This is the most PAINFULLY accurate example of being bullied, The threats, the failed teacher, and most of all, victim blaming.
Yes - I don’t agree with Mrs. Puff’s approach! 😂
Thanks for watching! 😎👍
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts who DOES AGREE?!
@@prowolf633Hopefully no one! 😂
@@prowolf633 me.
Jk
Been there done all that you mentioned. I hated all of it.
I never thought a Principal watching SpongeBob would be the coolest thing to ever happen
Wow, thanks for the feedback! Thanks for watching! 😎👍
Same here
I'm glad you're enjoying the content! More to come!
"Can I be excused for the rest of my life?"
I forgot about that line and it still makes me chuckle up to now 😂
Lol yes!
Tbh I'm starting to consider Mrs. Puff kept beint oblivious to Flats's threats to SPongebob on purpose cuz lore wise she despises Spongebob and wants to stop being his teacher
Yes I was really surprised at her reaction when Flats was so obvious!
Thanks for watching! 😎👍
Having seen Alex Bale's Mrs. Puff Theory, I think you're probably right
I think the reason for Mrs. Puffs oblivious reaction to Flats actions is to reflect on real life teachers ignoring or not observant of the red flags of bullying.
Yes yes yes
Thanks for bringing this up. Unfortunately, this does happen in real life - I have seen it myself. I tell students that if you feel that a teacher is ignoring bullying, please come see me right away. THANKS : )
The spongebob monologue about Flats being the real victim, a victim of society, was deep. One of those things you don't understand when watching spongebob as a kid but makes sense now
I agree. It's not always like this, but there is usually a reason the bully is doing what they're doing other than being sadistic (not always though). It doesn't excuse the behavior in any way whatsoever, but it's there.
Thanks for watching!
Procrastination is another fantastic school-centric spongebob episode!
I had not heard of this one. Thanks a lot! 😎👍
That's a great suggestion.
The premise is having to write an essay 👍
"No free rides" is also good, though only the first half is school-related
Adding "Mrs.Puff, You're Fired" to the chain.
I don't know why, but the scene where SpongeBob turns into a real Sponge while in the toilet is so funny to me for how unexpected it is.
Yes, me too! He “acts natural” by transforming into a real sponge! I thought that was funny. 😂
Thanks for watching! 😎👍
It's pretty cool hearing a high school principals perspective on this episode, and apply it to real life and highschool. I think it's really cool.
Thanks! I will be doing a lot more of this, so subscribe if you can, so that you can see other examples of this!
Thanks for watching! 😎👍
There's a show called icarly, There's an episode got "Igot detention" that focuses on school. @@SchoolPrincipalReacts
You really sound like you’re what every principal should strive to be.
Thanks!!! 😎👍
I dealt with this exact same situation before in elementary and middle school. All my teachers did nothing to help even when the bullies were messing with me right in front of them. I actually got in trouble a few times when I tried to report it, and nothing changed even when the principals got involved.
I’m sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, not everyone takes it seriously. We now have more strict anti-bullying laws that we must follow. Thanks for sharing this! 👍
In my experience telling an adult is not the right call. I started school in the early 90s and 2000s in NYC when gang activity was at an all time high. If you snitched , you were getting jumped for sure. A kid once got his two front teeth knocked down his throat for snitching. That's when I learned to keep my mouth shut and mind my business. Remember kids are afraid to tell their teachers because the kid knows the teacher can't protect them during recess or after school hours, and won't do anything drastic until after the damage is already done, so kids don't bother.
The truth is that every school is a little bit different. I agree with you that the culture of “snitches” exists in a lot of places, unfortunately. I would still say that the best course of action is to tell in adult. Sometimes it is a matter of telling specific adults that are in the best position to do something about it. It is also often possible to do it in a way that no one knows you have told someone. I agree that some places make it more difficult to do this than others. Thanks for watching! 😎👍
As an adult, this episode reminds me of my time in 5th grade. I would tell the teacher about something one of my classmates said or did, and she would do nothing or just try to calmly talk to them, but as always they would spin it around as a misunderstanding. I even had a Valentine card where my name was misspelled on purpose to make it sound dumb, so I showed it to her. She called the kid up and, of course, he lied and said it was a mistake. Because my name is different, she took his side and dropped the matter. As soon as she looked away, he smiled at me and walked away.
