I'm glad to see them getting ready and trying again. I hope this year is a good year and they are successful. I also notice she is not favoring her eye. That is great to see as well.
Please rethink using dryer lint. Much of it consists of VERY fine particles, dust that can be inhaled by the birds. Also, unless you wash without chemicals, substances from the deter5gents and softeners and even dryer strips can cause damage. Pet fur carries animal scents that could encourage predators to locate the nest by scent. Unfortunately, nearly everything we use carries some sort of risk for wildlife. Best materials to offer would include natural moss from gardening centers, mulch, leaves from UNsprayed plants.
These eagles learn from their mistakes. One year, they lost a chick that fell from the nest. The next year, they built the nest sides higher. Last year, I think the eggs got too cool, because they had not brought in enough fluff, and had three eggs to tend and keep warm, instead of two. So this year, it's Fluff City! I think this bodes VERY well for them. Perhaps this winter and spring will be successful for them.
I have had the honor of watching this pair for the past 3 years and for two of those years they sacrificed everything and at one point I could watch no more ! But the good news is I think God is taken notice of there past struggles and they will be rewarded with a fertile egg ! By watching her today I thinks it’s close sorry I find myself rambling. 😊
I feel the same @jimstein7358. Such hard struggles they have endured, and I so hope that they'll have an opportunity to have a chance at babies again.🙏🏻 They are such good parents, too.❤🦅🦅❤🙏🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
They're so hard-working and they are a good team! I wish them good luck and appearing their babies.
