    hahahaha the lady said I'm looking for a boyfriend. Havana the place I was born in 1967 is not the same, it feels like a war is happening right now but still interesting and some kind of beauty remains everywhere not only on the facade of buildings but in the people's heart. Great job guys.

    Cuba is an amazing place. I went on vacation but of course took a couple of cameras with me and even though I wasn't visiting as a photographer on a project I got to bring back so many images with me. It's a vibrant and powerful place to photograph. It's easy to love the place and the people you get to know which is always the best of it all of course.

    Beautiful, and I love the interaction. N ow try this with a Sony A6000 and a 55-210 Sony kit lens. Sony is a great camera system, but the average photographer doesn’t have ten to twenty thousand dollars on gear.

    • @1iblock
      @1iblock ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As i mentioned in other comments, I do 80% of my shooting with one body and a 24-70mm lens. I brought a lot of equipment so that people who are interested in grear would have an opportunity to see what is available for their style of shooting. And it gave me an opportunity to try out gear I don't normally use. In the end it's not the gear, it's what you see !!!

    Just curious. I'm sure most would do it for free, but the subjects that you photo for a period of time, do you drop them a little cash? Would that be considered rude?

    Mixed feelings about romanticizing poverty and dictator ship. I've never been a fan of the hate, apathy, and suffering inflicted on the Cuban people.

    • @musician7w

      By the American government !!

    • @sergiofernandez116
      @sergiofernandez116 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@musician7w The US did influence Cuba's history (Spanish American war, political influence, etc.). Not all of it good, but under the US influence, Cuba was better off than its current dictatorship regime.
      Compare the pictures. Look at the architecture back then and now. Look how people were dressed. Cubans could travel at will; come and go as they pleased but no longer. Today Cuba is a jail. People have nothing and stand in line with vouchers for rations.
      If you associate, believe, etc. with the hate, apathy, and suffering inflicted on the Cuban people, then you are part of the dictatorship regime. No one in their right mind can approve of such an absurd ideology.

    • @musician7w
      @musician7w ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sergiofernandez116 Cubans were worse off under Batista supported by US Imperialism and the Mob. Were Cubans better off with Batista's death squads? The only reason Cuba is badly off now is the Illegal US Sanctions that American Capitalism imposes on anyone who disagrees with its Imperialist policies. I call bullshit on your version of history.

    The impact of communism and the absence of freedom in its direct relationship to the poverty of the people is always worthy of documentary photography. Not sure everyone sees that fundamental cause & effect though; blinded by what they see as photographic opportunity solely for the sake of the image.