But whenever any of my classmates told the teacher I did something super insignificant or even lied by twisting my words around to make it sound like I was doing something bad, she would take me out into the hall and tell me "what happened". I would try to tell her what really happened, but she wouldn't believe me. I wouldn't be punished, but I was just so tired of being picked on and her not on my side.
It wasn't until the last week of school when I finally got justice because I had proof! One of my art projects had been vandalized by someone, and I wasn't going to say anything at first until she heard me quietly exclaim a "Oh no! What happened?" and saw my project with scribbles all over it. She called for the classes attention and demanded whoever did it to step forward. Since no one did, everyone had to stay in the classroom for lunch and no recess unless someone confessed. Of course, some kids blamed me for the punishment because I said something, but it honestly was an accident and I was kinda glad I did since she was actually on my side. Eventually a classmate stepped forward and we all got to go outside except for them. They apologized (I had to accept it because, as they said in Full House, "never walk away angry", and back then it felt like you had to accept apologies) and wrote an apology letter. Whether it really was them or not, I was just happy this teacher actually took action for something that happened to me rather than find it as a misunderstanding somehow.
Hey. Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately, some adults don’t know how to deal with these kinds of situations in a way that is truly effective. Just like Mrs. Puff, they may say that it isn’t really bullying or a problem. Or they may just simply not know how to deal with it. We do our best to train teachers on the right way to handle it, or to simply report it to administrator. Thanks so much for your comment! 😎
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts Hire teachers that aren't so easily fooled by lying children. Oh, and don't hire teachers with crappy attutides either.
I agree! If the interview process is what it needs to be, these individuals are phased out.
Here's a thought: Spongebob could've called the cops since Flats is threatening him with physical assault. Dude literally tried to kill him.
Yes, in the real world that would be a terroristic threat. 😂
Thanks for watching! 😎👍
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts Oh? How is Flats threatening to physically beat up SpongeBob a terroristic threat? It’s not like Flats said to SpongeBob “I’m going to bomb your house”
@@michaelmartin8964I know that when you read “terroristic threat,” you may think “terrorist,” which leads you to “bombs,” but the way the law reads, a terroristic threat is basically any verbal threat to harm someone. It’s more of a legal term.
Thanks for the reply!
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts You’re welcome
him calling the cops would of probably most likely happened, as this is an adult driving school, and there is really nothing an adult driving instructor can do lol
I heard a theory a while back that Mrs. Puff basically hired Flats to pose as a student and do spongebob in because she was desperate to get spongebob out of her life.
Kinda makes sense. I mean, Mrs. Puff has attempted to kill SpongeBob in a later season.
Wow! Yes, someone else said something about that!
Thanks for watching! 😎👍
That theory sounds like a plot the writers could've used if they tried.
I mean this is the older season of SpongeBob, so the characters are different then the newer ones.
Actually Flats was in season 1, and Spongebob thought he was an alien, and I think Flats wanted revenge on Spongebob. It's an interesting theroy.
2:27 yeah bullying is definitely not a joking matter. Same with bomb threats at the airport.
I completely agree!
It's funny. My dad once told me that he when he was a kid, he met a big, mean kid who was kinda like Flats was, threatening to kick his butt and whatnot, but when this bully actually did hit my dad... He told me it barely hurt, and actually kinda tickled lol. I can't really remember his full story, but those mentioned details stick out to me. XD
Thanks for sharing! Unfortunately, most people have a “bully” story.
Thanks for watching ! 😎👍
Is your dad literally Spongebob 😭
I love how he reviews the entire episode and not just a few clips! You earned a sub sir, I wish I had a principal like you. 👍
Thanks for the feedback and for subscribing! 😎👍
When I was growing up, we didn't tell the teachers. If a bully throws the first punch, the victim needs to throw the last punch.
Revenge is underated.
Funny enough, the end part where he punches him without effect, is pretty much a method in real life that can be used for individuals with such a high aggression, of course not by being a sponge, but for example a sport in which they can power themselves out (of course accompanied by tutoring).
GA Student here!
Funny enough this episode is actually scary accurate to how bullying can feel at a young age, Spongebob's reaction to it and the way the episode ends always served as motivation for me as a kid though.
