Goosebumps Moment 31:10 70.5 Balls turns by 1.5 mtrs to the slip. Warnie jokes "Hit that one down the ground for a six" And Rishabh Pant took that personally.

@@Nothing-kr5hn You can say whatever you want, but you can't deny the fact that he was there for about 4 and half hours soaking all the pressure and facing over 200 deliveries. I remember that day... It was a tuesday and I was home watching this match. My father called me around the time when it was over. He was at work and still managed to call me to know the results. He asked me whether we managed to draw the match or not. When I said we won he was really shocked. He was upset that he his didn't got to watch the last two sessions of that match. He is a cricket fan from the early 80s and he told me about the days when they used to celebrate when India manage to draw a match in Australia.
This has a special place in my life. Lost my father a couple of months ago before this to Covid and couldnt find any interest in anything.. and this match just made me forget my burden for a while. Thank you Rishabh Pant and the Indian team that won a series against complete odds.
Everyone remembers *Pant's 89* amd *Gill's 91* but ..... *Partnership* between *Shardul* and *Washington* was actually game changing from my pov ..... Rewatching this at 2 am in the night with same old tears in my eyes. Oh my god how did we even manage to bring the series down to this last day with that lineup. One for the ages. ❤
2:53:38 I think Rishabh Pant deserved the player of the series award as well. Almost won the 3rd game at Sydney and then the epic finalé at the Gabba. Just from memory I don't think he scored less than 25 in any of the innings that he batted in. 25 doesn't seem much but that makes a big difference to a batting order prone to batting collapses!!! Every single run was worth its weight in gold.
@@GurvinderKaur-ru6sk and Adelaide was no tough Test on that tour. India got bowled out for 36, and it was pure bad luck and nothing else. In fact India actually dominated the game for most part. All India needed to do was somehow crawl to 200 in their 2nd innings and Australia would have been in no position to win the Test. In fact Australia did not go beyond 200 in the first two Tests at Adelaide and Melbourne.
A match that has given me the most happiness among all other Indian wins. Mostly the best one for me in my lifetime. Thanks CA for uploading this video. Will be saved in my Archives 🙂
Just finished watching. As an Indian, I was smiling throughout the last half hour of the video post the match by watching all the gestures made by everyone, each person bringing out the purest and truest gestures conveying what this means to them. Just the way Rahane just stood from his seat and took it all in while others where thrilled and jumping, everyone in the playing 11 giving it all in after the happenings of the 1st test, Pat Cummins barging in constantly, Pant's fist pump yelling "Yeahhh" to himself, Lyon aboslutely gutted in BG along with the mighty Aussies, Rahane giving signed jersery to Lyon, Lyon appreciating the gesture after this magnitude of loss, and Shane Warne saying "May Test cricket live and live, and live." R.I.P Legend. This series defines in itself the character of both teams, and nations. The mighty Aussies fighting, always coming at you, even better when they play at home. And the courageous India team, back down after getting bowled out for 36 in 1st test, to then fighting back, giving it all, playing to defend their country's pride. At present, BGT '24 is 1-1 after today's draw. Even this time, we are in for a great series, big time. Hope both teams bring their best game in the remaining two tests, and India wins both. Test cricket remains the best and purest form of the game. ❤
Thank you Cricket Australia, I thought I will never be able to relive this last session. It was fun. Miss you Warnie - your protege Ajunkya Ranahane from Rajasthan Royals came good as captain and led India to this remarkable victory.
A series to remember for all the old-school people. We have seen the test cricket, and what it means to win a series that big. It was huge ! Yes, CWC is the biggest cricket tournament in the world, but Test cricket and series like Ashes and BGT, or any Test tour between nations, shouldn't be compared to a different format, even more so with the purest format of the game.
