Agreed, especially for those of us who have been around, gaming, for a long time. DMC, Ninja Gaiden, Castlevania LOS (2). Gauntlets and grieves with claws are so overdone and generic, even if its done well (it looks great here), I think may veteran gamers are past that.
@@phoenicia1313 This comment confuses me. I am a "veteran gamer" since the 1970s, and if a tried-and-true mechanic or weapon is done well, I am not "past that". Do you get tired of games with jump and double jump, with dash mechanics? Do you get tired of games with a grappling mechanic or a scope mechanic? Do you get tired of games with swords, or axes, or guns? If so, you are someone who needs an unusual amount of innovation in every new game. I think most veteran players just want to play good games that are fun & well-designed. Personally, I'm not concerned about LSA's combat mechanics. If the game ever releases, I'm sure they'll be crunchy and fun. I'm more concerned with the rest of the game ... i.e. what are the other strong points of the game besides boss battles?
Agreed! I was so bummed out at Black Myth: Wukong following a more souls approach to combat. Gori: Cuddly Carnage and Lost Soul Aside is my only hopes of keeping spectacle fighters sub-genre alive in 2024. 😫
At this point people need to deliver a message to all the Lost Soul Aside social media's and say *We don't care anymore this has reached a pathetic level now*

XVI and VIIR are hotbar-like combats, they aren't like DMC at all.

The game is so inspired by Final Fantasy XV/Final Fantasy Versus XIII that it also got inspired by the development hell it went thru
