Very true, the voice in my head always sounds more believable than when I read out! Will have to work on that... thank you ma’am
Fantastic insight and advice. Especially about reading something and listening to the way the voice in your head is reading it to you. Incredibly helpful. Thank you.
My favorite actress, I still recognised your beautiful voice. Happy to see you madam Stella

Hi Coach! The problem I seem to have is that my natural accent is British but barely get cast because they believe I don’t have a Nigerian accent for their production. I was advised to introduce myself in my natural accent, then give my monologue in a Nigerian accent. Do you think this is ok to do?
Thanks alot,I hope it works for me

At which age can one start acting?
I'm 55 and I just started. I signed up with Central Casting in NYC 2 months ago. They took my photo and within 1 week I started getting availability inquiries. So far I did 3 background shoot days on Law & Order: Original, 1 day on Law & Order: SVU, & 1 day on FBI: Most Wanted. I was a lawyer, a cop, a diplomat, a gun convention attendee, and a court room gallery member. Just background. No talking. But it's a learning experience being on set. I plan to take acting classes now and then audition for some small speaking roles. I think you're never too old to start... if it's what you really want to do. And if we don't succeed, so what. At least we tried. Edit: I just noticed and clicked on your profile photo. My old eyes couldn't originally see how young you are. So now I'll add that you're also never too young to start. Good luck.
@@greggh congrats !!!! you're young too !

How audible should one be?
Take away don’t use accents in your monologues. Use monologues that are in your authentic voice i.e. your internal voice that you read to yourself in
