    Good to see another person smart enough to make them long, not sure why some people make them so short. Makes no sense to me.

      K Digiacomo thanks! I like how they look when they’re tucked into the body more, but that defeats the purpose of having them

      Dan Hambrick Thanks! It’s working great until I get some frame stiffeners so they can be welded on

    Only down side i saw was the way they were mounted. I just finished my frame stiffeners and i also have some 2x6 1/4 wall then i weld straight to the stiffeners with 3 2x4 5/16 pieces. They’re super stout

    Why not just replace the rockers with 2x6's? You get better ground clearance.

    How far do they stick out from the body? 2inches?
    Can you use them to Jack the vehicle up?

    • @trailtrash9717
      @trailtrash9717  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I’d say at least 2 inches. Yes I use them to jack it up

      @@trailtrash9717 how did you change them?

    • @wesfoley7812
      @wesfoley7812 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@trailtrash9717 Seems like the mounting would maybe need to be triangulated off of the bottom of the unibody so they'd be a little stronger. Is that what you ended up doing?

      Are these sliders heavy?

  • @officialWWM
    @officialWWM 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Isn’t it better to remove the sill and replace it with the slider? You lost 2 inches of ground clearance there and according to my wife, 2 inches is important!

    • @trailtrash9717
      @trailtrash9717  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you want to spend the time cutting the rockers out yes, but to be honest I haven’t been in a spot where I needed the extra 2 inches so I’m going to run them like this for now
