I just loved exploring Pandora in this game. The world looks absolutely beautiful and the movement is amazingly smooth and fun - sometimes it even comes close to Mirror‘s Edge!
I do agree the complexity of skill trees and stats on gear could be better for a hardcore gamer, however its perfect to play with my wife who isnt a gamer and doesnt readthe details of those concepts anyway! Its a great introduction for family and friends who dont have hours of experience in RPGs
CO OP What a dream. Lots of designers bringing CO OP back again finally. Like Baldurs gate 3 and intense strategic role playing mechanic game and able to play with other players. Thank Gosh Avatar has it too. Unfortunately I dont have much friends so it never happens with me. Man love to play Co op but im to slow at the game anyways haha. Love this idea tho.
You know what sucks about gear level/weapon level systems.... Instead of putting way more enemies in to increase the chaos/fun factor, they just become bullet sponges until you level up your stuff.. Its a system with consistent ups and downs that will keep you in the same spot every time. More enemies will means you have to plan out the fight more and search for advantages, the game becomes skill based, the longer you play the smarter you get :) Leveling gear to be stronger is just lazy way to fit in grinds.. Even if you would just find cosmetic gear with slight stat boosts it would be way more interesting!!
Ok, this comment could be on pretty much *any* of your videos. But I just wanted to jump in and say I love and APPRECIATE your videos so much. Big love 👊💝
Hey man tbf this game is a 10/10 compared to most games that have come out the last few years. I mean it actually looks good on the consoles it was made for and you can progress the game without saves being deleted or progression stopping bugs so it's a W from me
Crafting, gear progression, arbitrary levels for weapons, enemies, areas, whatever else, literally the easiest way to shatter any semblance of immersion. It constantly reminds you it's a game.
So weirdly I went in as a guest in a co-op session, but still had my entire map available... Not sure if they've updated it, or because I was further along in the game I could see more
Unfortunately, from what I remember, all ubisoft games that feature co-op has this kind of problem. At least Far Cry has... You have to play to unlock co-op. It seems so many games have been doing this in recent years. Everything is solo only, but even when we have a co-op game, we have to unlock it. Did companies forget how to make a true co-op game like Baldurs Gate and Gears of War?
Does anyone else feel like it’s so hard to find your friend in-game during a coop session? Feel like the tiny blue dot and only when there super far away mechanic is super frustrating. Lmk if you have any tips or strategies to navigate this obstacle!
Like many I dotn have as much time as I used to, so when I game its mainly co-op, I should have chcked before I purhcased this as I genuinely coulnt be arsed playing through hours of teh gamer to unlock co-op. I understand if its the first hour due to learning the basics of the game, but there is no need for any longer than that before opening cp-op play. In a nutshell, I just stopped playing after the first hour, after I leanred it only opens up after 3-4 hours of play.
Probably going to have to give this one a skip on my end, good as it may be. Just too much to play to risk it on a Ubi game right now. Excellent work as always sirs.
The game was so bad and so woke. The co-op was fun enough honestly. But as a game, it was terrible compared to what it could of been. Story was the most basic fanfic quality writing imaginable.
We definitely need more games that advocate for overly processed food as opposed to living off the planet, increased pollution, breakdown of family structure, giving little resistance to invaders, ki11ing animals for no reason, and no connection to a higher power in games. T@rd.

I don't understand these companies putting this much effort and money into such open world games without making the option for a 4-6 co-op.
can't wait to see your video about Palworld

Great insight about the co-op aspect, thanks!

Breast of the Wild 7:50
Do you both need the game on your profiles or are you able to play if only one of you has the game?

great channel, great review, well produced and written. New subscriber!
Can each party have different difficulty levels like in Atlas Fallen?
Not very far yet, but gf and i are having a great time. Definitely can see your points holding truth

Does this mean that bellsprigs, saplings and flowers don’t carry over either?
Got it for free with my new CPU! Now I just need a friend to play with haha

Yeah the HUD definitely does not stand out enough from the world.