Good to hear from a fellow Georgian! 😎👍
I'm from GA too! No longer a student though.
A fellow Georgian! Nice! 👍
7:42 This was Mrs. Puff's perfect chance to get rid of Spongebob.
If you hate getting bullied, watch "Comics, illustrations, and text that explain reality and/or have deep meanings".
I checked it out, thanks!
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts The creator has an underrated channel.
I’m starting to think Mrs. Puff actually wanted Flats to shank SpongeBob; she legit mentioned his name when she spoke to him after saying not to.
3:24 I’m surprised Mrs. Puff actually said that considering in No Free Rides, she was beyond desperate to get rid of SpongeBob even if it meant cheating.
Other good episodes:
Hall Monitor
Boating School
Doing Time
I will check this out! 👍
In modern episodes if this plot happened today this episode Puff would transfer SpongeBob to another class. She has anxiety attacks about him all the time. Puff shows more aggressiveness and anxiety toward SpongeBob in the modern era. Outside the boating school, she wants nothing to do with him. He even gets her arrested at times.(unintentionally)
You seem like a good principal who means business. Wish you had been in charge of my jr high school. I was bullied really bad and I went to my teachers and principal several times but they refused to do anything. They’d make empty promises, makes excuses for the bullies; and one of my teachers even victim shamed me.
I’m sorry to hear that. I have seen this before unfortunately. Most schools nowadays have made a commitment to end bullying by taking it more seriously. Thanks! 👍
If you get hurt by a bully, FIGHT BACK!
Mrs. Puff: "There shall be no butt-kicking in any class of mine!"
Also Mrs. Puff: "I can't believe you beat up a new student. I'm going to kick your butt!"
Yes! Lol 😂
"How many times must we teach you this lesson old man!"
Has become part of my vocabulary every now and then thanks to this episode.
Hahahahaa! Yes! 😂
My mom and I dealt with the school system. They didn't think I wasn't good enough for adult life.Thank goodness I graduated. 🎓
I'm glad you graduated, too!!!
Thanks for watching!
The most ironic thing about Flats is that he’s played by the actor known for Biff in Back to the Future….
I did not know that!!!!! 😂
He never appears (at least not in boating school) after this episode i guess he decided it best to make like seaweed and get out of there ;)
@@JohnSmith-jh6ey , he wanted to kick SpongeBob’s butt because of what happened in Sandy’s Rocket….
He was also the voice of the strangler
On top of the theories with Mrs. Puff below, Flatts also appeared in an earlier episode where spongebob and Patrick tried to go to the moon and mistook everyone in bikini bottom as aliens. Flatts was one of the people they captured., so some people think this is attempted payback.
Ahhhhh I see - I didn’t have the backstory. Thanks! 😂
Oh yeah I remember that episode. I can see why Flats would want payback.
12:27 Harold: "How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man!?😡"
The elder: "I love the young people.🙂"
Everybody: "(confronting the old man)😡😡😡"
Hilarious 😂
''Mrs. Puff, You're Fired'' is a good one!
I think you will see that one pop up! Thanks!
The way you said “Mrs Puff” at 9:18 gets me every time!😆
Lol! 😂
I recommend checking out the movie Sky High(or just some clips, whatever floats your boat), it's basically about a highschool for superheroes if you haven't heard of it.
Thanks! I will check it out! 👍
I remember always crying in English class and when the teacher walked walked in she would ask who made me cry and I would say why I was crying and point at the ones who made me cry, it’s funny now because they would try to apologize and get me to stop crying but failed. Now the English teacher I had back then is in the office building and is someone people can go talk to, like my little brother who has the same thing as me (autism) and she fixed a problem he had in one of his classes where the teacher punished everyone and made them all write an essay and he got so behind in class work and she fixed it.
There are movies that relate how a school is run as well as bullying. Like Sky High (2005).
I will check into it! Thanks!
Great video mate. It’s funny cos just the other day I randomly remembered this episode and questioned it thinking what on Earth was that all about😂 Your responses are spot on
Thanks!
And thanks for watching! 😎👍
Omg I forgot how funny this show was! I haven't laughed like that in a while. In fact I don't think I ever laughed at this show that much when I was a kid.
