Only down side i saw was the way they were mounted. I just finished my frame stiffeners and i also have some 2x6 1/4 wall then i weld straight to the stiffeners with 3 2x4 5/16 pieces. They’re super stout
@@trailtrash9717 Seems like the mounting would maybe need to be triangulated off of the bottom of the unibody so they'd be a little stronger. Is that what you ended up doing?
Isn’t it better to remove the sill and replace it with the slider? You lost 2 inches of ground clearance there and according to my wife, 2 inches is important!
If you want to spend the time cutting the rockers out yes, but to be honest I haven’t been in a spot where I needed the extra 2 inches so I’m going to run them like this for now
Good to see another person smart enough to make them long, not sure why some people make them so short. Makes no sense to me.
👍✌️
K Digiacomo thanks! I like how they look when they’re tucked into the body more, but that defeats the purpose of having them
Beautiful work!
That's some nice fab work guys.I like the riv nut idea, looks pretty strong.
Dan Hambrick Thanks! It’s working great until I get some frame stiffeners so they can be welded on

Sweet video! What that Tibet attachment called?
8:20 Beard trim! 😂
👍✌️
Why not just replace the rockers with 2x6's? You get better ground clearance.
What size river but did you use?
Ramon 1974 I believe those are 10x1.25
How far do they stick out from the body? 2inches?
Can you use them to Jack the vehicle up?
Yeah I’d say at least 2 inches. Yes I use them to jack it up
How them thangs holding up. Thankin bout doin dem on mines
I changed how they’re mounted but otherwise they’re holding up great
@@trailtrash9717 how did you change them?

On 6:25 what angle did you set your cut at? TIA
It’s been so long ago I don’t honestly remember
@@trailtrash9717 no worries I actually got some wood and mocked up the angles then went to the metal tubing. Love the videos btw keep them coming
What size of steel is that
It’s 2x4 3/16” wall

Are these sliders heavy?
