WOW is all I have to say! His stage presence is like nothing I've seen WOW again! I'm so happy I know about this great artist now!!! I really felt this one so much! Dimash is really on a different level words can't describe how AMAZING he is.
A little bit of info for this video SOS:
On January 16th the TIXR streaming platform hosted an online concert DIMASH DIGITAL SHOW. The artist Dimash performed 'SOS D'un Terrien En Détresse'. Dimash Qudaibergen performed the song "SOS" in the 1st round of the Chinese contest" I am a Singer " in 2017. The next day, more than 600 million viewers learned about Dimash!

Dinmuhammed Qanatuly Qudaibergen known professionally as Dimash Qudaibergen, is a Kazakh singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is university-trained in classical as well as contemporary music and is known for his exceptionally wide vocal range. He has performed songs in thirteen languages.

Welcome to the world of Dimash. You can never ever go wrong with Dimash. He does a version of Ave Maria. One written ONLY for Dimash and only Dimash can pull it off. There are zero lyrics. Just his voice and yes, you will need a tissue. Please do Dimash, Ave Maria. Now he is fluent in his native Kazakh and Russian but English is quickly becoming his third language with a little Mandarin thrown in for good measure. However, you will find he sings in about 15 different languages. Ave Maria as I stated has no lyrics but it will be the most moving 4 minutes you can imagine. He can go very a very very deep baritone to whistle note and do it as you see in one song. Ave Maria is all soprano or head voice, not sure because I am not a musically person. However, it is heavenly.

Direct descendant of a 14th century noble family of the Khanate of the Junior Zhuz, raised from birth to be dignified and humble in public at all times, revere his God and the Elders, respect and honor his family, friends and importantly, his "sacred homeland". A talent like DIMASH only comes along about once in a millennium and we may never see the likes of him ever again; but we are fortunate that he has come forward in the age in which we live and we can be some of the few in history to be exposed to him. Seven years ago I first heard him do SOS and I felt i was losing my mind, how could anyone be that good. And he has only gotten better since that first time. But, I still get "chills" "leaky eyes" and my sinuses go crazy on me; everytime I hear him sing it is like the first time, no matter how many hundreds, upon hundreds of times I have listened to his songs. What is scairy is he is even better in live concert than on video; you leave the concert feeling numb and wandering around trying to fathom what you have just experienced.

I will recommend one of my favourites, "Qairan Elim" the official music video.(It starts with a bit of a Kazakh documentary that has no subtitles, but the actual song does have English subtitles, so be sure to use them because Dimash's songs have words that are worth knowing.) Also "Ikanaide" which means "Don't go." And for romantic songs, I love "Love is Like a Dream" Enjoy! 🇨🇦

Those are gorgeous songs but for begginers there are some others that will be better to listen first. Like the path we made knowing his songs.
In newer songs he uses some techniques in such a subtle way that to recognise and enjoy them the best thing is to listem to them in older songs and enjoy more.

Dimash makes you feel what he's singing about. If you can feel. He is very special in many ways. He takes different paths, which doesn't make it any easier for him.
You have just found the once in a lifetime artist in Dimash. He has music in his mind, heart, body and soul. Dimash is a humble young man, who is so passionate in all that he does. SOS is the song that introduced Dimash to the world and opened many great opportunities and collaborations for him. There are a number of versions of Dimash singing this song, each different but all great. This particular version comes from the Dimash Digital Show put on during the pandemic after all live concerts were cancelled and he had to cut his Arnau Tour short. The song SOS comes from the famous 1978 Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania', which is well known in French-speaking countries, and is a pretty difficult song to sing. In 2017 Dimash received a wild card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant ever at 22 years old and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part in this competition. Although well-known and respected in his homeland Kazakhstan, few in China knew or heard about Dimash before, but with his first song, SOS, Dimash shocked the audience and captured the hearts of over 600 million of viewers overnight, and the rest is history as the saying goes.

Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And that in all registers.
His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 or 16 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. Sometimes he also can be a little bit goofy, and I love it❤️. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audience to be seen or heard.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
He is very spiritual, but I think the wings are not intended to be angel wings. I think he is thinking more about the wings of a steppe eagle because it is the symbol of the Kazakh flag, which he is very proud of.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.

Here he sings in a competition for young musicians, called New Wave in Sochi, Russia. He was there in 2018 as a guest.
The musicians who accompany him are called A-Studio. It's a Kazakh band that wrote this song in 1998. However, Dimash sang it differently. And in my opinion much better 😄.
The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
If possible, always watch the videos from start to finish. Very often there are interesting things to learn. Either there’s something to laugh about, or he’s talking to his audience. He always thanks his musicians. He is incredibly humble and never acts like a star. When he is praised, he constantly says that it is thanks to his teachers and his parents, who made it all possible for him. He’s just incredible.
These last three mentioned songs are mind-blowing and will leave you speechless. I promise.