I'm glad you enjoyed it - thanks for watching!
I love your reaction to this episode there are actually school bullies that happen everywhere especially usually when it’s in middle school. It happens to everyone and I know the feeling because I felt that way before but your reaction to this episode is pretty amazing.
Hey!
Yes, unfortunately, you are right. We do tend to see this more in middle school than in any other part of the educational process. It is something that we battle every day. I’m glad you enjoyed the episode! 😎👍
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts thank you I’ve gone through that in my middle school days but I don’t have to do that anymore. Things like that can happen. We’ve all been there. and yes I do enjoy this episode. I watch it sometimes on Paramount+ it’s pretty good.😊💜
@brodiger I know you’re glad to be through with that! Of course, bullying also happens in high school, but not nearly as much. A lot of negative behaviors tend to fade away when students reach high school. Thanks for sharing this!
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts of course and I know high school students do the same thing to thankfully since we’re adults now we don’t have to go through this anymore. Even if kids in school have to still come through this, but they will make it through. 💜
Absolutely! 👍👍 we try to put a stop to it as much as possible. No student should have to feel uneasy coming to school. Thanks.
When I was in elementary, none of my interventions we're taken seriously. So when I went to middle school, I had to handle my bullies and I ended up getting into bigger trouble than the bully. I lost faith in the education system so I was happy to learn my community college has security and that I haven't seen most of the people I knew since.
I’m sorry you went through this. This is why we train teachers to take these things seriously. Thanks for sharing. 👍
My school had a “zero tolerance policy”
and one time i saw a kid hitting another kid and dragging him to the ground and the other kid kept trying to walk away, wasn’t fighting or pushing him back or anything. Yet they both got suspended.
This is a tough one. I will say that about 95% of the time, both students are at fault. We work hard to investigate every situation closely so that students who are truly ambushed do not get punished.
Thanks for the comment and for watching!
They really suspended the student victim???? He didn't even do anything but get beat up. Shame.
I hope you don't let bullies win in your school.
Absolutely not. Unfortunately, it happens a lot in many schools. We do not tolerate it at my school.
Thanks for watching! 😎👍
The thing about drawings on blackboards made by a bully happens more times than you think in schools and high schools in Latin America
why cant this homie be my school principal bruh you seem so chill legit!
Thanks! 😎👍
"I'm in the middle of a coffee fueled sermon right now"
Yes lol!
what I love about this episode is the fact that despite all Flat’s threats to kick spongebob’s butt, spongebob was still nice to him twice, once in the hospital, to bring him flowers and save him with CPR and again when spongebob said flats was the real victim after he got worn out. When Flats crashed, spongebob could’ve said “thank god” and ran away from him and never see him again, but no, he saved him despite his threats. Tells you how great of a soul Spongebob is. Also how did Flats know where spongebob lived? reminds me of a lot of movies and shows where the bad guy just randomly shows up to the main character’s house without any explanation of them finding out where they live.
Yes, you are right! SpongeBob has remarkably good character compared to the others! 😂
@@SchoolPrincipalReactsoh and spongebob also told his father “he is a fine boy and all” a third time he was nice to flats
The ending IS THE MOST ACCURATE. The misunderstanding and victim gets the blame
Unfortunately this does happen sometimes.
"Coffee-filled sermon". Man, it's weird coming back to these old episodes as adults.
Yeah 😂
theres actually a theory that flats is so gung ho on hurting sponegob because of an ealier episode where spongebob broke into his house, stuffed him in a net and tried to load him in a rocket to the moon.
Wow! I didn’t know that!
My school never did anything at all about me being bullied all the time
I am sorry to hear that. Some schools do better than others about this.
I hope you enjoyed the episode. 👍
This came up in my recommended, very cool to see a principal watch SpongeBob!
Thanks for clicking on my content! 😎👍
How is Flats able to drive when he is going to a driving school in the first place?
Good question!
I think he was using the driving school to fuel his temptation to hurt someone
Bullying takes on many forms over the years. When I was in middleschool, I had to face it constantly, from being called different names, to being treated differently based on sterotypes and race, and to being touched inappropriately. It was time when people were reaching puberty and that ghetto and rap attitude was common. Other factors was my introvert personality, my emotions, and all that. And worse, the rules trying to stop the bullying was turned against victims. I even got my own drinks and money stolen at times. In highschool, bullying died down to something more tame and not worth getting angry over because these bullies tend to be rebellious and fail at education.
