama organizes workshops
Good video. I'm Canadian so I've been to Cuba. It's a wonderful place as a photographer. I have many similar shots. Hopefully opening up relations will not negatively impact their culture and values. They are a poor country economically but phenomenally rich in all other aspects.
Nobody shooting film? Man, this place begs for some high contrast velvia, CineStill, and some TX pushed to 3200. 👍🏻😜 Good stuff. Seems like a fun trip.
When I try to share this video on my FB page both on computer and phone the thumbnail will not appear. It shows a generic youtube link with no preview image? Is this a privacy setting? Thanks!
FINALLY! I love the TTL series. Each person's snapchat/ IG story looked amazing when they were out there, I can only imagine what these videos will end up looking like!
I've loved this episode, such a great intro! I hope that the serie is going to tell us more about the people in Cuba or the stories behind these shots... don't want to see cool-cliche pics again and again and again...
Wait! Where are the Cuban photographers? The series is not about that too? The spirit of the previous seasons was precisely to show local photographers producing their work. I honestly hope that this first episode was just a kind of trailer.
I was wondering the same thing! I loved the Japan+HK series because it focused not only on different local photographer, but each one had their own identity and style. "This is where I live. This is how I capture it". This new Cuba Series looks like, "Let's send a few photographers NOT from Cuba and have them wander around", which is actually reminding me more of the Top Photographer competition Adorama did. I loved Top Photographer, but I love it on it's own.
This was a different format we wanted to try out because Cuba is a very special place. Stay tuned to #TTLEurope in the fall where you will get to know a variety of awesome photographers in Europe!
Kind of wish they would showcase the Instagram photographers that maybe aren't so popular, but are also extremely good. I've seen young teenagers whose photos are amazing. These guys on the TTL Cuba had their turn already. Maybe shoot towards a younger generation of photographers. We have a bunch of them here in Cincinnati 🤘
really really nice video! was looking forward to the Cuba series eversince I saw the trailer. What I don't like though is the wooden background when showing the developed pictures. It somehow distracts my eyes, but that might just be me.
Looks like a completely changed series. I saw through the lens as a series that interviewed people that are native to give us a first person perspective on things that no one else could. Not sure how I feel about this different approach but I'm looking forward to it nonetheless.
Do these American photographers understand why Cuba is still where it is? Seems they are just looking for the cool shot which could have been done just in Miami.
Really love this series but I was hoping for a broader range of creatives which could include 'alpahcollective' members but not limited to Sony. Well whoever pays the piper calls the tune...
What's with the bright flash in your face every time the picture changes. It's so annoying. What with the right mind at Adorama thought that it would be a great way to do the video? No wonder after a few flashes.......onto the next video.
“I understand a little bit of the geopolitics”. Sorry, American history books do not read the same on the very same events/topics as history books from other countries. I’m afraid there is a huge chance you do not understand.
I love this series, inspires us just to go out and start shooting !!!

Monthly average salary is $US 23 www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/country_result.jsp?country=Cuba

Maybe there aren't any and can't afford to buy at Adorama.

This series is AMAZING! fucking love it!
So many memories flooding through my mind! Kudos on a brilliant Episode 1 - cannot wait for more!!!! Go Team #TTLCuba! ~ @cubaphoto

That's a great idea and something we have thought about and are definitely looking into for future iterations of TTL!
Yes finally!!
Monaris` camera strap - where can I buy? :)

Awesome!
This is nice! Can't wait for the next ones...

I hope you enjoy it! Just trying something out different we might potentially do more of in the future.
Do these American photographers understand why Cuba is still where it is? Seems they are just looking for the cool shot which could have been done just in Miami.
WOW....this video just makes me want to travel here even more!!!I just need to photograph and experience this culture.
really inspiring
dave is best of them
awesome episode
You know your lens hood is on backwards right?
Hey Adorama, come visit India at the time of Holi (festival). Its the most colourful time of the year.
we have talked about that!
I hope the coming episodes will be better. This doesn't meet up to the TTL standard that I've come to realise.
monaris😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😘
Some nice shots but it almost felt like a Sony commercial.
had to thumbs it down too many damn filters on the photos
new style of #ttl !
FINALLY
Really love this series but I was hoping for a broader range of creatives which could include 'alpahcollective' members but not limited to Sony. Well whoever pays the piper calls the tune...
Please, tell to the first girl how to use correctly the lens hood...
these pics...are so digital guys... thx anyway
ANDY!
dope
Worst episode of this series. Isnt there a Cuban photographer you could talk to? Serioulsy.
