If u can't have that players coach atmosphere, why will they players care to play for u. It shows u don't give a fuck if u don't be player friendly. We lost the locker room during the last 5 years during bills time because of the cultural atmosphere he developed. It caught up and the youth don't like it. If u care about players and make it a friendly environment, they listen more and are more bonded through wins and loses. That dude who made that comment is high af

We gotta give mayo a chance he could be good. He can be average or he can absolutely suck as a coach. Give the guy a chance give him a couple of years and if he doesn’t do good fires ass.

Bro you’re missing the whole point. The fact he hasn’t coached a game is the whole reason to not believe in him. This is an organization and fanbase that’s already been “rebuilding” for 5 years and now we havr replaced the GOAT with a DEI hire thats never even been a coordinator… AND Mike Vrabel was available… another patriots legend who IS the “players coach” that the patriots are trying to prop up Mayo to be AND has a history of winning 🤷♂️
The pats just cant afford to be cheeky at this point and it feels like thats what this is. Kraft wanted a yesman. More than he wanted a better chance of success.
It will be interesting to see how the next few years go…passing on Vrabel was wild though!
And another thing, the only reason craft hired mayo is he got him for 4 million a year because he’s such a cheapskate super big-time cheap owner