I laughed so hard when that just came outta the blue u don’t just go around saying I like to kick peoples butt 😂😂😂
well flats sure learned his lesson the hard way at the end
Yes he did!
love how they make this whole driving school, like an actually high school lol
One thing to remember is that for high school students, particularly boys, telling a teacher or principal about another student bullying them is not an option for them. At that age, Snitching to a teacher or principal would ostracize a student and leave them friendless.
Yes, that’s the hardest part of these situations.
Hello, would you ever consider doing reactions to the show: Ned's declassified school survival guide? Would be interested in seeing a principals reaction to its content!
Hey! Several people have mentioned the show. I will check into it! Thanks! 😎👍
It was on Netflix last I checked (6 months ago?)
Thanks! I will check! Others have recommended this also. 😎
The Last Thing You’d Expect!
I was a little bullied once... but I told my teacher on a student who slammed my Locker right at me or maybe messing with my stuff....
Don't know if you noticed but Mrs Puff was litterally saying 'blah blah blah...' when Sponebob started talking to Flats 😅. Ever since I was kid I did cause she said real audible. Lol
5:52 important part is that spongebob did kidnap him mistaking him for an alien wich explains why he's angry
The guy who voiced Flats the Flounder is Tom Wilson who played Biff in the Back to the Future trilogy.
Yeah, someone else told me that - makes total sense! I didn’t know that before! 👍
Unfortunately, I was the bully back in elementary school. Y'all, if someone is bullying you, please just tell a teacher or administrator, or any adult you trust to fix the issue. I hate looking back on what I was like, and I wish somebody had put a stop to my antics early on.
To those curious, there was this girl I picked on all the time. She was really shy and didn't really have more than one or two friends, so I thought “easy target.” She was one of my most frequent targets. Never anything physical. Had enough decency to know not to hit a girl, but I still managed to make school awful for her.
All of this changed about midway through 3rd grade when an even bigger bully set his sights on me. Picking on other kids wasn't really fun anymore when I was also getting bullied. Needless to say, my bullying days ended pretty soon.
It all turned out good though. After I stopped messing with her, and we made up, the girl and I, believe it or not, became best friends, took some time, but yeah, we were inseperable. Eventually started dating in high school. Just married her last summer. It's funny how this sort of thing happens, and it's probably the strangest way to become friends. Really, you could probably make a hallmark movie out of this. Still, I hate looking back on what I was like.
I think a lot of people have this experience. Thanks for sharing your unique story. 👍
11:47 That’s what Gets me😅😅 How’s he Driving a Garbage Truck if he’s in Boating School? 🧐
Yeah it doesn't make sense does it????
Thanks for watching!
2:38 How did I just now notice that Mrs. Puff's dialogue goes into "blah blah" after so many years?
😂
I distinctively remember episodes, where Mrs. Puff, bullies SpongeBob, herself
Hi, I’m Mario, I just saw your channel in my suggestion, I remember watching this episode as a child, it’s nice to see a principal watching this
Welcome to the channel! Thanks for watching! 😎👍
Probably shouldn't be saying this to a principal but when I was a kid I handled my bullies by beating them up.
I was small and autistic in the 2000's (which was pretty much the dark ages of autism care) and they became good friends afterwards we mostly let stuff go I only had bully who wouldn't stop because he was a gangbanger and my teacher unfortunately said she didn't see anything every time he threatened me or threw stuff at me and told me to sit down(I later found out she hated all men for some reason and later worked at an all girls school)
Hey - thanks for the comment.
That's horrible and I'm sorry you went through that. The truth is that every situation is different, but as a general rule I tell students to tell an adult. There are situations (unfortunately) like the one you described where the adult doesn't do their job. This happens occasionally, and in this instance the student's only legitimate choice is to tell a different person (an administrator if possible).
Thanks for watching!!!
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts it's fine inner-city schools what can you do
Sometimes a bully will bully someone for no reason or motive and just like in this episode, SpongeBob didn't know why flatz wanted to beat him up.
