Definitely the wrong first video to react to. The live version takes all the details out of the song. This band has fantastic lyrics and really good riffs too, listen to a studio/recorded version. Glow is a really good starter because it has more clean lyrics
Unfortunate that you started with the wrong version. I saw them live and just feel every second of this.. you should have started with for example Glow by them. And no live clip at the start. Being as an ocean is life

I agree with one of the comments saying that this is not a good version of that song if you haven’t listened to them before or if you haven’t see them live.
Besides, I’m the dude with the beanie (screaming at the top of my lungs) you can see at the end of this live video.
This live was taken in a small venue in Bordeaux (a city in south of France) only 11 days after the Paris terrorist attacks. We were maybe 50 persons in the venue which can contains 500/600 persons. Plus only a few people were here for the band because 30-35 persons were just figurants for A Taste Of ink movie.
It was so intense but quite weird too.
By the way, the sound was not good too even in real this day.
So it’s not a significant video for you to appreciate what Being As An Ocean do on a live performance.

FINALLY!!! bro gibby you'll love this band, technically not a "Christian" so to speak (tho I do believe in all the religions of the world trying to teach the one true law of love and life and wholeness to better ones life) but almost all their songs let's you feel the power of God enter your soul filling you with strength and will power and love to the very maximum man. I'd suggest their song "the sea always seems to put me at ease". "Death's black wing scraping across the sky" is also fantastic, again you can pick almost any of their songs to get the feeling I'm talking about they're phenomenal. They make me feel as much as the band Tool does.

You need to listen to The Hardest Part, Glow, Death’s Great Black Wing Scrapes The Air or Alone, before cementing an opinion of them.
