I had permission from the harbour office to walk down the pontoons as I’m after buying a boat with a mooring. Very surprised to see GU 149, I must say she was looking very tidy in her berth👍

Thanks 🙏 Lola Bob, what type of boat are you planning on getting?

      @@Wahoo149Fishing Hi Tom,
I’m leaning towards an Orkney PH20 or similar.

Sounds good, they are solid boats from what I see and hear 👍

What type of longline hauler is that please? Good video been shooting a few lines myself this year still getting to grips with it but I think a hauler would make a massive difference

Thanks Joe, it is an Electramate tuna brute iii
I was hauling lines by hand too, but was hard work and plenty of tangles which took too long to sort with multiple lines out

Hi Tom hope your well, couple of questions on the longlines what size and type hooks are you using and what length snoods? Look forwards to more videos👍

Thanks Ross, I use VMC stainless 4/0, snoods are 100lb mono around 15-20cm long
I’m going to trial circle hooks next year, half regular and half circle to see if there is a difference 👍 🐟

Ver rock n roll today. Due to my balance problem I listened more than I watched with a lot of sneak peeks at the video. The rough sea doesn’t bother you at all does it Tom? Keep up the good work.

Thanks Yvonne, yes a bit of sea doesn’t bother me. Around here because of the big tidal range and currents, even on a flat calm day there will still be areas of chop as the water moves over features - like the one featured in this video is a sandbank.
Thanks for your continued support 🐟 🐟 👍

I don’t, but I know there are a lot of people working in finance who dream of being at sea or maybe even milking cows