I didn't realize the ending was trying to show that when all else fails just ignoring the bullying until they get sick and tired of trying is another way to deal with it but the best way is just tell someone and get it dealt with asap before you get hurt
Yes - I always encourage students to tell someone. The sooner, the better.
Thanks for watching! 😎👍
Thank you for standing up for SpongeBob❗️
Well well well look who just made another fire video ❤
Thanks! 👍👍👍
She's desperate to get her worst student out of her class, permanently; he has retaken the boating course over 500 times, according to series cannon
I learned quickly that you NEVER tell teachers if you're being bullied. I had a friend in high school who confessed to a guy. He turned her down, but his girlfriend dumped a tray of food on her head.
She told teachers, and the bullying got worse.
She told me and our other friend about it, and we were out for blood that day.
The triluth is that if you're being bullied, teachers make it worse.
We were more than willing to fight that girl, but this was a year after we graduated.
So yeah, never tell teachers. Fight back.
Hey - I am sorry this happened. The only legitimate option is to tell someone at the school. The truth is that every person (including teachers) is different, and just because a teacher failed in their duty to do something about the bullying does not mean that it is the wrong thing to tell someone. Unfortunately I have also seen this in situations where the teacher does not do anything. In this case, it needs to be escalated to the assistant/vice principal or principal. Thanks for sharing this! 👍
its funny how he explains about how school works like we haven't been there hahaha
😂
Cool reaction SpongeBob was one of my favorite shows growing up as a kid also I subscribed to your channel you have 831 subscribers now👍

You cut out the best part, "how many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man"
HAHAHAHA yes - I thought that was funny also - perhaps I should have left it in!
Thanks for watching!
Fun fact: Some people have theorized that the reason Flats couldn’t hurt SpongeBob is because King Neptune made him into a god in a previous episode.
When I have kids I'm going to enroll them in martial arts classes right when they're old enough so they'll always know how to defend themselves or stop someone from picking on them. Cuz I don't want my kids to feel helpless.
It was around the point where SpongeBob talked to Flats’ dad that I realized this episode wasn’t going to be one of those educational ones that teaches us how to solve a problem, SpongeBob was just in for torture 😂

3:04 I had a bully like that back in freshman year at high school. Every time I come to gym class he would come after me to beat me up for no reason
Unfortunately I encounter someone like this every once in a while. I have never completely understood it, but it usually comes from some insecurity or emotional instability on their part. Unacceptable. Thanks for sharing this.
When Flats brushed his teeth and rinsed his mouth, I was like “What ?!” 😂😂
Yeah me too lol!
“Well, I like to kick people’s butts” 😂😂😂
Yeah, what kind of comment is that to make on the first day of class? lol 😂
this one was a classic
I agree! 😂
Bruh, this hits hard. I used to get bullied a lot, and the two times I tried to fight them off when being assaulted I got in the same trouble they did. In the 5th grade I was getting mauled for pulling a bully’s flag in flag tag, and because I eventually swung back to make her stop I had to hold my bully’s hand all day for a week. It was horrible.
Wow, this principal seems nice!
My principal is really strict!
Thanks!
Harold was always looking for an excuse to fight.
Mrs. Puffs said “i’m going to kick your butt” but spongebob has nothing to worry about, she can’t beat him up because he’s a sponge, lol
Yes lol
I love that voice of Mrs. Puff is voiced by Mary Jo Catlett, who portrayed Pearl Gallagher(the last housekeeper for the Drummonds) on the T.V. show, "Diff'rent Strokes"(1978-1986).
Interesting!
Oh my goodness...this is....amazing

14:38 One of the reasons to have security cameras. Just to make sure nobody would get the wrong idea.
I used to be bullied, endured it for 4 years til I finally got help. My teacher didn't do anything but to bully me as well, locked me and some fellow students in the library to study after school cuz we failed the test. After school I always took a different road to another bus stop cuz the one I usually took had my bullies waiting for me. They threw rocks at me and ice during winter. If it wasn't for my sister I would have given up. Out of 3 bullies, 1 apologized.
That’s horrible! I’m sorry you had this experience. Thanks for watching!

I was 10, and I whooped my bully's caboose. Intense rage for what he was doing to me was what drove me into that trance.
