Since her damage is nothing special, she won't be able to finish her foes before her skill runs out. While a lot of points was put into her defense, she will still melt once her skill runs out. Needing to activate her S3 twice also means she is NOT helidropable. S3 is single target... No res ignore... attack interval increase... yikes. Balance is one thing, but this is just gimping Viviana. This late into the game and into the most crowded 6* class (guards), this just doesn't cut it. In a game meant for fun, seeing her like this just feels bad. I always wondered, does HG ever test operators before releasing them...
What could’ve fixed her is if they make her Skill 3 an infinite duration at the second activation. If anything, they could’ve make it a borderline infinite duration by having the second activation duration only drain when there isn’t any enemies within her range.
or it can be done by giving certain condition that can extend the duration of the skill while alos giving some additional damage bonus or aspd while in that duration@@andrewnguyen1117
Not to mention they never rework skills or stats neither directly or indirectly... I've been waiting for Viviana's release ever since Maria Nearl and seeing her be this mediocre even at E2 90 is just disappointing. I've been playing at E2 20 since I started (a bit at launch and returned upon Nian's release) and successfully resisted the allure of modules, but after seeing her like this I really might just end up breaking the barrier and going past my E2 20 cap. Or god forbid we wait for Viviana Alter lmao

unlike surtr, she invested of tokens into defensive department. dmg reduction, her skills steal enemy aspd and buffs her defense, and then theres an entire talent slot already taken at giving her shield. since this is the direction her kit took i dont think you will find her dmg that high even at m3. save yourself the expectations for something else. on that note, the numbers go like this. viviana s3 has 3110 dps and surtr s3 has 2665. however surtr also has 20 res ignore so she wins as long as as the target has above 30 res
She's good, but not like Surtr good, her kit is giving strong dps and tank abilities, especially against elites and bosses, more about laneholding than helidrop and kill

Her animations has nothing to do with her arts which is light arts, so yeah the former candle knight that has passenger s3 aoe doesnt have a light/shadow gimmick and instead make her a 6 star astesia is my biggest complaint for her
My biggest problem with her. her animations and operator chibi design is just ugly. Why put so much emphasis on her sword, and not the damn light show that she's known for? She's called the CANDLE knight for god's sake

Yeah make her that, a ground unit that needs 30 sec charge (another 30 for overcharge) then cast anywhere in the map, the explosion radius is the same as her NPC version, then boom immediately have candle in her goddamn kit and more interesting cause you can give her a 30-50k aoe arts nuke in one hit after 60 sec charge, atleast she could fight surtr this way rather than competing on what surtr does better already
I think the problem isn't Block count but Single Target She has shield to def against Enemy Elite/bosses who usually hit hard but slow aspd, if u give her 2 or 3 block, shield won't get in time if slug hit it before the boss Surtr casually obliterated bosses because she has no problem targeting Bosses with her multi target enemy
Gotta love what the AK community has turned into. If the character isn't completely broken and doesn't invalidate old operators, no one gives a shit. It's like they want every new op to negate the operators they pulled for before. Such a weird mentality to have the expectation of 'powercreep or not worth pulling'. I remember back when we were just happy to get characters in the game; and it didn't matter if they were balanced or not. Now everyone only wants characters if they have a win button. The characters don't matter anymore, the playerbase just wants overtuned and braindead kits.
Okay old man. Go back to bed... Meta's changed, so powercreep has already happened. Operators need to be introduced that fall within new minimum standards to be considered usable. People that don't want OP operators already stopped using 6*'s, or use one with an unique kit. Viviana here is just slashing a single target multiple times and does arts dmg with some range. That's not fun or unique? She has defenses with shield, I guess that's cool. What else though. What strats does she introduce, or what operator can she replace?

A mix between offense and defense isnt bad but it also means that she isnt strong at any field. Overall she is average

It is not M3. The stats in the beginning are of her skill at Rank 7 with no Masteries. and the showcase is at Rank 7 with no Masteries.
